LET PROCTOR FOR THE DAY...

I had everything typed yesterday but was not able to publish them so I guess I am gonna be editing them today... Just had my Internet transferred from the old address of Honeysweet to this new one-- The Orange House...

So yesterday, I wrote...

"I just arrived from proctoring the LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS, and I am so so tired... whew... what a long day for me... but it was a good day. I met new friends and the experience has given me another dimension in the face of teaching...and Education in general...

Although I must tell you, there are good and bad sides in this realizations. But most importantly, the good and the bad made me think harder and deeper as to the role I play as a teacher. The vocation I have chosen is rather a very serious one. I am responsible whether a child makes it or breaks it... although, I always think it as a shared effort with the parents and guardians of the said child."

To continue....

This vocation starts the day a teacher chooses to be a teacher. But I hope one decides to become a teacher when teaching has chosen him/her... That way, the person is really cut for the job...By far, during the LET, I have seen that not all of those who are taking the board exams are fit to become teachers. Some of them, NO, most of them, do not know how to follow instructions... let alone READ the instructions... so what do you expect will happen to kids who will be under their supervision???

I just can't imagine the future with teachers like that... What kind of teachers will they become if they do not know how to follow simple instructions??? And what kind of students will they be breeding??? Get my point???

Anyway, as for my Zarelle, for as long as Mommy Darling is alive and kicking, then, she is assured of an extra hand at education... after all, we, mothers are the best teachers for our kids...

As for proctoring for LET next time, whew... I don't know... maybe I will, maybe I won't proctor again... I'll cross the bridge when I get there... ahahaha... It was just a fun and tiring day all in one...

Oh before I end, let me tell you something that's good during the LET. PRC and DEPED had this partnership of soliciting from the examinees and donating used pencils, erasers, rulers and everything that the LET Examinee used during the exam that he or she wishes to donate for the children in the far flung barangays of Misamis Oriental. And guess what all 22 examinees in our room donated their used materials...Isn't that sweet???

Well, maybe they are kindhearted teachers to be... I just hope they do not become too kind in giving the grades...pictures to follow....gotta end here now as I still have boxes to unload...
