So too, there are still some people who maltreat and mistreat others even during the holidays. What a sad Christmas for some. But of course, for others, despite not  having all the luxuries in life, still feel the blessing and happiness brought by Christmas..

Many of you who have followed this blog through the years know that the song in the video is my favorite.. How many years? Hmm. I was in elementary grade, perhaps on my sixth or fifth grade, when I first heard the song played by our neighbor in the old community where we lived. I forgot his name, he who played it, but I swear he was so good, I got stuck in the melody of the song for years.. And perhaps, I could relate to the feeling in the song.. Wedding in December

My friend Tasha is getting married on the twenty fifth of this month. What do you know, it's Christmas Day! So now, I am confused as to what wedding gifts for bride and groom I should buy. Will it be a Christmas theme or something else. Hmm.. But it is quite unique though. Just thinking about it makes me smile. Something naughty for their first night? I wonder if car insurance quotes will go down this season. It seems to me that everything is getting cheaper as Christmas is approaching. Just imagine goods and services on sale at more than half the price. Aside from the sale, there are also lots and lots of freebies to be given away. And it's not only in the shopping malls that you find that. You can also get freebies and discounts from insurance shops and many others. Even in the realty business. Singapore is truly a haven for shoppers and consumers.

The grandest part of this vacation is Tito Noel's birthday, where we checked in at the Marina Bay Sands hotel here in Singapore. Well, it is a really huge landmark, so to speak. It is also a five star hotel with really great amenities. The staff here are all courteous and they all look into each of their guests with not only common courtesy, but with deep sincere aspirations for a person's relaxation and pleasure. It is quite expensive though, but it is definitely worth it. So if you have parties, for birthdays, engagements, birth announcements, and all others, you may want to consider the Marina Bay Sands.. 

From the lobby up to the 57th floor-- The Sky Park, you will surely enjoy every minute there.. Oh, they do not scrimp on anything that they can provide their guests..

It's too hot in my homeland. But when I got here, it is as humid as well. I wish there are holiday villas we can visit to cool down and enjoy vacations, especially this Christmas.. Sweet Thought..

My friend Janice plans to give her husband car insurance for his new car. The car was bought without the insurance as they already have an agent who takes care of their car insurance needs. But then, Jaime thinks it is not time to sign up for car insurance since the car insurance rate he was given is too high. With the new income scheme that Janice is currently enjoying, she wants to share it to Jaime by paying for the said car insurance.. At least Jaime will not have to spend so much for it. Anyway, they are both using the car. 

Well, such a sweet thought. I wonder what other gestures of love I will witness this season. There is always a reason to share, Christmas or not. But it is good to know that people are thinking of becoming better persons during Christmas season. I just wish it will always be so, as the world benefits most in all these positive energies..

Insurance Woes

I was once invited to join this term life insurance company, and because I wanted to invest in it, I opted to join. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that the company was sincere enough so I ended up not signing up for said membership. Plus, they are requiring people to take examinations and some other tricks of teh trade, which I find really unnecessary.

Anyway, after that, news broke out that life insurance and non life insurance are not at all promising. So I guess I didn't really make a bad decision after all. Some people even were not able to cash out on insurances as the company they signed up in got bankrupt. Too bad. But I know they will be able to rise up again. I am still positive that there are still others who think positively about them.

I will be buying a new bathroom scales in line with my diet program. I have not had one in a million years because I have always been carefree about the weight. People are conscious about how they look, and if they gain weight. I am conscious of living longer than expected. That is my ultimate goal in this diet program. I wanna be able to see Lili graduate in Med School or Law School and see her children graduate from said courses too, thereafter. It is not about feeling bad or looking ugly, or losing self esteem. Some people are so pathetic when they talk about losing weight for said reasons. Sorry, but I think losing weight should be a goal for a much deeper and more meaningful goal. Not that I am against any one's reasons for doing so. It is just that I often hear people comment negatively when one is struggling to lose the unwanted pounds. As if they are perfect and lead perfect lives.. 

Well, so much for that. I wanna buy a pink weighing scales... PINK.. Ohlalala..

I have found a lot of Japanese products for beauty and health, and I was thinking of buying from them, and reselling them in the Philippines,as many people would benefit from their products. But my friend Hillary specifically told me to look for acsonix. Well, that is quite a mission, which I am determined to fulfill.

They also have shampoo and lotions and a lot more. I wanna try the cleansing creams and of course, the diet creams. Japanese products are said to be organic, and I guess that makes them more effective.

Care for the Joints

Today I chanced upon www.glucosamineandchondroitin.org, and I have learned how effective glucosamine and chondroitin are to our body. As we grow older, we need to be very careful and protective of our joints, so they have stated. And I couldn't agree more. Beautiful Life in Singapore

Here in Singapore, I have not met anyone who have problems in the face, like acne or simple pimples. I guess the best treatment for acne will never sell here. See, the people here, according to Tito Noel are health and physically conscious. They watch what they eat and what they do. Plus, their environment is clean thus no dust or pollutants can ever harm their skin.

And people here are almost always on their toes, thus, they are always exercising, lol.. Seriously. Whether you go to the bus stop or the MRT, it's always a running situation to be able to catch up with the ride. But of course, if you have your own car, you still do the same, to be able to follow the rules of the road and safety. Well, I hope we can have a similar scene in the Philippines. Maybe in the years to come??? Well, let's see..

My Luggage and Honey's

We discovered Cash Converters in Admiralty and Honey and I were planning to sell our luggages to them. See, we found really great luggages of renowned brands like Travelpro or even the most expensive ones at really great deals. We could actually sell them our luggages and buy ourselves the ones they are selling. We think it is a great deal to get a Travelpro Luggage after we sell our current luggages. But then, I feel that my luggage is still new, so I better not pursue such plan. But who knows.... We may get ourselves really good deals if we do so. 

Anyway, Cash Converters is just around the corner. We can always go there when we feel we should, and get great stuff at affordable prices. I am sure if a branch will open in the Philippines, it will be filled with people selling stuff and more buying more stuff. Surviving..

A lot of people these days, would go into loans and payday advances. The economy is that bad? Well, let's just say that teh challenges in life can always find better back up. Loans and cash advances make it easy for most people to go thorugh life and their current circumstances.

A friend of mine is leaving Singapore for financial reasons. Instead of renting their room again for the end of this month, they are going to use the money to go home. If only he can get a payday loan for said expenses. But he cannot, as he is yet looking for a job. That is quite sad, and no matter how much we want to help, we could only do just what we are able to do.

We are about to print our reports for the leads search when I noticed that the hp ink cartridges were nowhere to be found. we looked everywhere but to no avail. The Tito called and well, we learned that he took them off the printer because a new one will be replaced thereat. Waah, we almost panicked.

Love Taking a Shower

I love taking a shower. I don't really mind what the bathroom fixtures are or what company constructed the bathroom. It could be an expensive bathroom or one that is not known, it doesn't matter. I just love taking showers. But one time, I took a bath and I couldn't help but notice unique bathroom pieces which I earned later on came from betterbathrooms. Then, I started getting conscious about bathrooms. Imagine, every piece contributes to how a bathroom would look or how you would feel when inside it.

So today, as I was sitting on the toilet bowl, I wondered what company made the bathroom here in Woodlands. And what company comprised most fixtures at the Ceylon Lane... See, they look and feel different. In teh Philippines, bathrooms and bathroom pieces and fixtures also look different.

Ah, after an hour of marveling, I decided to take my shower.. hahahah.. just some crazy thoughts on bathrooms..

Flowers

My Lola Linda talks about the plants of Tita Ofelia back in the Philippines. She tells me that Tita Ofelia is a green thumb who grows flowers of many kinds. I also told Lola about Lola Viating who have been an avid orchid grower and loves to take care of them even when she was already sick. Lola asked me if there is one in our generation who likes to take care of flowers, unfortunately, I cannot think of anyone. She says it is also the same in their line. 

Yeah, taking care of flowers is a serious passion. But unfortunately, no one among us cousins were able to get that fancy feeling to be among them. I wonder who will have flowers to take care of when we reach our prime age...

Walking

Walking is a fat burning exercises. And here in Singapore, we have doe so much walking going to the bus stop and especially on the subway. I am not complaining actually, but I found out that I have walked more than I have stayed sitting down doing my online tasks. I feel happy about being able to exercise that way, while we also do our daily exercises at the woodlands ground. 

Hmm. Two or three months here in Singapore and maybe you will no longer recognize me when I come home, believe it lah-- hahahha

Losing the Weight

Yesterday we were invited to attend the Herbalife Buisness Meeting and well, we learned and relearned about the quick weight loss program that they have. That is why Honey and I are thinking of replacing our breakfasts and dinners with the Herbalife Shake.  I have heard so much good results even while in the Philippines and the way we see it, it is by far, economical too. 

Imagine, we spend $10 to $16 for a meal for both of us, while the shake can only cost us $ 3.50 per person per meal. It is definitely better, and we'll lose weight in the process. Hmm. We'll still think about it though. But I guess, that and our daily exercise, I am sure it will do wonders for both of us..

WOWED and SCARED at Once

We went to Serangoon the other day and we chanced upon a Crocodile Farm with a rare opportunity for a FREE entrance. We saw lots of different species of crocodiles and well, the oldest and the biggest of which is fifty years old. He was so huge, we were scared to get near him. After the tour, we went inside the gift shop and well, bought ourselves some souvenirs. I was able to buy a coin purse made of snake's skin, which is the cheapest by the way, $8. 

They also have an rfid wallet for our EZ link tap-up. I think they are all so cool. Really great designs, but really very expensive. 

Anyway, if you are also interested to drop by, they are open anytime.

Halloween has just finished and next thing we will be busy with is Christmas. In other parts of the world, there's still Thanksgiving and of course, here in Singapore,they will be celebrating Deepavali tomorrow. Everyone is excited. But who is more excited? Selling Scooby..

This is the Scooby Doo bedroom slippers I bought River a few years ago. They do not fit him anymore, so we decided to resell the item. I can not afford to keep them as they take up space. Also, I am going to donate the amount for which this will be sold to our current fundraiser beneficiary. When I saw her on television, I told myself that there has got to be a way for me to help her, and fund raising it is. Unfortunately, not all our items are sold yet..  whew.. The mall is now busily decorated with Halloween stuff. Halloween decors everywhere. But come November, after the great feat on Halloween comes Christmas decors and goodies to come bursting in every corner, be it in the mall or in the offices, and most especially in the homes. I love seeing a christmas garland or two, as well as a mistle-toe. I love to kiss underneath it too. hahaha

Are You On A Diet?

Well, I am not really on a diet. I am just using UNO's diet capsules and so far, I find it to be the safest fat burners for me. What's You Halloween Costume?

A few days to go, and we will be having a great Halloween costume party. Well, as how it should be, Halloween parties are usually about the scary costumes as well as the fairy costumes that people usually wear. But later on, it has evolved to include cute and sexy costumes. Anything goes. After all, it's a Halloween costumes parade of some sort. 

I will be dressed as ghost. In their fun day on October 26, Lili will be a pink fairy this year and River wants to be a pirate.  Oh well, even kids get to decide who they want to be during Halloween.. How about you? What costume would you be wearing?

Going To Canada..

My classmate and "Kumare" as what we call each other being that I am the godmother of her son, is now in Canada as a Caregiver. Well, actually, when she entered there, she was just a waitress, then moved from one job to another until she was advised to get herself a health care career by her cousin who lives there.A health care career there sums up bigger allowances and benefits, apart from the salary which she sends her family here in the Philippines. And she had been inviting our other friends and classmates to join her there.

Well, going to Canada was once my dream. But not  just to work but  to relocate. In fact, I had myself undergo the checklist procedures and stuff, but when I had Lili, I didn't want it anymore. Or I didn't think about it anymore as I wanted Lili to have her basic education here in the Philippines. I am assured of a great educational foundation for my daughter since I have enrolled her in one of the best schools in the city. Maybe when Lili is old enough, I'll consider Canada again.

Christmas is just two months away. And since it is almost Christmas, I think it is best to buy presents early to avoid the rush and confusion that the season will bring. At this early, you should have your list already. As Lili and River are excited to wear Halloween costumes for their fun day, my other cousin is also excited to wear prom dresses for their prom in February. Not that it's a new experience for  all of them, NO.. As they have already done so last school year, but perhaps it's the event that is associated to the garments they shall be wearing, as well as the contest as to who wears them the best.. .

I too was excited when I had my chance, back in the good ole days, lol.. I did mention that I am leaving for Singapore in a few days to try my luck there.
