Christmas Benefit Concert for THRIVE

These two classy ladies will sing their heart out in this Christmas Benefit Concert for THRIVE, Cagayan de Oro City's Breast Cancer Awareness Advocacy Group. I was told that the said Christmas Charity Concert is for the treatment for an indigent breast cancer patient supported by THRIVE. 

Doctoring the Law stars Doc Mavy Cooper De Leon and Atty. Sam S. Tan. So join them in this classy evening, December 15, 2012 at the Rodelsa Hall, of Liceo de Cagayan University, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. There are no tickets, but donations of P 300 for those who wish to watch. Just call the contact number listed above for more details. 

Oh, before I drown myself looking for cheap bass at Musicians friend, I would first help them by spreading word about this cause. It takes a community to help, right?

NO To Plastic Bags

In all selling areas, be it the marketplace or the supermarkets, canteens and snack bars, plastic is NOT ALLOWED anymore.  Which is actually very good. Mall shops use paper bags for their products, and most stores have also started using recycled mesh bags, and ecobags. 

I love the idea as it is actually better for our environment. Also, I love the fact that this is now government regulated.

Oh it's Christmas in 34 Days

A few more weeks and Christmas is finally at our doorsteps. I am excited for all the activities and events that we are joining. Plus the friends and family who will be joining us to celebrate. I am also excited for my Christmas loot. Boy, I am feeling like a child again. I hope there will be a bottle of Perry Ellis 18 for me, a patagonia fleece jacket, some bags or purses, and well, anything that is heartily given. I am also excited for our outreach and our feeding program. It will be a first that I am part of the organizing team, so I can not wait for the execution of all our plans.

My office mate is excited as well, as Christmas day is her birthday.

It's Raining!

Oh it's a rainy day. So many people have shouted about the rain in Facebook, and I was quite amazed at how people spend the rainy morning. One was busy cooking his favorite rainy day food, while others dream of dozing off the cold weather. A friend of mine is busy storing cigars as his side of the house where he keeps them, have been dripping into the built-in cabinets.

While I, I am busy doing the grades for the project that my students have passed. If this rain will only stop, we could all have our normal routines.

We were invited to watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 of the Twilight Saga. And I must admit that it was quite a good movie compared to the other Twilight movies I saw.  I guess it was because of the vision of Alice that she shared to Aro,  the Volturi leader. There was so much action and I love it.

Much Ado About Centrio

Everyone's talking about the opening of Centrio. Yesterday, in most of my classes, the students asked if I am excited to be at Centrio too. Of course, I am excited, but yesterday I was really busy that I was not able to attend some blogger invites. After all, it was still a Friday, and I am a teacher from Monday to Friday. But today, I will be going there to attend an invitation with my fellow bloggers. And perhaps I can find a shop that sells garage flooring tiles, after our event. We have been planning to have new garage flooring tiles at my parent's place, but we have not really decided on the design, and tiles can provide the inspiration for that.

At Facebook, and Twitter, Centrio opening has also been trending since early morning of Thursday. People have been talking about their excitement about the place, and the artists that graced the occasion. Not to mention, ASAP, a popular show on television, was also there yesterday, and it will air on Sunday. From my friends updates, I saw the many people who went there.. WOW..
