PURPLE CHRISTMAS 2009

Last night, we went to Caltex NHA, and had our yearly get together there. Our theme for this year's party is PURPLE Christmas, hence, most of us were wearing PURPLE... As usual, we became the judges and helped during the party of our Aunt Vicky's company party. But when it was time for exchanging of gifts and eating, we have our small circle and went ahead with our own gathering..

There were games, dances and the highlight of the party, MONEY SHOWER...

Below is my cousin Kyna, the games mistress of the night...

And of course, Aunt Vicky giving fruits and money to her people and the party visitors...

But as for us, the gifts below made us busy.. Our yearly Manito Manita...
Thanks Precious for my gift... I so love the color and the plunging neckline, lol... It's so me... hehehe...

ipage hosting

Today, I came upon www.webhostingchoice.com and I couldn't help but notice the ipage hosting that they have introduced. It's quite new to me. Anyway, for those who also do not know what it is all about, here are a few tid bits gathered from my readings. Technically, it is a customer-centric hosting company that has taken "Easy-to-Use" or "User-friendly" to a new height. With a snap, from the "getting started wizard", a tool which guides users in setting up email and publishing a site, to the quality web builder that offers lots of customizable templates , thus, getting a website has never been easier.. They offer unlimited space, bandwidth and a free domain, which is becoming the standard for web hosts. However, iPage proves to be cut among the rest with its robust but simple control panel that is a bit more versatile than cPanel and better integrated with iPages support and educational offerings. They also offers malware and spam scanning, business verification and an online security certificate as part of its hosting plans.

Cant' get that from other companies.. Anyway, aside all those mentioned above, their customer websites are eco-friendly because iPage is powered by 100% wind energy. WOW! And of course, they're also one of the few hosts qualified to offer $50 in Google Adword credits (most have a max of $25).

So far, www.webhostingchoice.com rates them highly, although it is newer to them. Accordingly, they are not new to the hosting industry, which is they have been ranked 3rd.

Get a Chance to Win Auctions at Bidazzled

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.

A friend of mine mentioned that with just $12 she has bought a laptop at Bidazzled. I was stunned at the thought. I can not believe that such a pricey item could be bought for a slow as $12.. Hmm. I thought there was something fishy going on. Then she told me that www.bidazzled.com allows just that. And there are other possibilities.

So since she mentioned the site, I went and studied it for myself. I found out that Bidazzled.com was launched in early November, and since then, it has been redefining the online auction market by the savings they offer. Imagine savings of up to 90% on name brand merchandise, at the same time, Bidazzled is funding a charity. Previously, it was commonly called Penny Auctions or Pay-Per-Bid auction sites. And technically, the bids are purchased in advance and then used to bid on merchandise. The price increases a few cents with each bid placed and a few seconds are added to the countdown clock to give others a chance to bid. It is similar to Ebay auctions, if you are familiar with it. However, at Bidazzled, your money goes a long way.. The auction ends when no other bids are placed. So if a new laptop ends at just a dollar, or in my friend's case, $12, then you win the laptop for that price. Amazing, isn't it?

Gifts for Myself...

All hard work and no play. I have decided to reward myself with two new pairs of shoes. A pair of earrings, a new blouse and a pair of pants. Whew.. Price costs are way overboard, but I was able to manage to get the best deals. Like the shoes for instance. Rusty Lopez gave me 15% discount on each pair I bought so it has reduced my load, lol.. The rest of my self gifts also came with a discount, so I am happy.

Rewarding myself means that I am able to give myself a chance to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I am not complaining, but I guess, all my income mostly go to bills and to my daughter's needs. Yes, I also have mine, but they are plainly needs. The rewards I have gifted myself are the wants that I have long skimped. And since it's Christmas, it's all but fair that I give myself something..

Sofa for Christmas

I had my curtains made and now that I have someone to assist me in taking care of the house, I would love to buy a dining table as well as contemporary sofas. It's a good way of repairing my life. Re arranging it and getting it a make over. Sometimes I feel that the soul of my house also represents me in totality. I needed a makeover, psychologically, spiritually and emotionally because I was devastated and traumatized by what happened to me. Now that I have pulled myself together, this is not so much of a problem. So I am now trying to get things working to the best advantage and I guess, getting myself a new sofa for Christmas would be the start of it all.. The curtains will be up before the New Year... Ah.. lovely... I could almost see it now...

As I leave behind the monsters of the past in 2009, I am anticipating a fruitful and more aesthetic New Year to come...

Still Waiting...

I am still waiting for my prize to arrive. I was told that Hasbro distributor here in the Philippines will be sending me the prize I have won in the blogging contest at Animetrics. Anyway, I can't help but be excited as I anticipate its arrival. Just as I said in my previous post, this is the first time I won something for real.. Well, technically, there was a chance in the past but the blogger who had the said contest did not send me the $5 I won.. And she went MIA in blogosphere...

pepper spray: the all time girl's best friend

I read online about a girl who was able to escape a possible robbery and rape by merely using pepper spray. And I am really astonished as to how her escape proved to be a pain for her perpetrators..

Anyway, speaking of pepper sprays, and escaping danger. I came upon a site that specializes on just that; Girl's safety. That's www.safetygirl.com, and Safety girls amazes me more as it specializes in multiple safety items for women in the work field. Their main product of sale is pepper spray, but they also have other safety products and clothing. What amazes me more is the fact that these safety gadgets and clothing are even more stylish and trendy for women to look good in them too. WOW!

Take for instance, the image below:

Technically, hard hats appear boring and in one color only. But at safety girl, the colors will really astound you...

Below are other products found for a woman's safety and protection...

Well, what do you think? Which reminds me, I think they will make a good addition to VDAY 2010 sponsors.. Hmm. Anyway, do visit their site, www.safetygirl.com for more information...

Girl Talk...

My aunt was wearing this really nice outfit one time and I noticed that she has great slim legs, but on the upper part, she needs a tummy tuck. I told her that if she losses her tummy, she's good as a supermodel already. I, on the other hand, is big all over. I am afraid that if I lose the flabs on top, the legs would still be the same.. But she assured me that if I lose the flab on top, the flabs below will follow.. Uhm.. We'll see..

Carmz: More Than Just My Kindness Project

I have adopted a 5 months pregnant woman who wanted to work for me so she can pay her debt and graduate from the Reflexology/Massage Therapy Course she is taking at Our Lady of Fatima Therapeutic Clinic Center.

I was so moved by her story and her wish to graduate despite the fact that she has no money.. And with her stories and kindness and her hard work, I have seen a very bright future already for her. I vowed to help her in whatever way possible, for as long as I am able to... I am not perfect, and I am not rich, but somehow I know that whatever help I can extend will make this world a better place to live in, as she is one beautiful person who is sent by God for a purpose, I have yet to discover.. And if financial constraints get along the way of my desire to help her, I leave the rest to God...

Anyway, if you have not started your ripple of kindness in this season of hope, I am inviting you to join us at www.kindness.yahoo.com...

It may not be as grand as you can imagine. It may just be as simple as giving a candy or sharing a table or a seat with total strangers, but with this ripple of kindness, we make the world better, in our own special way....

As with kindnesses, I know I have given my share even before I have learned of this from kindness.yahoo, and it's nice to share what we have done so that others may be inspired to do the same. If we think about it, it all comes back to us. Maybe not repaid by the same person we helped or shared kindnesses with, but in times when we are in need, someone somewhere is always ready to lend a helping hand...

I wonder...

OMG! Our classmate just flew in from the United States and she looks really different. I wonder if she did something drastic such as Liposuction or if she just went with the natural way of losing weight... Ah, maybe the latter or maybe both. The last time we were chatting, she was yet huge. But I guess six months really makes a big difference. Hmmm.. I wonder...

And shh.. Don't tell anyone, I am thinking of doing the same..

Parents of the Year

I was commissioned by Marymount Academy to prepare the certificates for Parents of the year last year. This year, they solicited from me the printing of the said certificates, and below were the finished product.

Of course, these were signed and framed before they distributed during Marymount Academy's family day last December 6, 2009...

Congratulations to all these wonderful parents. Your support for your children's endeavors, as well as the school's is truly appreciated..

beds for sale

My sister is finally coming home in three days. That is why I am busy looking for beds for sale with really affordable prices. And I guess, my foremost requirement is its space saving attributes. I searched online and below is a bed that is beyond comfort and space saving...

It's actually called an Ottoman Storage bed and I found it at www.time4sleep.co.uk, where I always find a dreamy bed to want...

LSC Christmas Party: Our Food

A very huge Lechon (Roasted Pig) was brought and donated by the Tabasuares Family during the party. The above photo was our share... The skin was oh so crispy...

Spaghetti with sweet and spicy sauce, two pieces delicious crispy fried chicken and 2 slices of bread was what we got for each meal ticket, along with a glass of soft drink per plate...

Short Term Insurance Made the Lights Shine...

My neighbor was able to put all her lights on this Christmas season. Last year, it was such a pity that they didn't even have electricity even during the holidays. I heard that the eldest son took a Short Term Insurance for his boss' car that was provided by his company, and when it crashed the lamppost on their street, it paid up for the expenses to restore the car, as well as earned him extra to pay all the bills left by their deceased father. Well, that is truly great news as they have half a dozen kids living in the house. You could just imagine how dangerous it would be to celebrate with candle sticks and the like... Hmmm.

God bless them this season...

A Video Call

Who wouldn't want to have the fastest and the easiest way to do a conference with over 10-20 people from all around the globe just by sitting down on your own cube? A video call is what I am talking about here. That would surely save time and costs. I actually read from www.conferencegenie.co.uk that it's a very convenient way to view callers on video, share work and make presentations, and that is across the world. The best thing about this is that there is no software to download. All that is needed is an Internet connection.

I bet that part excited you. Am I right? Their Video Conferencing service is easy to use and they'll help each interested party get started with a free one-on-one training. All that's necessary is to register for Conference Genie PLUS first.

I guess with this technology, we can also lessen our carbon footprint, thus make our environment better as we communicate faster and far better...

Hmm.. I wonder. If all people will be using this, whether for work or for family and relationships, then I guess missed communication and the lack of communication can surely be prevented..

Won’t you agree? Uhm.. That’s just me.. But, seriously, I think this does not only apply in business or the workplace. I believe this technology can also help bridge relationships…

Much Ado About Gold...

My mom always said that gold is a very good investment. In fact, she encourages us to buy gold jewelries, whether we would like to wear them or not. Her point is that gold does not depreciate like all other investments. Other people buy gold coin or even buy gold bullion because of the same reasons. However, to buy bullion or to purchase gold bullion, to be exact, is quite a skill and mastery is required.

See, if you simply buy without ever knowing where to get the best deals, then there may be some problems to encounter later on. Gold bullion should only be bought where one can be assured of its true value, and not land into fakes and such..

As for me, I guess I have started with the gold jewelry, though I don't wear them for fear of being robbed even in broad daylight.

Very Nice Video, Makes Me Cry...

Merry Christmas everyone.. May we all find the real meaning of Christmas...
