WHERE I CELEBRATED MAMA MARY'S BIRTHDAY..

I went to the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Camaman-an on September 8, 2009 for Mama Mary's birthday... I wanted to hear mass but I found out that the mass was held at dawn that day.. So I simply lit 3 candles.. and went inside to pray..
I was so happy to find that the mantle I donated was placed on the pedestal that held the Virgin Mother. Actually, when Vong and I went there to change the previous mantle the day before, we were not able to do so because the people working at the church decorations have already replaced it with something else...an old mantle. And they have already placed the flowers so it was difficult to have it removed... They simply accepted our gift and told us that it will be replaced after the festivities...  I was heartbroken and did not expect to find it there on September 8... I thought that the mantle shown on the picture below was what I would still find..
Thank You so much Mama Mary for accepting my gift...

BEYOND THE FOOTBALL GAME..

The sportsdad loves to play soccer especially when he is stressed out. I think that is his way of coping with all the complexities in his life--- My friend Shane however, loves to watch soccer or football on DVD.. And when he and the rest of the guys would hang around the house, they would often ask me to turn on the TV for a game or two.. My friends, girls and boys alike,  and even gay friends would not argue, instead agree with Shane in the spirit of fun..   I could almost always witness their crazy Football Betting that always ends with me in the kitchen cooking more and more foodies for them..ha! Their budget of course.. and the winner gets to buy the drinks to match..

Mary Claire on the other hand, would bug me to use the computers for her Football Betting Online.. Waah.. Isn't it weird? I am not a sports buff but my friends are crazy over Football Sports Betting.. waahh...

Creating and Living a GREAT Life! by: Phil Humbert

What does a GREAT life mean to you? That is one of the most important questions an adult can ask - and answer.
Too many of us never deeply examine that question. We fantasize about having money or fame or raising a family, perhaps owning a house in the Hamptons, but we never rigorously decide exactly what our one and only, unique, GREAT LIFE should look like.

We all know that a great life does not happen by accident. A great life is not easy and it does not come with a diploma, a promotion, getting married (or divorced), having kids or retiring early. It cannot be inherited and it never comes like an accessory with the "goodies" of life. Sure, lots of money, a penthouse apartment, political power or winning the Nobel Prize are wonderful things and I encourage you to aspire to ALL of them.
But none of them will guarantee you a great life.
A GREAT life has a grand purpose, a central theme and a unifying vision. A great life is a lifestyle that is chosen "on purpose" and is lived in the service of a vision greater than itself. A great life is living "a life of one’s own" and it is invested, not merely spent.
Second, a GREAT life makes a great contribution. A great life uses its talents and abilities to make at least one small corner of the world better. A great life stands up, speaks out, and gets things done. A GREAT life makes a difference and leaves the world better than we found it.
Third, a GREAT life leaves a path for others to follow. It is good to do great things; it’s even better to do great things and teach others to follow your lead.
A GREAT life leaves a legacy. A GREAT life inspires the next generation to go further, reach farther, dream bigger and achieve more.

I am convinced that every one of us has the right to a GREAT life. Greatness is not reserved for a lucky few, for the rich or the powerful, for the artistic or for any small category of people. Living a GREAT life is the birthright of every human being, whether we express greatness in designing tall buildings, or by teaching children to stand tall.
Greatness is our birthright, whether we express ourselves in business or government, in art or music, in parenting, or in any of the thousands of so-called "small" things. Most people remember a special teacher, and many of us had an uncle who taught us to whistle or a grandmother who taught us to read. Perhaps there was a neighbor who taught us to fish, who gave us our first job, or dared us to persevere when things were hard.

I love the story of the "star thrower," about a man walking on a beach after a storm, throwing starfish back into the ocean so they won’t die on the shore. Someone criticizes him for wasting his time, noting there are millions of starfish, and the few he saves won’t make much difference. The man silently bends over, throws a starfish into the surf and replies, "It made a difference for that one."
Set it as your minimum standard to live a GREAT life, to make a difference and have some fun! Eventually, down the road one day, we all look back and assess our life and when that time comes, we want to smile, knowing we did it right. Set that as your standard, and go for it!
I call finding your purpose your ‘WHY.’  Why are you willing to do things that others won’t?  What is driving you towards your greatness?  And, who will be on your team to help you get there?  What vehicle will you use to achieve your freedom?
Remember,
DREAM BIG DREAMS, SMALL DREAMS HAVE NO MAGIC!

STILL NOT DONE SEARCHING ABOUT WEBHOSTING...

Another site I consulted prior to my webhosting needs and concerns is www.findmyhosting.com. They also have the Best 10 Hosting sites discussed thoroughly..  The web hosting sites which were rated highest in the industry are listed in the screen shot above. Ranking is based on reliability, affordability, uptime, features, ease-of-use and overall support. The site is also very helpful if you are looking to have your site hosted. Great savings mark a wise decision. Ha.. This is indeed one great task if you ask me. Hosting is easy if you are already familiar with everything.. But if you are a still in the learning phase like me, it really helps to look into sites like www.findmyhosting.com to help you decide.

After one year blogging, I am still learning the ropes of the trade. Blogging is easy. But making sure that your site is running the right path is difficult. That's why you definitely need help from reliable sources such the site I am talking about here... Because, if you have made the right choice, you can never go wrong. And you end up saving a lot of money... The site just makes it simple for each reader or visitor to understand the comparison…
See the screen shots below:

Or, why don't you just visit the site...

LOBSTER

I posted this in my old blog, Mirrors...I find this to be worth sharing here, so reposting it now...

LOBSTER~~~
When left high and dry among the rocks has not instinct and energy enough to work his way back to the sea, but waits for the sea to come to him.

If it does not come, he remains where he is and dies, although the slightest effort would enable him to reach the waves which are perhaps within a yard of him.

The world is full of human lobsters:

Men stranded on the rocks of indecision and procrastination, who, instead of putting forth their own energies, are waiting for some grand wave of good fortune to set them afloat.

So, what do you think?

HOST GATOR

I mentioned in my previous blog that I am looking for a good hosting for my new blog, I BLOG U CDO, and previously, I posted about the 10 best webhosts as enumerated at webhostingchoice. And yes, I am checking them out, one by one... So here I am viewing or should I say reading a review about host gator, and I find that it is if fact very beneficial for me.
I found out that they have 5000 servers at their headquarters in Houston, Texas. Since its establishment in 2002, they have gone on to become a leader in the industry, now hosting over 1 million domains. And I think will include mine soon.. that is is the fickle minded me decides to, lol...
What I specifically like is that they offer a choice of three hosting plans on their Linux servers, and each with a great range of features and tools, unlimited storage allowance and unlimited bandwidth. Unfortunately, the only downside is there's no domain included with any of them. But as for me, I don't really mind because I can easily buy a domain at Go Daddy at a very minimum cost... With host gator, ease-of-use is guaranteed with the top-rated Cpanel as the control panel software of choice, meaning accounts can be managed simply and efficiently. The Fantastico script library comes included, providing 52 scripts suitable for forums, blogs or e-commerce sites. In fact, most of my friends are using host gator.. That's why I looked at it first...
I guess I will have to decide later when I have looked up everything else.. But for whatever it's worth, I think host gator is already okay for me...

THE FROG PRINCE: A MODERN DAY TALE

Two years ago, I read this from the book of Allison Pearson, "I don’t know how she does it". It was really a very good book to read, especially recommended for women with kids, who are thankful for having kids, and also for those who have a career to juggle and a household to manage (including a husband who complains of not enough time for the two of them) ....

....whew----
"Once upon a time, in a land far away,(why do fairy tales always start that way???) a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond, in a verdant meadow, near her castle. The frog hopped into the princess’ lap and said, "Sweet lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell on me. One kiss from you, however, and I willturn back into the dapper prince that i am. Then, my sweet, we can marry and set up house in your castle, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so."

That night, dining on the repast of lightly sauteed frog legs, the princess chuckled to herself, and thought, "I don’t f-ck-ng think so…"

That is where many of our modern day frog princes are wrong--- They think that just because women are married to them, they can make a slave out of  the women who took their names...Marriage is not something to be grateful for.. It is a choice and a commitment! It is a journey between EQUALS... It is not something you owe your husband for marrying you.. Women are far better than how they were back in the dark ages--- We now have better lives because we deserve to live better.. And come to think of it, with or without men, we can exist and live happy lives.. After all, we are the stronger sex-- hahaha...
Think about these points:
  • We can think and  at the same time do hard labor---
  • We know how to balance between play and work and family time---
  • We take on more responsibilities other than make money for our family's benefit--
  • We can run a household and at the same time run an office/department or do huge charity or marketing campaigns...
  • When a child gets sick, we can survive not sleeping 24 hours if only to see our kids through---
  • Husbands can not survive family affairs and family life in general without their wives---
If all these things I pointed out are not true, then how come most men have a wife and a mistress at the same time a plaything and a fling...  Not to mention the doting mother who still competes with all the women mentioned even at the age of 34-45...
Well???? Just give me some comments.. I will hear you out--- NO FIGHTING, OKAY (WINK)... LMAO...

TOP TEN WEB HOSTS

The photo here is a screen capture from www.webhostingchoice.com. I am actually in the process of searching for a new host for my new blog, I BLOG U CDO, since I am planning to get a domain and have it hosted as well. So the site has the ten top hosts and I think I am going to see which one will best fit my need.
The site, webhosting choice, is actually a free research guide that could help users, like me, choose the right web host for  personal or business websites. In my case, of course, for my blogs...
They focus on providing a simple, easy to follow site to help us users choose what may be the  best web hosting plan that is  most suitable for  our site, whether it is a small site or  a large e-commerce website. What I specifically like is the fact that the possible fees and terms are also presented so we really can see how each host will fair and how each host can be helpful to us, both in service and in savings... wink..
There are reviews provided and prices too. So we just have to do a few more clicks and read some more and decide.. Truly, this site is amazing and helpful for me.. If you want to know more simply visit site...

A WOMAN'S SECRET AND PRAYER

Here's another repost from my old blog, MIRRORS...Reading my old blog is like a trip down memory lane.. It allows me to get to know myself again.. The post reposted here may have been something sent to me on email but when I share them in my blog, it means I believe in them so much or that I find them to be TRUE... and worthy to be shared and reposted... As it may be helpful somehow-

A Woman’s Secret ..

There was once a man and woman who had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared  everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.
For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover…. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife’s bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $25,000. He asked her
about the contents. "When we were to be married," she said, "my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and  crochet a doll."
The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness……
"Honey," he said, "that explains the dolls, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?" "Oh," she said, "that’s the money I made from selling all the dolls…

Women will love this more……………

A Woman's Prayer

Dear God, I pray for :
Wisdom to understand my man; Love to forgive him; And Patience for his moods; because God, if I pray for Strength, I’ll beat him to death....

I love this site...

Lili and i were surfing the net last night before her Ina (my sister Sweet) came for a sleep over. We were actually looking at lovely hats and baby banz swimwear because she wants some. I guess you could say that my baby is now very much oriented with the net and she knows that if we want something, we easily find them online...

So we searched Google and he lead us to this really nice baby site, www.babysafetravel.com. I like browsing through the site because it is easy to move from page to another as all pages load easily. Plus they have baby travel tips that would surely be useful. You can actually read Infant Tips, Crawler Tips, Walker Tips and Multiples Tips... And if you are a mom who wants to be a member at their site, you can actually make a baby blog and it will be featured for all to see. You can post pictures and write about your baby and the wonders he or she brings in your life.. The blog is actually categorized four ways: Beach Baby, Adventure Baby, Snow Baby and Wild Child... Of course the baby boutique that Lili and I were looking at are categorized as Bath Gear, Sleep Gear, Seasonal, Diaper Bags, Travel Gear, Strollers, Baby Carriers, Feeding Time and Safety. So under these categories, you will find so many things that could help in your travel with baby...
Lastly, this site can help you book your trip and they have link for United States Hotels, Canada Hotels, Australia Hotels, Europe Hotels and International Hotels...So, if you wish to travel and find all these things in one site, go to www.babysafetravel.com...
As for Lili, she just wants the pink hat and shades.. wink..wink..

NOT AFRAID OF SNAKE...

This is my sister Sweet. She used to be afraid of snakes.. That, when we were growing up.. This picture amazes me as she has already learned to conquer her fear..
My problem now is Lili. She is still afraid of Monsters, the monsters in her life book----
I am not expecting that Lili will carry them like how her Ina has carried this snake on photo though, hahahah...

MORE THAN WATCHING SPORTS

I think every time there is a boxing bout between Manny Pacquiao and his opponent, there is also sports gambling. It is not a secret anymore that men and even some women all over the world would do gambling on sports... In some countries, it is even legalized. Well, legal or not, it does not stop people.
I remember during Pacquiao's last fight, a man and a woman on the jeepney talked about it like it was a matter of life and death-- Of ocurse, Pacquiao won and the two of them according to their tales, have won the little gambling game..lol.. There are also others who would bet on horses during horse races.. Others on the NFL, NBA and all other sports.. and those who can not be there to do the bets even do the betting through offshore sports gambling...
There is really no stopping people from betting. I think it gives people that high especially when they win in the bet.. Well, if you ask me, I too have had a betting game over Pacquiao. And I won so I was treated by my friend to a movie...Most cases, sports gambling entails money but in our case, it was a dinner and a movie..

TREATMENT FOR SCARS

Lili's legs are scarred. She had allergies previously that she had scratched and when they bled, that's the only time she stopped. That's the reason why we are seeing this allergeologist who could help find out what is causing her allergies. So we can stop her from scratching and scarring her legs some more. Imagine, from the redness brought about by the allergy, then the scars from her scratching them.. Hmm.. Anyway, my cousins told me about the rosacea treatment a friend of theirs have applied, and they are now gone. But Lili is yet very young. Anyway, I couldn't help but verify online as to what this treatment is all about and if it could be possible for Lili to use it.
I searched first from wikipedia and found that is a chronic condition characterized by facial redness. Pimples are sometimes included as part of the definition.Unless it affects the eyes, it is typically a harmless cosmetic condition. Treatment, if wanted, usually involves topical medications to reduce inflammation. It primarily affects Caucasiansof mainly northwestern European descent and has been nicknamed the 'curse of the Celts' by some in Britain and Ireland, but can also affect people of other ethnicities. Rosacea affects both sexes, but is almost three times more common in women. It has a peak age of onset between 30 and 60. Rosacea typically begins as redness on the central face across the cheeks, nose, or forehead, but can also less commonly affect the neck, chest, ears, and scalp. In some cases, additional symptoms, such as semi-permanent redness, dilation of superficial blood vessels on the face , red domed small bumps and  red gritty eyes, burning and stinging sensations, and in some advanced cases, a red lobulated nose  may develop.

I found out at www.zenmed.com that this treatment really works. And they have the Rosacea Treatment that my cousins mentioned. Suffering from frequent flare-ups and the annoying redness and blotchiness associated with Rosacea, should be treated immediately. Rosacea, according to the site,  is a skin condition that must be kept under control to prevent it from spreading and getting worse. The company created a solution that not only handles flare up as they occur, but also works to prevent future flare ups. And nourishing the skin is the most important way of doing this, as preventative therapy is the best medicine, rather than cure.

As for Lili's allergies and scars, I don't think she needs a rosacea treatment. But I do agree that we should prevent that from ever happening..

C-BOX OFF

I'm taking down my cbox.. so you guys just have to leave messages on my comments section.. hope that's okay.. My reason? It went crazy in the last few days and it caused me much trouble.. so, I am gonna have to let her go for a few days or so... I hope that it's okay with all of you...

slatwall accessories

Since Bisa left without ever saying that she'll come back or not,I had been busy cleaning up and organizing the orange house. Turning the house up side down and rearranging stuff-- whew-- That explains backlogs and lots of jobs undone here online.. Anyway, I am not yet done but I will be soon after I install slatwall accessories to fully organize everything at the orange house. I think I will need to buy more so I will drop by the mall today and get some more. I will need two more for the bathroom, three more for the kitchen and of course, a few more for the two bedrooms. Not to mention that the play area would definitely need a few more also. Ah.. I could just imagine it now. All things in place. Lili and River would just have to get their toys and school related stuff placed in the baskets on the wall, or the little bags and stuff of my little girl properly organized in her room. Wouldn’t that be heavenly?
Last night, while I was online, I kinda looked for designs of slatwall accessories and I found this really interesting site that sells them. I love the designs of their slatwall accessories. If you are interested also, drop by www.mfriedfixtures.com to see what I am talking about here.

WAITING FOR MY REAL LIFE TO BEGIN...

Sherry gave me a burned CD today and this song is in it.. Sharing it here... A video from you tube..

Below is the lyrics..

Any minute now my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
And I'll stand on the bow
And feel the waves come crashing
Come crashing down, down, down on me

And you said,"Be still, my love
Open up your heart
Let the light shine in"
Don't you understand?
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

When I awoke today suddenly nothing happened
But in my dreams I slew the dragon
And down this beaten path
And up this cobbled lane
I'm walking in my own footsteps once again

And you say,"Just be here now
Forget about the past
Your mask is wearing thin"
Let me throw one more dice
I know that I can win
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

Any minute now my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
And I'll check my machine
There's sure to be that call
It's gonna happen soon, soon, oh so very soon
It's just that times are lean

And you say,"Be still, my love
Open up your heart
Let the light shine in"
Don't you understand?
I already have a plan
I'm waiting for my real life to begin

Hey heyeyeyeyey
Hey yeeeeeee
Hey heyeyeyeyey
Eeh eeh eeh eeh eh x5

On a clear day
I can see, see for a long way

On a clear day
I can see, see a very long way

Nice isn't it?

COLLEGE FUND

We opened Lili's piggy bank today and placed the money in her bank account.  I told Lili that whatever money we will be able to save will go to her college fund. So she can go to school and be whatever she wants to be.. And she agrees all the time and will add that she wants to be a doctor like her Ninang Darlene, not a lawyer like her grandpa Bastian. Lately, she tells me that she wants to be a teacher like me and a doctor and a dancer--- that will go to another post, lol..
Anyway, saving on piggy banks or opening bank accounts for children is a nice way of instilling in children the value of money and what they should be used for. Of course, because I work at home and that I sleep late, she knows how hard money is to find, so she is not like the other kids who do not know what mommy or daddy does to make money. She knows that mommy blogs and one time she typed some crazy letters and pasted her pictures taken from the webcam on a wordpage and called me. She then told me to use her blog so she can help make money---- With the thought, I am grateful, I simply smiled and told her that when she is older she will have her own blog to make money also..
FYI: She has two piggy banks..the one in photo was the one I asked her dad to buy her at SM.. the other which I gave is not full yet so we will not open it yet...

GOLD, GOLD, GOLD...

My friend Aleema says she wants to buy gold.. I didn't quite understand her at first so I pointed her to a pawnshop, silly me. She was actually talking about wanting to buy gold coins... Ah, so my friend is collecting them... She had always been on the look out for a great find, a good place to buy gold coins since she graduated from college. She also wants to buy gold bullion as it is also a good investment. It was actually her Swedish ex-boyfriend who taught her how to buy bullion and gold coins at the rate that should be profitable, thus Aleema makes a good deal of business out of her collection.

When I first met her in chat, I thought she was simply faking or joking about it, but soon my research proved that Aleema is indeed in a very good profitable business. I started asking her how it should be done and how to go about it. AH! The interest is now urging me to know more... Hmm.. It may require a bigger capital or so but I think it will be worth it. Just what Aleema told me, nothing in this life, especially in business, career or love life, will take flight for as long as the wings are clipped... Ah.. from Gold to golden thoughts..

FIRST @ TMI

TMI Thursday
Here is a meme which is new to me on this blog. I find this exclusively for the strong, bold and confident as this has some adult nature that some people would like to stray away from.. But let me just say that I have read a few TMIs and some of them are not really gross or adult in nature but in the spirit of the TMI, it makes fun of some experience a person has in his life...

My TMI experience would be that time, when I was yet in college. And I really felt humiliated but was able to do something about it---

It was during the time of our sports fest, PT Department.  We opened it with a cheering competition and I was one of teh cheerleaders. This is not the usual cheer leading that you guys may be familiar with.. All of us cheers squad leaders were on the heavy side of the scale, but "cute".. wink..wink.. And oh, this has nothing to do with my TMI experience, lol..

To cut the story, let me just give you a clear picture. The Physical Therapy department have chosen color white for this cheering competition.. All of us! We were only divided and subdivided into the different colors of our team.. We belonged to the yellow team.. So I wore white shorts, our white tee shirt and a nice classy hat with a yellow ribbon on it..

After the competition, we walked towards Twinky's (it was still open at that time, now it is the location of Tapsi Time) and as we were walking I slipped at this mound of dirt that have turned muddy. I sat there, I didn't move.. All of our friends and classmates and school mates have passed me by and all of them with the same question.. "Eleanor, what are you doing there?" I told them I was too tired to walk, so I continued to sit there till everyone was out of sight..hahaha.. When everyone has gone, friends Tish, Chummy, Matet and Gigi came and helped me up.. And of course, with mud on my butt, with the white shorts and all, sitting on the mound was better than walking ahead of everyone else and be the talk of the entire event, hahaha.. We went to Chuumy's place and I took a bath and changed into something clean and we went back to the sports center like nothing happened.. But everytime I remember that, I laugh at myself..

DURIAN FLAVORED PEANUT BUTTER & DURIAN JAM SANDWICH---

It's not every day that I make an interesting sandwich.. Infact, if you look at the sandwich in photo, you could really say that it is practically BORING! So why should you eat this sandwich?
Well, for one thing, it is made of the best ingredients and the sandwich creator did it for LOVE.. hahaha...
Well, technically, when I do wonders FROM MY KITCHEN, it is always done out of LOVE, not only for food but for the people I am going to serve them to--- I think I have mentioned that in my previous blogs...
So what makes this sandwich stand out? The bread is from Goldilocks.. and the spreads used are imported from DAVAO CITY, THE LAND OF THE FAMOUS DURIAN--- waah---
So  it is uniquely "Durian" in everything, minus the Durian smell that some people do not like.. well, actually, there is a bit of Durian scent in the sandwich, it's just that the smell of  Peanut almost overlaps---
And how did I make the sandwich? Well, when I spread them, I did it in a pattern... Peanut Butter, Durian Jam, Peanut Butter on one slice and Durian Jam, Peanut Butter, Durian Jam on the other...
And when the two slices were closed like a book, the Peanut Butter and the Durian Jam kissed in perfection---

Lili and River loved my creation--- and that's the best part of making this treat---

In this photo, the other slice was done by the kids so they had a sense of achievement helping...

Truly YUMMY! And fun too--- Submitted this as my entry for FROM MY KITCHEN...

There is help!

Today, I was able to do my rounds here online and surfed some good information from very interesting sites. As a blogger, it is really a good idea to blog hop and browse the web for relevant information. One of the interesting sites I came by today is www.cleardebt.co.uk, where I learned about how their services could help those in need of Debt Management. I also learned about IVA or what is known as Individual Voluntary Arrangement("IVA"), which is a legally binding agreement between the person who will borrow money and all the people and organizations this person owes money from or commonly categorized as the creditors and lenders agreement.

Here in the Philippines, there are so may ways as to guarantee that the borrower will really pay the creditor. One is  the issuance of checks and if they will bounce, the lender will be charged with ESTAFA.. Although in most cases, the creditor also believes that there should be some solid material such as land titles and certificates of ownership aside from the agreement between them.. And some creditors would also resort to getting the ATM card of the lenders for easy access to their payments, and in these cases, the guarantee are usually the monthly salary or bonuses.

With IVA however, with the help of a licensed insolvency practitioner, the creditor will  work out what he or she  can realistically afford to pay back over a period of time. That is usually in a matter of 3-5 years. The good part about this system is that, if  3/4ths of  the creditors agree, all  debts and the future interest on them will be frozen at the time that the IVA proposal is agreed. Isn't that amazing? The creditors will usually let go of  some of the debts owed and at the end of the agreed period these debts are written off provided that the negotiated monthly IVA payments are consistently met.

If you are interested, go to the site and take the two-minute ClearDebt Analyser test to give you a personalized initial assessment of whether a ClearDebt IVA could be right for you!

I was lucky to have met Miss Janette Toral when she was here in Cagayan de Oro for the Digital Filipino Event sponsored by Syntactics. And when I learned that the DigitalFilipino Club is organizing its first E-Commerce Summit this November 12 & 13 at Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City, I couldn't help but make a post about that to help drive information. After all, what are blogs for, lol..

Anyway, for those who are not familiar yet, DigitalFilipino Club is a community of e-commerce entrepreneurs, professionals, and enthusiasts. And this 1ST E-Commerce will be beneficial for all members to learn the tricks and some tips on the trade.. Invited speakers are CEOs of various SMEs / Corporate Club Members, 2-time DigitalFilipino Web Awards winners to share their best practices. That's a very good way to Learn e-commerce best practices at the DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit. But of course, aside from that, there are also E-Commerce and Search Engine Marketing Webinar Series. That's for those people who would rather prefer an online seminar series.. Recognition of DigitalFilipino Web Awards winners shall also be done at this event.

This event is free for all club members. But by October 1 , the annual fees shall be increased to include the summit as a club member benefit. And because this event is free, sponsors helped make that possible.. One of the sponsors is DataOne. This company has a solution called VoiceOne that allows e-commerce site owners to accept phone (web) calls directly from their website. Now, if you wanna be part of this event, Be a sponsor of the DigitalFilipino E-Commerce Summit. But of course, you can also BE A MEMBER..

NAME GAME

mommy moments

Lili's real name is ZARELLE GLEN DOROTHY, I posted about her name previously but since I am joining this meme at Mommy Moments, I am posting it here again..

So how did we arrive at that name? Her first name, ZARELLE, is actually a combination from the end syllable of her dad's name and the first from mine.. GLEN is borrowed and improvised from my best friend's name, the late Glenn Borra, who by the way is responsible for indirectly bridging me and Lili's dad... Lastly, DOROTHY was from the Story in Chicken Soup for A Mother's Soul, "Joy to the World".. It was from there that I learned the meaning of the name Dorothy, which is, "God's Gift"... I checked that online and I found it to be true.. Indeed, Lili is a blessing. Truly a gift from God...

WHAT'S YOUR WISH FOR CHRISTMAS?

Christmas is just around the corner.. Would you like to get a Personalized usb drive this Christmas? Well, I just happen to browse through FlashDealer.com and I saw the personalized flash drives that they offer. They come in any color and any material that you can think of or imagine them to be. That means, you can have them in whatever form and shape and size and material...Say for example, if you are working in the fashion industry, you can have a glamorous appeal in them too. If you are the earthly, musky or woody type of person, you can have a personalized flash drive encapsulated in wood... A custom flash drive encapsulated in leather with your company logo laser etched into the leather is good for those who are in the higher ranks in their company... The youthful persons would surely love the modern appeal of metal and aluminum, and the list could go on and on...

FlashDealer.com is the best company to get memorable flash drives that will show your gratitude to both, your consumers and affiliates or employees within your organization or office. It is a web retailer of personalized USB flash drives and they have been in the market place for many years serving businesses looking for unique ways to keep their brand name in front of customers. Personalized USB drives are the answer to effective marketing strategies and are very useful to businesses. By the way, I read that if you purchase a flash drive, you can have them pre-loaded with a company presentation, advertisements or other content. Portable personalized USB flash drives have also become a very effective office tool that is popular for transporting and transferring computer files. Not only that, you can save pictures and music in them too. The recent popularity of flash memory devices and competitive pricing has made these handy units very affordable to the public. I remember, my first flash drive really cost me a fortune...but now, I could buy 10 for that same price I bought my first USB...

FlashDealer.com offers more than just corporate and company logos printed on a personalized USB flash drive. Actually, what they are really offering is for customers to design their own flash drive.. they call it "complete outside of the box customizations"..It's like telling their customers, “You dream it we can build it” and actually, that is their motto. Anything anyone can imagine, no matter how weird or unusual, can be designed, built and shipped out to your business for marketing purposes. Like for example, the personalized jump drive the company designed for Kidde Aerospace and Defense. The product looks just like a real fire extinguisher, except that the top pulls off to reveal a USB flash drive...Isn't that amazing?

WOULD HAVE BEEN A LONG WEEKEND...

Today, August 28, 2009 is the City Fiesta of Cagayan de Oro in honor of our patron St. Augustine.. While most offices, banks and schools have no classes today, we at BSU will have our regular Friday routine.. So I will be there tonight, still from 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening--- I can't complain...It's a commitment... Anyway, after that I will still enjoy the weekend and a day to rest since August 31, 2009, Monday, is National Heroes’ Day - It was declared as a Regular (Non-Working) Day under Republic Act No. 9492 or "An Act Rationalizing the Celebration of National Holidays".

So still a BIG SMILE for that...

---------------------------------------------
UPDATE: When I reached the campus, the guard informed me that classes were called off starting last night at 6pm until today for the Fiesta Celebration-- So I guess it is a loooong weekend afterall..

Hello dear friends in blogoland.. I am so excited to share with you what I have learned online today. For those who are new at blogging and blog marketing, this is highly recommended. Well, I know most of you are familiar with SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION..and how it can help improve our lives in the blogosphere..Well, today, I learned about the seo software that can help us improve traffic, PR, SERPS and all others that SEO can do to our blogs.. Oh boy! I am glad I stumbled upon the site www.oadone.com, which talked about it, thus the info..

As a SAHM, there is really a great need for me to learn these things as blogging has become not only a hobby of sorts, but a source of stable and reliable income. Well, like any other career, we really need to update, upgrade and develop new ways or forms of achieving our primary goal.. Ah, the sensible world of blogging for money is not at all different from any other job in the world--- It’s good clean money after all.. It also entails labor and intensive research…It is a fun way of getting your needs met. So like my other job, I make it a point to improve. And like what I said above, this SEO software is a very good tool to achieve that.

Karaoke Nights: Kumusta Ka?

I listen to this song with a heavy heart--- In a few weeks time, Lili and I shall be burying some stuff, real stuff that needs to be buried.. You'll know about it because I shall blog about it-- It will be an unexpected grand finale of sorts that will be necessary for us to cross the bridge for a better tomorrow.. I have commissioned some people to make the carvings for the epitaph already..Darn, it really is expensive to bury the dead these days, lol.. It shall be a formal and sincere and meaningful ceremony..watch for it..
