ADDICTED TO ONLINE GAMES...

After a few hours blogging, I am once again enthralled to play online games. Whew.. I just can't sleep... I have once again asked google's help and as I browsed through I was lead to a site that allowed me to play Littlewoods Bingo. Oh, another Bingo game eh? Well, I love it. Hmmm....

One time, I went to DXCC to have my wallet reported missing and to ask the radio announcer to announce to the public that I am giving a reward to whoever will return my wallet with all my IDs inside it. Then this woman came with her son, who was said to have been bitten by a puppy in their neighborhood. Much to my disbelief, she did not decide to bring the child to the hospital until matters has come to worst...The child was already having fever for a week already, with no sign of the fever ever going down...

I asked her why she had not decided sooner and she told me that she was hoping garlic and the saliva of the quack doctor will cure her son's ailments. Hmmm...

I am not against faith healing, nor am I against herbal cure. But with matters of urgency, like a two month old bitten by a puppy, that is such a lame act. Relying on the quack doctors never solves anything. I feel for the child. But I can not blame the mother for doing what she believes was right at that time. They are originally from Talakag, far from the municipality. The next neighbor is 2-3 miles away. What do you expect??

Since it was already late, she was told by the DXCC staff that she has to be brought to DSWD for assistance, for her to be able to stay there for the night and that they will have to go to the doctor in the morning... That was their conversation when I left. I gave the woman a hundred peso bill.... There was nothing I could do, as she has already signed up to ask assistance from DXCC... The staff assured me that the woman will be helped. But of course, certain procedures needed to be followed.. I trust them...

BUSINESS BLOGS ANYONE?

Business blogs are created by persons who have a business to promote, be it a small business or a large scale business. In the case of Honeysweet, I have created a blog which I prefer to be a general blog but is mostly related to our activities in the center. We may have small business products to market, but I find that word of mouth is the best to promote them. Products like school supplies and all the other services we offer, apart from tutorials, are best promoted by word of mouth. Besides that, our community lives in clumped housing divided by a fence only. Over the fence, you can even talk to the neighbors directly...lol... See, not all people of Balulang dwell much on the Internet, much more so, read a blog or two. Although, I also know that there is quite a number of bloggers from Balulang already, still, I do not really rely on the blog to do the promotions. I guess Balulang is not that high tech yet. But for most parts of the world, a business blog is much more appreciated, especially if the houses in a specific community are far from each other. Not to mention, each household already communicates mostly online. Get my point? hehehe...

Enough said about Honeysweet. Let's talk about business blogs in general. So far, if we talk about countries like the United States or the UK, then a business blog will really be raved about. Businessmen will have a business blog and follow a Day trading robot review for updates and such. Surely, it will be a competitive venture in the marketing arena, no matter how big or small the business is...

WORD WORLD

My daughter loves Word World. She likes watching it and never misses a show everyday on Playhouse Disney on Parasat's Channel 53. What I like about the show that she is watching is that it helps develop her fondness for words.By that she can easily understand what the words mean and how to spell them correctly too.


I am glad there are unique shows like that.

PLAYED ONLINE BINGO, MONOPOLY & DEAL OR NO DEAL...

Guess what? I am bored today. Just finished watching television and I am still bored. Lili and I went for a McDonalds meal and came home after. With nothing to do, I planned on doing the reformat of our server here at Honeysweet. But I am too tired to do s. So I decided to play games online. Hehehe... I missed doing that. It's been ages... I love Oprah Winfrey... She is by far the best celebrity I have admired the most. There are many others out there, but for me she stands out from the rest. I feel that every time she is able to help a person, a family, an organization or an animal, she really has her heart in it. That is what I like the most. We all know that Oprah is one of the many influential persons in the world. What Oprah says is like a prayer or a song. Followers will end up being influenced if not touched by this amazing woman. If there should be an award to be given, apart from all the awards this lady have already received, it should be the Best of the Best Awardsm as seen on direct satellite tv. Oprah has changed many lives. She has become an instrument for peace, unity and love---uplifting the lives of the ones she has helped and even us, who are only witnesses to this miracle are touched by her example, in one way or another. Wouldn't you agree?

She can also be a recipient for BoB Awards, also seen through direct satellite tv. Another special award giving body that gives honor to people like Oprah. One of the persons Oprah has helped that I am truly grateful for, was the help she has extended for Charisse Pempengco, The Philippine's Child Wonder... The Nightingale that has touched lives also with her powerful voice. It was Oporah who gave Chariosse the break othaot the child needed fr her career. Oprahbelieved in her so much that she invested in her talent. And teh rest is history for Charisse. Truly, Oprah is a very good example for all celebrities out there. She has used the "power" she is gifted with in the most positive way. And with that I salute her...

Hmm... If i am to role play, I would say to you guys, "Please nominate me in the Best of the Best Awards..." But of course, with Oprah, she does not have to say that. I am pretty sure, you guys will nominate and vote for her to have such an award... Am I right?

TOYS, TOYS & MORE TOYS

River's birthday is fast approaching. I think it's already the best time for me to buy him a new toy for his birthday present... One that he specifically likes... I can't imagine a birthday party without gifts. Well, technically, attending a kid's birthday party often alludes that the visitor brings with him or her a gift that the kid may appreciate. And if you ask me what that is, TOYS....

Several birthdays ago, River would always prefer the toys that he received rather than the other stuff inside the other gifts.. No matter how expensive a shirt is, or no matter how nice the design, every kid would really opt for the toys. Try bringing the kid to a department store and try experimenting. Remove your hand form his, and where will he go? The toys section, as if to find solace and security there... Isn't that obvious? Hehehe...We were kids once... a long time ago that is. And I know some may not have had the luxury of playing with toys, but for those who did, I am pretty sure you will understand that the toy for a kid means more than anything else in his possession.

I remember before, my then single, Uncle Willy bought me Jojo, a life sized doll. Jojo was always kept inside the cabinet for fear that she might not survive my childhood... lol.. But hey, I was always careful with my possessions. Jojo survived my childhood alright, but Playboy was the one who was really able to play with her the most. Hmm, my brother is not gay or anything but he preferred playing with my dolls instead of his electronic cars, trains and planes. By the time Honey and Sweet were busy playing with Barbie, my brother was already busy with his action figures- HeMan, Superman and I forgot the other one, so my sisters had their dolls to themselves already. lol... But you know, I was already in High school at that time yet I still found fascination over the dolls and I most of the time help my sisters in making beds and dresses for their dolls... Funny, but true.. But of course, in High school, we played a different game, my Friends and I. We shifted from dolls to Frisbees, jumping rope, jacks and the Rubik cube... whew... that was fun also.. Now these games and toys, my Lili has them all at a tender age. Why so early? Geez.. I do not know... some of them came as gifts. Others, I bought because my Lili asked for them at some point.. and some are games prices during children's parties... They come cheaper by the dozen you see, so they are preferred over other toys. Hmmm, but then maybe if the host is really super rich, he or she would have gadgets and electronic toys as prices... hmmm... is that possible? Hehehe.. I guess so...

As for me, I am still wondering what gift to get my baby brother. He has all kinds of toys you see. Maybe I'll just get him another robot or another action figure... Power ranger perhaps.. Hmmm.. May 2 is quite near... but I still have the time.. well, we'll see....

The dooorbell rung continuously at 3am, without anyone in sight. Ghosts? Not really... I was told that teh connection was grounded. That I need to consult with an electrician to do rewiring of the orange house... Whew... Another expenses coming ayt??? Well, there's really nothing much about CDO electricians because of of them here operate by worth of mouth advertising. How I wish I could simply find one online... sob...sob...sniff...

Anyway, hours ago, Richard, a neighbor came by and visited us here. HE also looked into the wiring. He is not an electrician but he knows a little about it. He did something too and did not ask for a fee.. Oh boy... The doorbell is now silent unless you press it at the gate...

COINS COLLECTION

My friend Larry's dad is a coin collector. He has lots and lots of different kinds of coins, different minerals, different currencies, different sizes and different eras, different designs. He even has a very old coin dating back from the 18th century. Oh my goodness. That is quite a treasure there. But the family is not interested in its monetary value. They have the coins collection framed and it hangs on their wall at home. A lot of people like Larry's dad would opt to buy gold coins and any other kinds of coins to add to their collection.

Collecting gold coins is rather a very expensive hobby. But for those who can afford, it is even worth more than the gold itself. Some buy gold bullion and keep them safe in a vault. While others buy gold ira and keep them in a safe place also.

Anyway, I came across a site online that sells gold coins and to my amazement, they are really rather expensive. Imagine, with just one coin, if you have it exchanged for monetary value, it can already be used to buy a car here in the Philippines... whew... How I wish I could also have a coin or two...

Auntie Irma's Birthday...

This is rather a late post. Auntie Irma celebrated her birthday last Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Middleton Apartelle.

It's just us, the Ergina-Aguilar Family who were there... Plus some other relatives who came to wish her well also. The kids enjoyed swimming, so did the "teen-agers" and the feeling "teens"...lol...

It was fun. We went home late...

While Te Irms and cousins Lara, Red and Bing, stayed on the rented apartment...

Well, I think we are going there again for River's birthday...

RANKING AGAIN...

With all the advices I received from co-teachers and some of the department heads at school, I had myself ranked again. I was not able to sleep well last night because Lili was in one of her "moods".. That which I call the "mommy mood"... hmmm, the time when she keeps saying mommy, mommy mommy in everything and will not do anything unless mommy is beside her... hmmm... She really knows how to get attention... Anyway, I had to talk to her sweetly and ask permission that she allow me to finish my task... And thank God, she did understand...  However, it was very late already... so all I did was rest and sleep also... 

I woke up at 4:30, to do what I have not finished, but the computer at home did not allow me to. So I set forth to bath and dress early to be able to do it someplace else.. It was already 7:58 when I reached the school and I got # 21. I think my interview went well. And guess what? I won't have to do my demo anymore... I found out that I ranked 1 during the last demo teaching... The perfect score was 20, I got 19. So that's why it will be credited to this year's ranking... Praise the Lord! He really knows my needs... And answers them outright...

Wish me luck guys... And please include me in your prayers... This is for my little princess' future... especially that the other party is not helping at all...

Part of what I want to change in my remodeling plan for the orange house are the stainless steel sinks in the kitchen. I think they deserve to have a fresh touch and a new look.. They are quite old, you see... And I find that the previous tenants have totally disregarded the beauty as well as the function of the sink. So with this in mind, I searched the net. I was able to browse a few sites online and found that there are many wonderful designs than the common kitchen sink that we have. Ohlala... Talk about a fashionable sink, lol...

One particular site I visited is www.sinksusa.com, where I saw how nice their stainless steel sinks look. Very nice, really nice. All their deasigns are fabulous. But of course, like what I said in my previous posts, I will have to consider the expenses for this ultimate makeover... Whew...

In the meantime, I shall continue to dream...

NEW LOOK FOR THE ORANGE HOUSE

I have posted lately that I wish to have the orange house remodeled. Well, it's really a very big task, considering that the budget now is tight. But of course, if I have to make it a better dwelling space, I need to make it more beautiful and more livable. Not that it isn't, it's just that it's quite old now with lots of things to be repaired. It really needs a total make over. So i searched some more and found a site for Seattle Remodeling. Well, it's not really located here in Cagayan de Oro, but I was able to gather more information from the site. More information means more things to consider.More things to consider means more options. More options means, I can still have more time to think while at the same time, saving up for the actual remodeling job. Hmmm... Can't beat that. I can save more that way... lol... Do you know how I can save? Well, that just means I can buy what's needed in bulk, but one kind at a time. When I am ready with all the materials, I think I will go for it.

I have visited a lot of sites online to view and review ideas on how to remodel the orange house. And I have really had so much conflicting ideas. Tsk..tsk..tsk... I think that's a sign... Anyway, I have searched on further and I have come across more sites. One site that I have visited talked about Austin Remodeling. Believe it or not, I think I found most of the needed information there.

Much to my amazement, even budgeting for the project was discussed there. That is truly good. The other sites seem to have overlooked that very important aspect of the plan. Decisions concerning remodeling dwell more on the financial aspect. It is not a good idea to plunge into the project without even knowing the costs.
