KIDS AT PLAY: MOMS AT WORK...

Yesterday Lalaine of Lalaine's World came by Honeysweet to finish an opp. She stayed for two hours. Of course, her eldest was with her. And while mom was busy doing opps here and there, Trisha was busy with her toy, her food and all other stuff she brought along.

My Lili arrived and said she wanted to play. So she and Trisha played. At first they colored Lili's coloring books, then they did water colors. Next they played with the toys at Honeysweet. And so on and so forth. They really had a great time. My Lili wanted to play some more, but of course, her playmate had to go home for lunch. So they parted with a hug and a kiss.

Funny, because while the kids were enjoying their time together, both Lalaine and I were busy with blogging...hahaha...

MY FEET HURTS

My feet hurts. The joint in the ankle region hurts. When I told my father about it he said I should really lose weight. My father said he also felt the same pains in the same region before he started his diet and exercise. He added that that is also the reason why he has been telling me to lose the pounds and live a healthy disciplined lifestyle.

Our feet carries our weight and when it can no longer afford the load, it complains by knocking on us, telling us that weight is too much for them to carry. So having no mouth to complain with, the ankle region does the talking for our feet, lol...seriously, that is definitely what going on. Our body is also capable of complaining you know... So anyway, I went online, as usual to research on the most effective way to lose the pounds, the healthy way...and I came across a site I have previously visited, http://chitogenics.net, which offered much information. They have a wide array of products that could really help lose the weight, a variety of weight loss supplement s from appetite suppressant to fat burners to colon cleansers. What's good about this is that the foremost ingredient in ChitoGenics is "Chitosan". It is derived from shellfish---food from the sea makes it even more healthy, right? Chitosan is a substance that absorbs oil and fat before they can even be absorbed by the digestive tract to be converted into fat.

Here are a list of some of their products and their functions:
Nopal cactus helps in absorbing fat. While Hoodia is used as a formula to suppress appetite with green tea to boost the metabolism.

Chitogenics will definitely help us lose weight effectively. Of course, if combined with a balanced diet and moderate exercise, everything will work perfectly.

Come to think of it, Chitogenics been around for 10 years already and has had numerous clients who can attest to their safe and tried and tested effects. Ask Tom Martino, the nation's leading consumer advocate....because he is endorsing the weight loss program and products of Chitogenics.

I am already sold to this product, so world, await the new healthy me....haha...

Google Your Name And See Results...

How many of you have this secret hobby of googling your names? AHA! We are one and the same, hahhahahaha... When I get bored I usually google my name and check if there were mean things written about me, as if I am an actress of some sort, lol... and of course, I look forward to seeing my name in every written account of activities I have joined or causes I have helped organize. Anyway, here are a few results which I found just recently:

a.) ECPAT's Workshop and the Signing of the Code of Conduct for I-CAfe Owners and Operators, as written by Mr. Mark Francisco in paper, Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, July 30, 2008. I was not able to get a copy but of course since Sunstar has a website, here's the link.

b.) My social networks: Freindster, face book, Multiply and all those I have signed up on.

c.) My blogsites, lol...

d.) My comments on other people's blogs...

e.) My Dneero surveys...

But here's the interesting part. I found four of us in the world with exactly the same names. Three are in the United States and one is even a Vice President in a certain bank.. wow... The other one excels in her own field of research and child care, and another is very active in the Hispanic Community. I found one which is vague and may even be connected with the others here, see this link.

So, how about you? Would you like to know more about your name? Google your complete name now and find out...

BLOGGING YOU BACK...

Here are two sites I have found to have posted about me. ME.. ME.. ME... WOW... they posted about me! I just love it when I am loved, lol... seriously, These people are really making me feel special.. First, we have JAY, of Jay's Corner, who blogged about me on this link, another is by J. Scott of Champagne Dreams, with the post on this link. Although, quite understandably, J. Scott's visit to my site was during the time my template crashed. It was during this time that most of my readers complain of not being able to see my site, or wont load or wont open in their browsers. But I guess everything is okay now...Right guys?

Anyway, both have Js so I must also love all persons with a J for the first letter of his name, lol... Kidding aside, Jay's Corner is a very simple blog site with a very simple layout. But I guess it is not as simple as the content if you care enough to read Jay's thoughts...I guess Jay needs to improve in that arena though, because sometimes it's in the lay out too...And of course the other J, J. Scott's page is nice. I love the layout.

I do not personally know both bloggers, but I am adding them to my blogroll. I am blessed to have come by their site, because I learned a thing or two form each of their sites...

To both Js, I salute you and happy blogging...

Find Your Love Match...

In time for Christmas, would it be nice to have someone to share Christmas with? hahaha.. don't ask me, I am asking you. Well, Lili's dad and I are working our differences these days. What with the court in between, hahaha.. But seriously now, if you are looking to find available singles who will meet your qualifications for simply a dream date or for a lifetime commitment, why not take your chances at a social network. Free Local Singles who may be able to face up to your preferences, lol... I might as well try it, who knows? Maybe Lili's dad and I do not really have a future together, hmmmm... Only God knows.

Well anyway, it was actually Maureen, who introduced me to this site which I am blogging about now. There are thousands of members and who knows one of them is your destined match, hahahhaa... what about mine? Geez, I am not into this, really, but because the members are extra nice, I have met some who I have become not only acquainted with but have become friends as well, and that in just 72 hours. You can send messages and exchange flirts, which is fun, but most importantly, exchange thoughts. Well, I could only speak for my experience you just have to try it for yourself. So what are you waiting for, visit the site today.

Tatay and Lili...

I am so blessed to have a father who loves not only me but my daughter as well...
I just thought I'd post this pic. This was taken December when we went to Bayabas.... Anyway, this photo reminds me of how my father and I have bonded when I was Lili's age... he really went all the way for me, and now for my daughter...

I love you Tatay... God has really blessed me and Lili with the best father and grandfather ever...

Safe Food and Drinks for Diabetics

Most of my relatives who died of diabetes were fund of eating sweets and drinking Coke and other sodas. When Virgin Cola came out of the market, we eventually changed brands mainly because of the price difference, and it was really thirst quenching when very very cold. However, it was criticized to have more sugar than all other sodas. So every time we have a party at home, we have already been cautious so as not to buy Virgin anymore. Of course, Coke has always been the family favorite ever since so we switched back to Coke instead, but now that my parents have medications and all to maintain, we take it in moderation. My father have even resorted to Del Monte Fit n Right, thereby telling me also to trim down and drink it too. On ordinary days, we have Tibicos Mushroom juice in the refrigerator that is thirst quenching also. Although it has this really funny smell and after taste. But once you get the hang of it, you get hooked. And during parties, we have Red Wine instead of beer for the drinking session. Well, according to my father, every thing's all for its health benefits.

Every now and then, we talk about food and health and drinks and health, and so on and so forth. My father can not help but enumerate all the things our relatives failed to do in keeping a safe and healthy body and lifestyle. And since we have the complete set of gym equipments at home, my father would always tell me to put them to use aside from all the food and drinks that he mentions every so often. Having all these in mind, I cannot help but worry sometimes and tell myself to be motivated to go the way my father is going--- a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and exercise. So one day, out of curiosity if there is ever a drink or food that could somehow help, my mouse clicking fingers led me to a site www.emeraldforestxylitol.com.

There I found out that there are food and drinks with Xylitol, which is a naturally occurring sweetener taken from plant sources that has many benefits. Xylitol is not sugar, but it's a sugar alcohol. There are also other sugar alcohols which include erythritol, maltitol and sorbitol. However, it is different from the other sugars in such a way that it has five, carbon atoms and not six like the others. It is classified as a low calorie (2.4 calories per gram), low carbohydrate natural sweetener, it is considered beneficial for your teeth and completely safe for diabetics.

Wow! Safe-- I guess that's the word we should look for. But we should also know how it is safe. According to this site I found, it has no toxicity and has not been linked to any form of disease. Xylitol re-balances the body's pH by creating an alkaline environment that helps the body fight bacteria, viruses, and parasites that have a tendency to grow in an acidic environment. Because of its high fiber content, if we consume more than 12 grams in one meal, will help yield a laxative effect to varying degrees. Hmm... interesting, ayt? If my relatives are still alive, I could have shared this information with them too.

Oh well, there is more to know really. So maybe you should the site and see for yourself... Visit this site guys www.emeraldforestxylitol.com and tell me what you think too. Feel free to leave your comments. Thanks...

DELA HOYA VS. PACQUIAO LIVE HERE TODAY...

As I posted in my other blog, this morning I was awakened by our very noisy neighbor. They have just had their electricity reconnected after being cut off for non payment, and just the other day, they have availed of Parasat Cable TV's Christmas promo of NO DOWN PAYMENT or THE FREE CONNECTION CHRISTMAS PROMO, in preparation for Pacquiao's fight today, lol...it was already 8 in the morning and the eldest son was really busy calling all the neighbors as they have set their television outside the house for everyone to see the awaited bout between Pacquiao and Dela Hoya... Well, am not a boxing fanatic so I don't really see any excitement in this. But my father, who forgot to buy the card for the match (Prepaid now), was a little agitated as he will miss the match which is live. But then again, noisy neighbor invited my father so no worries for him now. I proceeded with my usual routine this morning and as usual opened Honeysweet like an ordinary day. I started my computer and started reading blogs, and there before my very eyes, almost all of my blogger friends have their noses on PACMAN and THE GOLDEN BOY...hmmm... The live stream below was even introduced by Pinay Mommy Online, and so I grabbed it earlier and posted in four of my blogs, here, Honeysweet Learning Center, VDAY Cagayan de Oro and Vsk8shop... whew...

Watch live video from SECOND CHANNEL on Justin.tv

And the result of the fight?

From the 1st Round up until the 8Th Round, PACMAN ruled and he, the Philippines' Pride had his glorious victory again. Pacquiao wins with an eighth round technical knockout.

So for those who made bets and won, congratulations. As for Pacquiao and Dela Hoya, before the end of the said fight, whoever will not make it will still come out with lots of money, so I guess the fight is not really that bad. Both the winner and the loser will get the share from Pay Per View, aside from all the other fees and shares from sponsors...

No wonder many Filipino children want to become a boxer... what with all the money involved in it? No wonder the government will not support Educational Endeavors such as the ones Dr. Biyo was involved in or the MTG's Math Competitions outside the Philippines... No wonder a lot of Filipinos fail in education...because they have imagined a life in the boxing arena, and become like PACMAN, instead of succeeding in Education...getting a good paying job to support the family and its needs...making good decisions on what to get for a meager amount of money, so on and so forth...

My neighbor, after all these is over, will have their electricity cut off again, and of course the cable connection reversed...well, the sight early this morning is not new to me, we have been neighbors since 1993...

It's none of my business really. But if you see how the world is turning, whether you like it or not, and whether you see it or not, in one way or another, each of us Filipinos are affected...

I have always admired a Filipino who brings fame and glory to the country, no offense to Pacquiao, but I wish people would be as excited as supporting other endeavors and not only in the field of boxing...

SOKA GAKAI INTERNATIONAL PRAYER FOR WORLD PEACE:

CHANT 3 X...

"NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO,

NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO,

NAM MYOHO RENGE KYO"

FRIENDS IN WICCA WOULD CHANT THIS PRAYER

The Wiccan Rede
(Full Version)

Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
Live you must and let to live, fairly take and fairly give.

For tread the Circle thrice about to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be said in rhyme.

Light of eye and soft of touch, speak you little, listen much.
Honor the Old Ones in deed and name,
let love and light be our guides again.

Deosil go by the waxing moon, chanting out the joyful tune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
and the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak then your heart's desire seek.

Heed the North winds mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the Wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss you on the mouth.
When the wind whispers from the West, all hearts will find peace and rest.

Nine woods in the Cauldron go, burn them fast and burn them slow.
Birch in the fire goes to represent what the Lady knows.

Oak in the forest towers with might, in the fire it brings the God's
insight. Rowan is a tree of power causing life and magick to flower.

Willows at the waterside stand ready to help us to the Summerland.
Hawthorn is burned to purify and to draw faerie to your eye.

Hazel-the tree of wisdom and learning adds its strength to the bright fire burning.
White are the flowers of Apple tree that brings us fruits of fertility.

Grapes grow upon the vine giving us both joy and wine.
Fir does mark the evergreen to represent immortality seen.

Elder is the Lady's tree burn it not or cursed you'll be.
Four times the Major Sabbats mark in the light and in the dark.

As the old year starts to wane the new begins, it's now Samhain.
When the time for Imbolc shows watch for flowers through the snows.

When the wheel begins to turn soon the Beltane fires will burn.
As the wheel turns to Lamas night power is brought to magick rite.

Four times the Minor Sabbats fall use the Sun to mark them all.
When the wheel has turned to Yule light the log the Horned One rules.

In the spring, when night equals day time for Ostara to come our way.
When the Sun has reached it's height time for Oak and Holly to fight.

Harvesting comes to one and all when the Autumn Equinox does fall.
Heed the flower, bush, and tree by the Lady blessed you'll be.

Where the rippling waters go cast a stone, the truth you'll know.
When you have and hold a need, harken not to others greed.

With a fool no season spend or be counted as his friend.
Merry Meet and Merry Part bright the cheeks and warm the heart.

Mind the Three-fold Laws you should three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow wear the star upon your brow.

Be true in love this you must do unless your love is false to you.

These Eight words the Rede fulfill:

"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Sit on Santa's Lap and Make a Wish...

Christmas is in the air. Yesterday, I just received two gifts from my wish list and mind you, they really did come true. I simply announced to everyone in my friends circle what I really wanted to get and when to get them, taking into hint that Christmas is fast approaching, lol...Well, if you got a wish all you have to do is say it, right?

Which reminds me, when we were younger, we always go to the mall and visit the Santa Claus on duty, lol... well, there is always one Santa Claus on duty in the malls when the Christmas air fills the malls... that's how we come to strongly believe in the big guy, right? I mean, personally, my parents have always been instrumental in my belief in Santa...and on being good, hahaha... but seriously, I think that is not a bad thing as it has contributed to the "goodness" factor in kids. So, as children would verily wish for Santa to know or hear his or her wishes whispered on Santa's ears while sitting on his lap, would line up no matter how long or how far the line has already reached...if only to let Santa know what he or she is aching for... sounds familiar doesn't it? Well, I used to clamor for Santa's attention when I was little, and now is my little girl's turn as she is already excited to go to the mall for this one time experience for this year...hahaha, and mommy already knows what she wants because she already told me what she will tell Santa...

Well, this belief in Santa will be much appreciated when these children now would grow up and realize who Santa is, just like me. But like what I mentioned in my previous blog, I would very much like to keep the tradition going, so my little girl will have her share of the Santa experience...so Zarelle will also sit on Santa's lap, whisper her wishes, and find them under the Christmas tree come December 24, during the Noche Buena...never mind if teh gift is kinda expensive, as long as she keeps being good because good deeds are always rewarded... I guess that's just what my parents wanted to point out while taking part in my Santa experience...

Anyway, for us adults, if we wish to rekindle our Santa experience, we can actually do that without sitting on Santa's lap at the mall, hahaha, am sure you guys will feel silly if you do that ... at our age? Wahahahahhaha... but hey, there is a way that is not much of an embarrassment  if that's what you are afraid of, embarrassing yourself by acting like a child again...See, there is this site I visited and all I did, instead of sitting on santa's lap, was upload my photo, and santa receives it through his CEIVA Digital Photo Frame, which sports an 8 inch high definition display and can receive pictures from a cellphone or from a computer via WiFi connection. Now, while you are uploading your picture, your wish will even be listed on Santa's book! Amazing huh? I really had fun doing it. When my daughter Zarelle saw the video, and my picture in it, she was actually asking why I uploaded my photo and I explained to her that Santa, just like mommy, is sometimes busy and may be far away, sometimes he is not in the mall to talk to, so we just have to talk with him online and upload pictures for him to see. My little girl, being smart, got the connection and even told me that it is just like how mommy and Ninang Debbie communicates, since the day she went out of the country. Woohoo, what a smart kid God has blessed me with... She even added, "Mommy, am sure Santa like the picture you sent, coz you are pretty in it." Hahahhaa, she is definitely my daughter...

By the way, if you visit the site now, and upload your pic and tell santa about your wish, you may have a chance to win in a contest, where 1 random entry will be selected for each day of the contest, and the cash prize of $500 will be awarded per winner.

A Day at the Beach...

This is actually a late post. Last Monday, December 1, 2008, PGMA declared the day a holiday in lieu of the November 30, 2008 holiday which had to fall on a Sunday.. And what better way to celebrate a holiday than to spend it with the family on the beach... however, when we reached Opol, all the cottages were taken and the beach resort full of people., and it was still 6 am when we arrived there. Armed with all our food and stuff and all beach preparations, we decided to move elsewhere and turned the other way. Off we went to Bayabas to visit a family friend who lives there instead. Their house is just a few meters away from the beach...a public beach. The last time we visited them, the waters were clean and the beach is just near.."high tide"... When we got there, the beach is so far away..."low tide"... there were not much a number of people there, except for the fisher folks and the locales of the area who were there to stroll or to pick up seashells, mollusks or sea weeds...there were also fishermen with nets and local folks bathing using shampoo and soap, lol...

Since it was low tide, the shore is completely in disarray and all the things underneath could be seen... also, since it was not a white beach, the beach was a bit muddy but only on some parts. There were portions that are clean and suitable for bathing. So when my family found the spot to bath, immediately they went to the water. Zarelle did not like the beach at first, so what we did was stroll around and found a cage with two eagles, three piglets and two ducks, beside it, another pen with three peacocks. Beside that pen are two separate stables which were empty as the horses were grazing out the fields... So to appease my daughter, we took pictures of the things we saw around us, and she told me "Mommy, blog nimu ni no? Upload dayun sa friendster ha?"(in English: Mommy you will blog about them? Also, upload them in friendster ok?)...and that's just what we did... a little pose here and there and everywhere... she had fun... afterward, we went back to the spot my family are swimming in, and my father took her and she at first was reluctant to go, but a little later, enjoyed herself too. I was left by the shore as I continued to take pictures for my blog...lol...they went out of the water and we had breakfast...after that, they went for another swim and we went home before 10:30 am...Zarelle slept when she reached home...it was fun...see the slideshow below...

Santa's Gifts...

When I was ten years old, my father and mother surprised us, my siblings and me, with "Santa's Gifts"... well, my parents had always used Santa as part of the discipline they instilled in us. If we do good for the entire year, we will get rewards from them and from Santa. So that was the story behind the doubled gifts from Santa twenty two years ago. lol... Actually, I know the story now. My parents has always told us to sleep between 8:30 pm and 11:30 pm, before the clock strikes midnight, signaling that we should wake up and celebrate Christmas eve with the family in the usual Noche Buena... when we looked inside our socks, there were the usual candies and money and gifts and a note telling us to look under the tree for "Santa's Gifts"... and of course, they were there, the gifts we wanted for Christmas...however, that Christmas eve, our father was not with us because he was on duty. Being a military man, he had to be on post when he was scheduled to be on post... no exceptions, even Christmas eve. But of course, the assurance was that, he will be with us in the morning...so there we were, the five of us, my siblings, my mother and I... of course, my mother gave us their gifts and for that Christmas eve only, we had to postpone our usual exchange of gifts until Christmas day, when father will be with us already.... Here's where the story got bundled up...When my father arrived, he brought with him gifts, the same kind, although of a different color and size, for each of us, saying tha Santa left them by the gate, ahahahhaha, and he found them there while he was letting himself in... And of course, innocent as we were, believing that Santa really existed, jumped for joy in disbelief...Then my mother told us that perhaps Santa found us to be extra nice that entire year that's why he doubled his gifts... Being the eldest, I already had a hunch of what went on that time... and my guess was correct... My father did not know that my mother already bought the gifts for us, ahahhaha... And now that I am a mother, I know that Santa is just a figment of our storybook childhood fantasies... However, I still would like my daughter to believe in the same things up until she is old enough to understand what's real or not... Anyway, fiction or not, I know that the thought of having a Santa Claus will not be possible if it did not really exist in the olden times...just like the existence of Buddha or Jesus Christ or Mohamed... Someone good and caring existed before and it was really wonderful for most parents to have kept the idea alive, if only something good will come out of it... I should know, my parents did not raise criminals and problems in the society, but peace loving citizens who care enough for humanity and the world in general. So anyway, why am I blogging about Santa and his gifts? Like what I said, now that I am a mother, I still would like the same tradition to go on... Fortunately, here's what I have discovered to day while I was surfing the net..."Got a Wish Sweepstakes"..what is that all about? Well, with or without Santa, we can still continue to give gifts to others or like me, I would still like my daughter and the other kids in my family receive gifts from Santa (this time I will prepare the gifts for them... the same way my parents did for me and my siblings...lol). And we, adults, can join a contest where we can have our wishes come true. That's what the sweepstakes is all about. They are ready to give away 29 prizes each day to lucky winners, and each of the prizes are worth US$500 dollars. They will be awarded through check to the winners chosen via a random draw. This contest is open to all US residents and is sponsored by CEIVA Digital Photo Frames. To join, contestant must be at least over 18 years old. The said contest runs until December 24, 2008.

So anyway, while I was at the site, I had a chance to rekindle my happy thoughts about Santa and his gifts. I had fun interacting with Santa and his little helper. I even uploaded my picture to try it for myself, and wow! I still look adorable as a ten year old, lol... What 's even more exciting and fun, was when he tried to put my picture on his CEIVA Digital Photo Frame, which sports an 8 inch high definition display and can receive pictures from a cellphone and via WiFi connection. Here's more, I realized that my wish was even listed on Santa's book! When Zarelle saw what I was doing, I explained to her that Santa was asking me if she was ever good or bad, and what she wanted for Christmas...Of course, my daughter replied that she was a good girl and that she wants the Mariposa Barbie, lol... now I know what to get her... Why don't you visit their site and try it for yourself? I promise, it will be worth your trip!

Mortgage and More...

Mortgage and More Blog is a very interesting site. Generally, it tackles issues on mortage and other business related deals. From the defined issues of mortgage to the extraordinary niceties and necessities, name it, it's there...

From gift cards to phone cards, housing and house plants and housewarming deals. Everything seems to be quite organized there. I simply love the color yellow. It brings life to the blog...

The topics and issues are well thought of and the trivias are amazing... I simply love the entire blog... Thanks much and continue sharing...Congratulations...

“My first Sony experience is with my Sony Trinitron"

I was twenty one when I graduated from college. By May 1997, I started working at the National Food Authority in Cebu. My first job was not glamorous nor did it allow me to have a good take home pay as I was simply a trainee for the Clerk III position. The contract I signed was under the job order contract and of course, that explains everything. While in Cebu, I lived with my Aunt Carrie and every afternoon we would spend time watching television for our favorite soaps and game shows. Then one day, I had a different assignment which led me to decide, in order to save time and energy, to move out of her place and find my own place to stay which is near the office in Banilad. Since my aunt's place is in Labangon, it was really tasking and I always ended up late in the office. When I moved, my aunt told me that she will be buying a new television set and that, she was selling her old one. Right at that moment, I told her I would buy it from her. Knowing that my aunt takes care of her things well, I was assured that it was a good buy for a very small amount. It was almost like she gave it to me. So there it was, my very first SONY Trinitron. The first ever appliance that I was able to buy with my hard earned money. It was not brand new but the thought of it makes me happy till today.

With it I have attached a great deal of history and lots of memories. My first boyfriend and I had our first kiss in front of that television, while watching a horror flick, lol... And of course, when we broke up, my Sony Trinitron was my sole companion and confidante. I thought my life was over, but my sole companion kept me sane and solid, until the day I recuperated from the said heart break. When I decided to come home to Cagayan de Oro, my Sony Trinitron came with me and stayed in my room. Work allowed me to go places and since I cannot and did not want to take her with me for practical reasons, I ended up buying a new set and selling it before deciding to come home again. So far, she is the only one I have not parted with, eleven years and counting...Up until today, she sits while I pour out my creative juices and sentiments into my blogs. She is still working well, so might as well keep her in the best shape. Lili, my three year old daughter, loves her too, as she watches her favorite shows on my Sony Trinitron...It definitely gave significance in my life just like the Sony’s World’s First Noise Canceling Notebook Computer: VAIO T Series, which helps me do my blogging, PTCs, surveys and all other online work, even in the busiest, noisiest public place.

BBW Personal Diary

I came upon a blog, BBW personal diary. It's an online diary of sorts and in it I find many interesting things that go on in the blogger's EXTRA ORDINARY life... I think the blog is a good avenue for her to vent out her emotions, all the experiences and her outlook in life. I guess, if you try to read her posts, you will get a clearer picture of who she really is... She talkes about the good and the not so good, about weight problems and what people think about it. She gives outrageous commentaries to life basing on how she perceives everyday happenings. I find the blog funny and liberating... You GO Girl! Congratulations for such wonderful blog...and thank you for sharing it to the world...

Give an iPod for Christmas...

As we count the days towards the holidays, we can't help but further think of the necessary and the unnecessary expenses. Of course, gifts are out of the question during the holidays. It has become a necessary unnecessary necessity... hmmm... is that logical or what? Well, it depends on who you are buying the gifts for, who you are giving them to, and for what purpose.

In the Filipino tradition, gift giving is a symbol not only of love and respect for the receiver, but also a statement of one's personality. Take for example my friend Lily, whose fondness for her secretary is personified when she bought her an iPod nano. The secretary, being elated by such wonderful present from her employer, bought Lily a replacement of her lost iPod Touch...lol, kinda like an exchange of iPods there, don't you think? hehehehe...well, why not? The iPod is one of the world's most popular music and video players, and iPods now offer great features and storage memory. That's the reason why more and more people would like to get one for themselves or writing them down in their wish list for Christmas... hmmm, I guess that includes me...lol...

In the spirit of gift giving, gift ideas often are the expressions of one's creativity, budget and fondness for the recipient. Now, if in case you are also looking for iPods to give as gifts for this holiday season, why not visit this website I discovered, http://www.savebuckets.com. So far, it can be likened to a "price comparison site", in the sense that all possible prices and brand names of iPods can be found. One can readily market his or her choice and match it according to style and budget. So what are you waiting for? Visit their site now. To do that, click here.

THUNDER....

Today, as I was leaving the school, I felt my heart pounding. I did not want to leave....I told my kids I needed to do some very important things. And they understood....(I THINK). I will surely miss all of them. The studious and the not so studious. The problematic and the happy kids alike. So I opted to take pictures and made memory with them through the souvenir pictures below:

My second year A all sang the song THUNDER...when I finally bid them goodbye, I felt tears falling...I walked faster but they followed me... my God, I thought it will be easy to let them go--- I will surely miss all of them... I already said that, didn't I? Yeah, I will... Gee Ann's loudness, and Doyog's need for TLC, lol... of course this is the class that i always scold, almost everyday that I am in school...I saw them differently today...They thanked me, as if I have given them something valuable to learn...did I? I hope I did...I hope I have given them enough...I hope they listened enough too... I saw them as I see my own Lili...the kids that touch your heart because when you look at them, they need you to give them direction and love...Just like what Kristine said, every kid has his or her own story, and whatever my kids' stories are, I was blessed to be with them even for just a short while...I pray that all of them will make it to where their spirits want to soar...My last words, as I remember correctly, "Guys, 10 years from now, I want to see you make it..." That's when I turned towards the door and tried walking faster than all of them. In my heart I whispered a prayer..."Lord, you know how much I wanted to stay for these kids, but this is just the end of my rope...I have given all I could,..please, please, give these kids the wisdom to walk on the right path...and continue to bless their parents and my colleagues, the persons who will guide them to that direction...I love these kids Lord, please bless them now as I leave them. Help them make every step a success...Amen."

~~~THUNDER~~~
Today is a winding road that's taking me
to places that I didn't want to go
Whoa (whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today in the blink of an eye
I'm holding on to something
and I do not know why I tried
I tried to read between the lines
I tried to look in your eyes
I want a simple explanation
For what I'm feeling inside
I gotta find a way out
Maybe there's a way out
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder
Today is a winding road
Tell me where to start
and tell me something I don't know
Whoa (whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today I'm on my own
I can't move a muscle
and I can't pick up the phone
I don't know
(I don't know, I don't know, I don't know)
And now I'm itching for the tall grass
And longing for the breeze
I need to step outside
Just to see if I can breathe
I gotta find a way out
Maybe theres a way out
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Yeah I'm walking on a tight rope
I'm wrapped up in vines
I think we'll make it out
But you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know
how much I feel your pain
Today is a winding road
that's taking me to places
that I didn't want to go
Whoa
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder, and I said
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Oh baby bring on the pain
And listen to the thunder
