MY EARLY MOTHER'S DAY PRESENT

Ed sent me something through a common friend who arrived yesterday here in Cagayan de Oro City. Guess what it is? Perfume. He did kept his promise. Well, technically that is. Hahaha.. I thought he was just kidding about it the last time we talked on the phone. But I guess he really is serious. Like his proposal and all others. He called me four days ago to tell me that he is sending me something for mother's day. Hmmm.. I love this gift. I will upload a picture of this later, as the virus is acting up again..

What's special about this scent is that it has been a long time since I wore this. And the last bottle I had was emptied three years ago. I love it so much but I could not afford it. It does not come cheap, and the imitation is not at all the same. Actually, that first bottle was given by my Aunt Letty and Uncle Willy. When their family came here for a short vacation from The UK. Aunt Letty love giving scents and perfumes as "pasalubong" (a gift to those who will be visited especially if the visitor is from another place) for the men and women in the family, and boys and girls too. From expensive perfumes to colognes. And mind you, all the scents and perfumes they gave out are the original ones. Expensive when bought here in the Philippines, but Aunt Letty said she had a good buy at the duty free. Oh well, she's an expert in terms of duty free stuff you know. hehe... Anyway, that is another story so maybe I will post about that after this post..

Ok, where were we? Ah, yeah, Ed's gift. I think painless labor has already taken it's toll on me.. I am so so forgetful already.. lol... So I called him this morning upon receiving my gift, and asked Ed why he gave me the said scent as a gift. And his answer was quite touching, I could cry.. but I didn't. He said I am special. And although things did not end like how he wanted it to end between the two of us, he says he is grateful for having me as a friend. Whew.. touching right? And here's the best line yet. He said that the gift is nothing compared to how much I have given him.. The gift of honest to goodness friendship that is, Oh lala.. I never thought someone could say that the way he did. Oh, and he is coming here for Lili's birthday in June with another gift. :)

Thank you Ed.. I really love my early mother's day present. And thanks for your gift of friendship also...
