BALULANG LANDSLIDE...

It seems that mother nature is quite tired already of people not hearing her cries...After the Cagayan de Oro River Flash Flood, now Balulang is into another calamity. The Balulang Landslide.

The rain kept pouring last night. When we closed shop at 9:45 yesterday night, we noticed a different chill in the air. When we arrived at the "orange house" (Lili's petname for the new place. hehehe..), Marivel told us to look up and watch the moving clouds as they pass so fast. There was the moon and the clear Cumulus clouds behind the swimming Nimbus clouds. I told her then that it will soon rain because the dark clouds look heavy and dark already. After we washed up and hit the sack, we heard tiny drops of water until it begun to rain like crazy. We woke up this morning with rain heavily pouring. We couldn't get out of the house mainly because the street was covered with water. We had to wait until a trisikad would come by. And so we readied every thing we had to bring. When at last a trisikad came, we closed the gates and proceeded to our house. We were so wet. Considering that it could have been just a few meters away. We could have walked if the rain stopped, but it didn't. We had lunch and after that we headed for Honeysweet, Marivel and I. Although it rained, it was rather a good day. I had a $10 opp sent through my email. I love it. A customer came in and everything was okay. Until---brownout!!! Oh my goodness! Not again. We opened the door, the customer left. We stayed outside and watched the people hurriedly walking towards the curve going to the church, beside Balulang National High School. "What is wrong? I think there is something wrong again", I told Marivel. So I got my camera and started taking pictures...later, I know everything will be pieced together...later...

Here are the pics I took. Click on them to see larger images.

People were all bringing their things and walking towards the church. I asked myself, "Could it be that there is something that happened earlier in the morning? What with the heavy rain? Hmmm...we just had the Flash Flood victims housed temporarily at the Balulang National High School. Now, people are going there again?"

Anyway, while taking pictures, I noticed a man on a truck, together with those being evacuated, waving at me and Marivel. We asked who that guy was, but we couldn't quite figure out. So i set the photo to max to make it clearer...It's our next door neighbor, Uncle Bobby. The owner of Nady's Tailoring. Anyway, we continued watching the crowd gather across the street as there are no jeepneys available. Then Uncle Bobby arrived and told us what happened. Minutes after, Sonia, our house help before, passed by so I called her and asked if her how her family is since it's near their place. She told me that her kids are already at Balulang National H. S....so my hunch was right. Something indeed happened...The landslide....

Anyway, I went with Sonia and Auntie Nady (wife of Uncle Bobby) to see Sonia's place after the landslide. There was just a drizzle, so the two ladies, Sonia and Auntie Nady and I went walking towards "Mangahan". There were no jeepneys, so walking is not an option..hehehehe....

We saw people still on their houses gathering their belongings for the evacuation. While others were already returning to get more. Here are some of the pictures of what I saw on the way to Sonia's area.

These are just minor damages... ...We have met people on their way to the evacuation site... ...Here is Sonia's son, the reason she is going back to her place... ...What a long walk that was, but we were not as close yet...On the way, people pointed to where the landslide hit...If you click and magnify this next picture, you will see a child in their house..., their house is said to have been covered with mud already... I wanted to take a closer look...then we met this couple here who lives atop the hill. They came down to get their belongings and stuff ready for the move. Auntie Nady and Sonia suggested we go up for a closer look...so we did...this scenario is what we saw... The owners this house will soon have to evacuate as the wall will soon give way for the waters, or the wall itself will collapse unto the house....See the plant that's uprooted? ...The guy here do not have the other pair of his slipper...he was in a hurry to go down as a house next to theirs have already been hit by a huge boulder, as big as a multicab---that's how he and his partner described it... We talked to this couple and they said they came from farther up...The woman told us that their house bumped a Gemilina Tree, so they were spared. But they have to go down because it is not livable anymore...

...Contrary to what is going on, I cannot help but appreciate the sight , These people live overlooking the Cagayan de Oro River and its former grandeur...before the flash flood, of course... This photo here is the stairway going up farther from where we were...I told Sonia and Auntie Nady that we should go down already...And here is what we saw...remember the woman in green shirt? They are actually loading their stuff on a trisicad--- trisicad driving is usually the work of most men in the area....So moving further, as we were nearing Sonia's, I took this picture of a house partially hit by the landslide, and was also partially hit by the previous flash flood......The houses across the street... There are still other houses found on top and further up other houses that have also been hit by the landslide...

Finally, we reached Sonia's place...

Notice the wall? The wall has collapsed earlier in the day...and here's what's left of it... Now,here's a crazy story within this story. Something you will dread or perhaps find awful. On this picture,

you will see a man selling pork---the people said he slaughtered a dying "Anay"...a sow in English...and since he had no refrigerator, he stored the meat inside the sack...Today he was trying to sell the smelly flesh, but no one dared buy. Instead, the people, specially the drunkards, wanted the old man to simply give them the meat...My goodness! The smell is not tolerable, it smelled like a spoiled meat that's rotten and have maggots on them...well, that's what I can picture out because of the smell... but the men said it is only because the meat had not aired out due to the fact that the old man placed them inside the sack...

Here are more of the pics, click them to enlarge...

These ladies are on their way to the evacuation site too..

This last picture is taken inside the jeepney, when we went back to our own worlds, Auntie Nady and I...

Food and Warm Clothing is still needed by the people who were evacuated at the Balulang National High School...thank God the Red Cross and all other government entities were already there since this morning...

The Epitome of Invincibility and Confidence...

I came by this site, at http://cheneetot.blogspot.com/ or The Epitome of Invincibility & Confidence... Haunted by own mistakes, or the epitome of invincibility and confidence and I was really amazed at how this teenager related with her gaming life. She has a PR3 blog, which goes to show that the blog may be good. I have yet to read the rest of her posts to find out. But I am pretty sure it is a good visit. Why don't you guys do the same...

Leaving...

Every time my daughter acts naughtily, I tell the nanny, my secretary, my sister, or whoever is with us at the time, to get my luggage as I am leaving. She would then stop acting silly and would straighten her act. She would then shift from being naughty, and kiss and hug me, and would tell me not to go. Hahaha...I always get her that way. So she behaves....

Speaking of luggage...I bought mine when I was still in Cebu, while working for Convergys. My sister Honey and I bought us a luggage each because at that time, Hong Kong Disneyland was going to open and our family was planning to go. Honey was always excited of buying a luggage mainly because she believes that having one will mean that your travel plans will push through. But of course, we were not able to push through because my brother Elden had a problem getting a passport due to documents inconsistencies---name, spelling, etc.... My father, who just received his retirement money at that time decided to postpone the trip, that instead of treating the family to HK Disneyland, since one will not be able to go with us, he will just give us tokens out of his retirement fund...hahaha...and of course, plans were made that shifted from travelling to opening a business or two... So they opened Honeysweet months after. Two contact centers later, I arrived here in CDO after working as a Communications Compliance Officer at Xlibris, and seeing that my daughter needed me more than anyone or anything, I resigned from Xlibris and took the responsibility for Honeysweet as my other sisters, to whom the name Honeysweet were taken from, were busy planning their lives and career paths. Sweet is now finishing her second course, Nursing, and Honey will be pursuing her first love, Theater, before her TTRP in Singapore will kick off. Only this time, she will be travelling again and settling, farther than before, as there are no schools for Theater Arts in Cebu. This time, she will be in Manila to study Theater, and at the same time, work in a contact center--- a career that she has proven herself to be good at also. Whew...Soon, after Sweet finishes and will take the board and pass and further move on to leave the Philippines for greener pastures, just like all the nurses in our family. Her choice of going to UK or the US to join my other cousins. Elden may leave too, as her fiance is also a Nurse. And I? Well, I promised myself and my daughter that when everything will fall at the right place, only then will I leave. But as promised, I shall be leaving with my darling daughter, as I will not be leaving her behind.

People always come and go, whether they are your direct family or your friends or acquaintances, the act of leaving is inevitable. So all I can say is that, people should be prepared. We should have a good luggage that's handy. Something that is lightweight perhaps, or big enough for everything we wish to put inside it. And if we are too busy to get one or look for one, it is just a click away. My friend Karen bought herself a luggage at www.shopwiki.com before leaving for New Delhi. Hers was a missionary work that entails a lot more than meeting people. Her luggage, according to her symbolizes her faith in God, as it is very small to fit everything else, but miraculously, it did. As for me, my luggage is symbolic in such a way that, its existence in my life changed my viewpoint on life and leaving. I guess that is the very reason why my luggage is already full and ready. Anytime I will need to go somewhere, I have inside it everything I would need. That's why my daughter is afraid because she knows that my luggage is ready to go. All I have to do is pick it up and load it in the car...then I am off...

Hair Is Vanishing

Our principal in High School was said to have had HIV...God bless her soul. HIV, not aids or anything. She has H-Hair I-is V-Vanishing...lol...that's right. She had very thin hair that the boys in our classroom would often make silly stories and jokes out of her thin hair. Although, we girls think it was something serious like she had finished chemotherapy or cobalt treatment, and the like. What with the thinning hair? What usually comes to your mind?

But of course, when she died, I couldn't help but ask if her thinning hair had something to do with her death. And one of our teachers said NO. Hmmm...then why was her hair slowly thinning like she was going bald or something. Maybe, if it was not something serious when we were in high school, then it would have been easier to cure. I am sure even at that time there was already a Hair Loss Treatment available.

In this age and time, it is no longer a problem as there are already many studies that tackle the causes and the treatments for hair loss. There are many reasons, there are many causes. And of course, there are different treatments. Hair Loss Treatment for Men varies, and is different from Hair Loss treatment for Women.

Hmmm...why am I blogging about Hair Loss? Am I conscious that I see falling hair more often now than before? Well, hair loss defies no exact age or season or reasons...hair will fall when it is meant to fall...at least that's how I try to convince myself. But of course, that remains to be a secret between me and the shower room...hehehe...

I love you??? Hahaha, this is funny...what do you think?

Pimples/ACNE Problems

My student "Baby Girl", not her real name, was absent from school as well as from tutorials for three days now. I called her the other day and she said she has the biggest problem that she can not go to school because of it. She also do not like to go out of her house because of the said problem. So, I told her I shall be coming by today, and that's just what I did.

Both her parents are in the US working as nurses. Baby Girl lives alone except for her Nanny. Unfortunately, the Nanny does not know more than take care of the house, wash her clothes and cook for her. When I arrived I immediately saw the problem---pimples. Of course, pimples made Baby Girl self conscious. For a high school student, that is understandable. On the contrary, there is something about her pimples that bothers me when I saw them. They were so sore and very red. And they are bigger than the regular pimples. So I decided, since no one is available, that I would go with her tomorrow to see a dermatologist here in Cagayan de Oro City. So far we have two of the best, so no worries. I had to leave after my session with Baby Girl because I had another client waiting. But of course, tomorrow is a Saturday so I am free to go.

After my third client today, I am here online again, but the image of Baby Girl's pimples remain. So I started searching...at least, there may be something I will be able to pick up. If I am not mistaken, Baby Girl's problem may not be pimples but ACNE. The swelling, the pain.. I hope I am wrong. So anyway, since I am guessing that the case is acne, so I searched for Acne Treatment. And of course, with the help of my friends, Miss Merriam Webster and Mr. Google, I arrived at one very interesting site which enlightened me about the said dilemma. This particular site have so many Acne Treatment Reviews for the products they are endorsing, and I do believe they are worth the try. They are said to be Acne Treatments that Work, so might as well take note of them as they may come handy tomorrow. Baby Girl is like a daughter to me. I would hate to see my Zarelle to have the same problem someday, specially because Lili's dad also had serious problems with pimples.

DIETING FOR THE NEW YEAR

My friends asked me what my new year's resolution was. I told her I am not into that anymore. Mainly because I have decided to live my life one step at a time, each day as it comes, believing that I will be happier if I live my life in the "here and now". But of course, I think long term if the concern is about my daughter, Zarelle. That is a whole different thing.

Anyway, part of the reason why I do not want to tell my friends about my new year's resolution is that it involves my health, my diet to be precise. Although, secretly, I am opting to go on a diet. Not only for aesthetic purposes, but mainly for health reasons. I want to live longer and healthier for my daughter's sake.

I have read online about every available diet program and regimen. From drinks, solutions to diet pills. Here's one interesting diet regimen that will surely help. I found this in YOU TUBE, see the video below:

Interesting isn't it?

So I searched more information and found more Proactol Reviews available. According to what I read, it is UK's leading weight loss supplement which is 100% natural and organic. What is nice is that it is not expensive compared with other diet pills as it come with Proactol Discount. For those who are interested to buy Proactol diet pills, a list of secret discount codes can be found on their website , www.bestdietpills-1.com.

I am looking at the possibility of using this diet pills to lose weight and stay healthy. My Zarelle likes to run around and play with mommy...surely, I need to keep up with my three year old...
and I need to live longer to see her and my grand kids---long term, right?

FLASH FLOOD PIX : CREDITS TO THOSE WHO TOOK THEM

I have posted in VSK8SHOP about what happened to the Caballero Family during the Cagayan de Oro River FLASH FLOOD... Although I wanted to go with my father to take pictures of the damage or the actual scenario, I could not. Mainly because yesterday, I had a greater role to play at home and we are far away from the site. As a blogger, it would have been a great opportunity to write an important story and show pictures too. But I was never given that opportunity. I had to stay where I was. This morning I wanted to go to the relief station (to see how we would help aside from the food donation and used clothing), where the rest of the victims were evacuated--The Balulang National High School. But dysmenorrhea hit me with a very bad headache and I was sprawled on all fours with my tummy pushed on three pillows to fight the pain. I hated the feeling. Now that it's all better, I am here blogging about nothing, until I chanced upon the multiply and facebook accounts of my brother demolay, Titus Velez. He was able to capture the event mainly because their house became the dropping point for food and help for the victims and rescue workers alike, not to mention, he was also one of the rescue volunteers. All pictures gave me shivers to the bone...here's the link for the first batch of photos, and click here for more.

Another one I have seen online is a photo by Dustein Sibug, the one you see here. The photo was taken after the flash flood in nearby Nazareth. There were many barangays hit by the flash flood. Many properties destroyed. Hopefully, no life is ever destroyed. Oh, except animals...I heard that the cows and goats that were almost dying were killed and cooked for the keeper's consumption. Those that survived are at teh mercy of whoever found them...good for those who are waiting for the owners of the animals to claim them...whew...what a calamity.

I guess for the Nth time, this is a wake up call to all of us people...we should plant more trees. Take care of our environment and REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE....

By the way, if you have more pix, feel free to link them to thios post. Thank you.

BEAUTY & MADNESS

A friend of mine got married the other month. She married a man who is three times as old as her. She told us that she married him for love and not for his money. Well, she is our friend so we are very supportive of her. After a month of being married, my friend calls one of the girls and cries her heart out, saying that she wants her husband to have cosmetic surgery for men. So immediately, we girls gathered and talked about what could be her problem. It so happened that a tactless waitress in one of the restaurants of one of the cities they visited for their honeymoon commented that her husband is as old as her grandfather. What with the grayish white hair, the bulging stomach, the wrinkles and the droopy eyes. My friend was really hit by what the woman told her to the point that she questioned her real feelings for her husband. But of course, she cannot tell him her feelings for fear of what might happen afterward.

Anyway, we girls decided to look for alternatives or for solutions or suggestions we could find. They will be leaving for the UK next month for another trip, so I was thinking, if he has all the money, might as well do it there. Problem is, how our dear little lady would open it up to her husband.

So here is my part of the search for solution/suggestion. Of course, being the person who's always online, might as well look for my suggestions online. And thanks to google, I found a site that matches my query. I went to www.mya.co.uk, there I found MYA Cosmetic Surgery which offers a range of affordable, flexible finance packages to help create and beautify anyone interested, be it men or women. I found that the most popular male cosmetic surgery procedures are as follows:
Rhinoplasty or Reshaping of the nose, Gynaecomastia or commonly known as Chest Reduction for males, Pectoral Implants or what we call Male Breast Enlargement, of course the most common of all, Liposuction or the Removal of Fat from all the areas affected. And here's the most interesting, Otoplasty or what is known as Ear Reshaping..Whew...and I thought women are the only ones who are vain...hahahha...

There are more interesting facts I have read in their site. Anyway, if there are men out there who are interested, please visit their site through this link here. As for women with the same dillema as my friend, well, consultation is FREE...hehehe...hope my friend is okay with this contribution of mine...I await her comment...hehehe...

YUMMY SUNDAY # 3

I posted this at VSK8SHOP... Anyway, this is called "REMEMBER ME"..in other places like Cebu City it's called "Soup # 5", in Butuan City, they call this "Lantiaw"...and so on and so forth.. No matter how it is called, the ingredients are the same. They are as follows:

1.) Beef (preferably male cow's organ, if not, cow skin, beef chunks and fats will do)
2.) Ginger
3.) Chilis (green and red)
4.) Garlic
5.) Onions

and everything will be sauteed in a little oil. Water is added for the soup. Simmer. When serving, add white pepper to add flavor and spice. Best eaten with boiled banana (saba)..

This food is said to be an aphrodisiac. So ladies, if you need help to warm up "cold feet", ahahaha...a bowl of Remember Me will do...wink wink wink...

TATAY, MY HERO...

At 1:30 this morning, I was still up and blogging/blog hopping/opps hunting...hehehhe, then suddenly the lights went dead---Oh shoot, I missed an opp! But hey, that is not the main point in this post. Immediately, I turned off the switches, secured the area. Honeysweet has my father's, my daughter's and my possessions and investments so I gotta secure the place. Then my phone went dead---Shoot! Low bat or dead...I panicked, it was very dark. I was afraid. I was afraid for I do not want anything bad to happen to me or to the properties inside Honeysweet. I turned on my smart# cellphone and luckily it was still alive, both my globe# phones were already dead since I forgot the charger at the new place. One bar and three available messages was all I had. So , okay, I can still breathe...with the remaining power, I tried to light my way through..had to think fast...

However, when I was about to go outside to leave, a car was parked across the street and there I panicked again. Why was the driver blinking the lights as if signaling something...Oh Lord, please NOT robbers. I started to pray. Prayed the Divine Mercy Prayer, Hail Marys and The Lord's Prayer. Then my own prayer...then The Creed..."Oh Lord, I do not want to die yet, Zarelle is still very young. She needs me!"...That's all I have prayed for,and of course, "Lord, keep me safe."...

I texted Honey's number and Tatay's, both with: "It's so dark in here, I am very afraid!"...I continued to pray and the car was no longer in sight. I secured electricity, turned off everything, searched for the keys and the locks...then went outside and locked Honeysweet. At least when I am outside, my chances for survival is greater...I can run or shout should there be any one to cause me harm...then my father texted me back asking where I was...I replied with my last peso balance of load...told him where I was, and my phone went dead again...No phone in the dark on a very rainy night...all I could do is continue praying. I was the only one in the darkness...the taxi and other vehicles that pass by only passed by. They could not see me. I continued praying then light shown from the street across Honeysweet. I called out and asked if he was my Tatay...and I heard my father's voice...I was shaking and he gave me more light. I told him I will check the inside one last time if I locked and turned off the switches properly...after that, we went home together...

My prayers kept me safe, and when my father arrived I felt completely safe...Thank You Lord...

I am not doing that again...CEPALCO gives no warning, so I wont do that again---10pm is closing time and that's it---no more overtime for me...

ACOBAY

Just as everything nowadays is governed by the principle of networking, every seller or consumer also has this in the market today. It seems that a consumer social network is necessary and creates more opportunity than any other media in this age and time. A seller's and a consumer's reputation is based on their activity in the said consumer social network they belong to. Examples of this are EBAY, SHAREAPIC, ZIDDU and many more. Now here's one interesting consumer social network that is perhaps hip and cool for all bloggers to join in. How would you like to share your site and get paid to do so? Isn't that amazing? I have signed up and I am on my way, hahaha...

Anyway, at Acobay, people share their "stuff" (anything you wish to share---those kinds of stuff...) and get connected with each other by what's common, the cars driven, places visited, movies seen and loved, games played, and so on and so forth. The list is endless. Then the interaction with people of same interest develops with real meaning, then, gets personalized recommendation.

As for me and my blogs...well, I am listing them all as "anything" category, and voila! See you in ACOBAY guys, and let's all earn sharing what we love...

FUNGAL TREATMENT

Have you ever experienced suffering from nail fungus, toe fungus or toe nail fungus? Quite frankly, I have not. But this itchy wound in my toes is telling me otherwise. I scratched it the other day and it bled. I asked my mother and she told me it may be a toe fungus and that I should use a germicidal soap, which I did, but to no avail. So, I beg to disagree. All I know is that my feet got soaked in the rain and after that, though I took a long soothing bath, my toes itch and the wound it has caused me hurt so much. So here I am now, in front of my PC, consulting my dear friend Miss Merriam Webster. But she too do not know anything about it. So I searched, and searched. I am looking for treatment to end my misery, so I used words like Nail Fungus Treatment, Toe Fungus Treatment, Toenail Fungus Treatment in my specific searches.

Hmmm...itchy, itchy toes...even the nails of my toes. Oh my goodness. I hate this...

So anyway, I found out a lot about FUNGUS, and of course since the area of concentration is the toes, skin and nails,
I am so glad I chanced upon the website, http://www.toe-nails-fungus.com, where most of my questions about toe and toenail fungus treatment were thoroughly discussed, with a product, Zeta Clear Anti Fungus Formula, is introduced too.

And boy, was I happy. I do not have any of the symptoms...my nails are not yellowish or discolored. Besides that, the itchiness is only in the skin...must be because we had shrimps on new years eve, and I am allergic to shrimps (Sniff Sniff, sigh)..also, my fingernails are quite long already, which perhaps caused the wounding of the itchy part. Other than that, I think I am safe from fungal infection...hehehhe...

On the contrary, if anyone of you suffers from the said symptoms and would like Nail Fungus Treatment, Toe Fungus Treatment,or Toenail Fungus Treatment then visit the site. I swear, I learned a lot today. A happy new year indeed...

BEWARE OF FAKE MONEY

My sister was crying hours before the new year..she felt really bad when she discovered that her P 200.00 bill she prepared for the "palihi" for the new year is a fake. This is where we need to be very careful of. She had her P 500 bill broken down for the "palihi" while she was yet in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, during an offcial travel. She asked her student to buy her a bottled water for the purpose of breaking down the bill. So the change was P 490.00, the P 200 bill sandwiched between the two P 100.00 bills and some other bills, P 20s and a P 50.00---who would have thought she would only discover it to be fake just hours before the new year? The bad thing is, it is very easy to distinguish since it merely looked like a colored photocopy of the real thing..

So guys, BEWARE...

BUILD YOUR DREAMS

Have you heard of BYD Cars? It is a Chinese manufacturer that produces many of the world’s cellphone batteries and only began selling cars in 2003. So far, what I have gathered about this company is its amazing products. It started with the F6DM plug-in hybrid sedan, followed by the smaller and less expensive F3DM plug-in hybrid compact car. And now, it has introduced the E6 electric car. It will be a 5 seater with an acceleration of 0 to 100 kph of around 10 seconds. Top speed should be top speed of 160 kph (100 mph), and the battery pack, which is located under the rear passenger seats, will be based on BYD's own lithium-ion iron phosphate technology. Range per charge is expected to be 300 km (186 miles). Amazingly fabulous, isn't it? An electric car?

I could just imagine if people all own an electric car here in the Philippines then there would be less smoke and the pollution rate would lessen. What do you think? I guess being Asian and all have its advantage in the Asian market. But of course being ambitious is not at all bad also. BYD AUTO, with BYD stands for BUILD YOUR DREAMS, of course anything in that aspect is possible. As BYD Auto will soon be launching the bigger markets in the world. Well, I am pretty sure that will be a big break for them...
As I write this first day of the year 2009, I realize that some things, no matter how good they are, must come to an end. I was about to play my TRAVIAN, and I couldn't play anymore. MY TRAVIAN LIFE STOPPED...and I was redirected to a page with the letter below:

Dear Travian players,

The sun had already gone down, but still the workers of the metropolis LW-BOW-Legends continued their toils to finish their extraordinary monument. Onwards they laboured, until finally at ??:?? am/pm, after weeks of blood, sweat and tears, a worker laid the final brick in what was the most magnificent construction in Travian history since the downfall of the Natarian Empire.

Together with the alliance "UNDERDOG", "darkdracon" was the first to finish the the Wonder of the World, using millions of resources whilst also protecting it with hundreds of thousands of brave defenders. It is therefore "darkdracon" who receives the title "winner of this era"!

"pikachuu2" was ruler over the largest personal empire, followed closely by "KosMake" and "!.OEGUSAndy".
"!.Biker" slew more than any other, and was the mightiest, most fearsome commander.
"SpeedDash" was the most glorious defender, slaughtering his enemies at his gates, staining the lands around his villages with their blood.

We as the Travian-Team want to thank those of you who stayed until the end for your overwhelming loyalty and the understanding that you showed us when perhaps things did not always run as smooth as they should have.

We salute you,

Best regards,
Your Travian-Team

A HAPPY NEW YEAR INDEED...

NO GAMES AT HONEYSWEET...

Honeysweet stopped allowing amers to play online games at Honeysweet since January 2007. It's already two years since then that counter strike bot download was stopped, yet we still have clients and customers who wish to have them in our little nook. Sometimes I become strict towards them as they come here sometimes wearing their school Ids and uniforms and during school times...so what do i do? I shoo them off to go back to their classes. But of course, knowing these kids, they would go to another internet shop who are willing to tolerate sudh bad habbit. Students should be in school. I wonder why some internet opeartors in our area would allow kids in uniforms to be playing online games even during school hours, and in theri uniform. Surely there is a directive for that from the barangay.

In fairness with the gaming industry, actually, I do not see anything wrong with them. They are even helpful in developing the children's minds. Critical thinking comes with strategizing to win in the games. However, some internet operators, in their goal of making money through the business, would be so bad to tolerate kids being absent in school so as not to be absent in their cafes...tsk..tsk..tsk..

BEST THINGS TO COME IN THE NEW YEAR...

*****WAS SUPPOSED TO PUBLISH THIS POST 2 HOURS BEFORE WELCOMING THE NEW YEAR, BUT THE NET WON'T LET ME******

As I opened my blog tonight, just 2 hours away from year 2009, I am greeted with a very good sign of prosperity for the coming year...Page Rank...yes, my page rank increased by 1, and by God's Grace, Ia m really happy...it's a good sign isn't it? And when I turned to close the door here at Honeysweet, a male customer walked in and is now using one of the PCs...that's another sign...but of course, PRAYERS is the best weapon of all...and MY GOD IS WITH ME IN ALL MY JOURNEYS...that I am certain...

We just occupied a new place for our learning laboratory. It was tasking and painstaking as the former occupants were not cooperative and utterly disgusting. When we moved on the 28th, we did not expect to be cleaning up a very dirty abode...and very smelly too---what with 3 dead, almost decayed rats in the cabinets. We spent from the 28th until this morning, cleaning and beautifying the place...and I also had the roof fixed and plastered, while the gutters cleaned and reinstalled to prevent overflow...next year, ahehehhe on the 2nd, we are going to repaint and more...whew...sounds a lot of work, but hey, it's okay...I love the place, it's wide area and space is conducive for learning, we just have to set the ambiance, ahehehhe...see pics below...

Anyway, all transactions will still be done at the business address...so it really isn't any problem...

Love life, well...God's Will---that's all I can say.

By the way, before I left, I took photos of the food we prepared earlier for tonight's New Year Table Offering...we actually do this as an offering for a bountiful year ahead...we have been doing for ages already---tradition...TRADITION!!! well, I like this tradition, so full of treat, ahahahha...

here they are, enjoy...
