I was invited by the Cagayan de Oro Culinary Center for an open house some weekends ago, but I was not able to go because I read their invitation too late. Anyway, I am sure there will be more in the future, so I guess I will simply wait for that next open house.. What I am actually busy looking for is a restaurant supply store where the
restaurant supply can be bought at a cheaper value, without sacrificing quality.. And just to answer a question here, NO, I am not opening a restaurant.. But a friend of mine is planning to have a catering gig.. Either you open a restaurant or do catering, you will be needing, basically, the same supplies and materials.
I love the fact that I am learning from this friend of mine, albeit with a much difficult resolve.. This is not my line of profession, if you know what I mean.. But I am helping because I know a few kicks here and there, and I really want to learn many other things in this craft and business..
So I am also helping this friend in return.. At least it's a give and take relationship here.. And what better way to expound learning than by doing the learning at the same time giving help.. Isn't it a wonderful thought? Well, if you do not think so, then no worries.. It is just me.. I love what I do.. This give and take bargain, a win win situation actually, for both of us..
I am also igniting once more a passion that's long been dead.. Or should I say, long been terminated. Killed! Why? Perhaps I lacked the time, or the interest, or someone beat me to it, and I didn't want a foul competition.. Either way, it wouldn't matter now.. If I pursue culinary arts, it would be because my passion has awakened, and not because someone forced me to do it.. Or that I was only trying to help someone.. But in this case, again, I am actually doing both.. and I like it really!
