My friend Juliana loves Marvel Comics. She has perhaps the grandest collection I have ever seen. whew.. I wonder, did she ever think of herself as one of the characters she reads from there? Perhaps when she was younger she thought of being Wonder Woman or whoever she wants to be.. Ha. That must really be exciting. I mean, having read all those comics, surely she must be getting some pleasure out of it..

To note: I believe FOREVER exists for as long as we work towards attaining it.. Infidelities can be avoided but if it is the reason for anyone to lose faith in his or her partner, then perhaps the partner is not worthy of FOREVER... so he or she must LET GO... or you LET GO of him or her...

trading options

Anyone here have any trading options to share? Any idea how to earn big with trading? Lately, I have been thinking of going into that direction as I hear many people telling me of the profits... According to most of those people, they get 200% profits from their investments. So is it really that big? Hmm.. I have asked many people, friends and family, alike to shed some light here, since I really want to know... But, since no one was able to help me, I sought Mr. Google's help instead. I was led to the website www.wickedprofits.com and boy did I find honest to goodness information regarding the said topic. Now I think I am ready to rumble, lol..

Seriously now, I am all in for the profits that is promised. Hmm.. I guess I will have to learn it slowly at my own pace. How about teaching me more, anyone??? Hehehe..

FEEL GOOD SHOES...

Ever since I was able to afford it, I have had the tendency to buy myself a pair of FEEL GOOD SHOES whenever I feel down.. A break up, a frustrating grade, a sad goodbye, an ending, a sour mood, and all other reasons for the purchase. It's always a RED pair that changes my mood. And usually, if it's a RED pair, there is always a story behind it. In fact, every time I see my old pairs, I am able to distinguish the time and the people or the event associated with each pair. Am I crazy or what??.. Not really.. But I often wondered why this is so. Perhaps, it's my way of coping. Ordinary shopping or buying anything else other than a RED pair does not have that effect.

Today however, I purchased my first pair of FEEL GOOD SHOES after a very long time.. I just knew they will make me smile. Technically, I am feeling okay in the last few weeks and still am.. I was no longer tired or exhausted like I usually am since I started my walking and dieting again.. I have no reason to be sad as I am happier than happy. Everything in my life now is in place... Perhaps I just needed affirmation that everything is right on track again.. I love my RED shoes.. so timely, VDAY is two days away...

I am looking for some information about the different kinds of data card when Allisson, my chat friend from Nebraska shared with me a very helpful website, www.datacard.in, where I learned a lot about them. It's only when I explored the said site that I learned that there are so much to learn about data cards. Can you imagine that? I thought they are simply for storing files and such, but, that is not just the only purpose they were created. whew...

FOOD & BEAUTY NEVER GOES OUT OF BUSINESS

My sister and I went to David's Salon Chavez-Velez Branch and I had a haircut/trim. And guess what, I loved it there. Afterwards, we went to Jollibee for our favorite foodies.. We had fun..


A simple haircut and simple foodies costs a lot already these days.. Imagine, in just minutes, I spent P 346.00 already. I am not complaining or anything, but this is perhaps a point to reflect on.

P 112 for a haircut, to some, may be too much since you can actually get a P 49.99 from Carlo Reyes or other lower than P 112 from any other salon. But at David's Chavez-Velez Branch, the entire experience is different. I like the professional feel of the services they render. Not to mention that the staff do not talk trash and nonsense... I think I will be going there more instead of going somewhere else for trims or haircuts. But of course, if it's for other applications, except make up which I do by myself, I would still go to Vincent's. I always go to Maylinda's for footspa and pedi-manicure, so that too may not change. Beauty is indeed expensive, but if its worth it, then never mind the cost, so long as you can afford it.

About the food, well, a simple snack at Jollibee cost us P 234, and for two people, that would be too much if one is on a tight budget. But hey, if you enjoyed the food and the company, that is not so much.. These simple eats have provided me and my sister a chance to bond more.. So it's actually priceless...

But then again, if we think about the many hungry people and the fact that P 346 could already feed more than two people for the said amount, then it is indeed a fact that it's too much.

Hmm.. Sometimes, this Atenean spirit is killing me, lol.. But really, it has more sense, don't you think so?

Realization for business: Food and Beauty never goes out of business, so perhaps it is the best business option. People eat and beautify themselves, and are willing to do so for as long as they can afford, regardless of the world financial crisis...

I WANNA FLY

Yes, I wanna fly. Where? Let's see... I wanna travel the world and of course, I can not allow myself to miss Spain and Germany.. Why? Well, I found out that there are lots of cheap hotels in barcelona, Spain which are as many as the cheap hotels in munich, Germany. Don't get me wrong. I am not talking about the ordinary so so accommodations. I read from www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk that they are also good hotels only you pay less. And since I am a budget traveler, well, that is enough for me.

My uncle and his family lives in UK and some cousins have already migrated there too. Another batch will be leaving soon. Hmm... Perhaps that is how it is meant to be. BRAZO DE MERCEDES: Recipe Anyone?

Brazo de Mercedes has always been my favorite. But there are only 2 sources of Brazo that I truly appreciate. One is from a friend of Auntie Nancy who sells them homemade, and of course from Vienna Kaffeehaus. Of course, there's Goldilocks to go.. But I find them too sweet sometimes...

I would love to know how to make my own Brazo de Mercedes... The one in the photo is from Cecil's and I don't like the taste of the center. It has a "coconut oil taste" to it which I do not like. Anyhow, if anyone here has a recipe for me to try, do share..

Let There Be Light

Funny, last night I had to send Carmz off to my father's house to borrow light bulbs for our kitchen lighting. Call it crazy, but where should we buy a light bulb at 10:30 in the evening? I know my dad has extras since he buys by the dozen. So I asked for one. My father has always been generous and kind. hehehe...

Anyway, what good is a kitchen lighting fixture if its bulb is no longer working? So when Carmz arrived armed with the expected light bulb, all we have to say is "let there be light" and there was light...

ON APARTMENTS

When I first moved here in the Orange house, I was thinking of moving in an apartment in the city instead. Compared to what I would be spending there, I chose to live here, near my parent's house for reasons of practicality. Now, since they do not have any house help, I send Carmz over there to help them out too. And most times, when we have something to share like food or movie DVDs, we go from the orange house to the yellow house. It's such a good idea to be neighbors with your family. We hitch a ride to school for Lili and River are classmates. And of course, there are many more benefits. But what I like most is that I can make sure that my father or mother are okay... But of ocurse, since I am planning to go away again, I am considering apartment living again and again...

Speaking of which, have you ever tried living on Wilmington NC apartments? Well, many people who have done so, often say that it's quite an experience. I wanna try that too. Hehehe.. Well, maybe when I get there. Although, that will have to take awhile, I guess. But, who knows. Time just go by so fast...

What's up with this post? No memes, no nothing.. Just sharing what I have made. It's Cheesy, less meat,more vegetables meatballs. I think this is healthier compared to my old recipe. And I have just finished cooking.. It's actually for tomorrow, hehehe... I am sure eye brows are raising now. I have cooked ahead because tomorrow is gonna be a full day for me. And Carms will be going to the Barangay Health Center for her prenatal check up... So now, I am done and ready to bloghop again...

Solar Energy in the Philippines

I have heard so much about solar energy in the Philippines, and I think it is one of the best solutions to our energy crisis right now. All we will ever need is to get ourselves home solar kits.

LIFETIME STUDY CENTER PICTORIALS

Last Thursday was the schedule of Lili's and River's Class Pictorials at AGFA Colorhouse. We arrived as early as 9:30 in the morning while schedule was yet 10:30 AM. When we arrived the studio was packed with little boys and girls with their respective parents and guardians and nannies. It was very crowded yet everyone seemed to like it anyway.

The photo above and below were taken from my phone camera. The shots that we paid for will still be printed and distributed next week I think.. And I am excited already...

Lili and River had fun during their pictorials.. It's a pity I was not able to get shot of their wacky pose as Sweet was calling me that time.. I had to take her call.. Anyway, I will see them soon..

The Global Green Challenge ran from Darwin to Adelaide. By far, it was the world's leading, cross-continental showcase of the latest advances in hybrid, electric, solar, low emission, and alternative energy vehicles. The Challenge included two demanding urban loops and covered a total distance of 3,147 kilometers. After seven days of intense competition, the new Santa Fe R diesel had consumed a total of just 160.46 litres of diesel fuel and achieved a low 137.67 grams of CO2 per kilometre. That was when it reached the finish line. Amazing isn't it?

The winning vehicle was driven by the ever gorgeous, former Australian rally champion, Ed Ordynski with the motoring commentator, John Cadogan. 2010's Global Green Challenge will run from the 24th to the 31st of October, and during this challenge, contestants will battle the outback terrain of Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Coober Pedy.

Get Rid of Duplicate Files

We have a really huge memory size in each PC. I wondered why we had to upgrade the size when all we ever used it for are for storing pictures and important store documents that have a really small size... Then I went to check and found that we do not really need an upgrade. We just need to manually delete files that have been saved in multiples. But doing that will take so much time. Then my sister and I had an argument about back ups. whew... Good thing Mr. Google gave us a solution. We just need to get rid of duplicate files using a specific program...

Yes, you have to get rid of duplicate files because they eat up space in your PC. You can actually get or download duplicate finder online and it's for FREE. I just did. Now I am cleaning up my PC. A back up file is always good. But when you have ten of the same file, that is really too much. Right? Godspeed Kiddo...

Joseph del Gallego, or fondly called as Kiddo by friends and loved ones have passed on. The photo you see above is proof that even in a not so good state physically, Kiddo lived his life like normal people do. He never complained, nor became depressed about his situation. And with that many people were inspired by his attitude and perspective of life.. He kept the fight going without surrender at the same time lived life as normally as he could. His friends and relatives appreciate this very much as well as every person, although stranger to him or his family. Every person who will be able to know his story ends up inspired to live life with a better attitude towards everything.

Personally, Joseph reminds me that I have nothing to complain about life, whatever it gives me. It's all a matter of perspective really. No more, no less. And I thank Kiddo for such inspiration...

I do hope his family, his wife and kids especially, will be strong in his passing.. Kiddo will always be remembered as a good friend to everyone. Helpful and always happy to lend a helping hand... I guess that is why many people loved and continues to love him...
