Home Remedies

Is there a remedy for depression? I always believe that depression can be prevented. And I also believe that there is no cure for a person who thinks negatively. Sure, depression can be caused by a lot of factors in one's life. Each occurrence may have a different cause than the other occurrences. If a person takes it to himself to be overly pessimistic, then such pessimism is more likely to become worse.

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, a depressed person  can be seen as experiencing feelings of sadness, helplessness and hopelessness. In lay man's terms, if one says he or she is feeling "depressed", most people would often see it as synonymous with the feeling "sad", but  of course, both clinical depression and non-clinical depression can also refer to a multitude of  feelings, and not just one specific feeling. If we think about a common cold, surely, there is a proven home remedy for it. Specifically, a mother's home remedy, that works just right to send it away. Home remedies for colds, cough and even fever or flu.. Those are easy to come by. For there isn't any home that do not have home remedies of some sort. But depression? Depression is a clinical term, hence, a need for a clinical approach. But if we are to talk about sadness, melancholy, feeling bad on a holiday, for as long as it is not  over a long period already, recurring and extreme, then I believe there is a remedy for it. But come to think of it, if a person is at home with his environment, where there is unconditional love, acceptance and lots of loving and nurturing actions, them depression is less likely to occur. Unless of course, it has already been triggered, thus therapy is what is needed.

I am not an expert about this topic.  I may be wrong. But then, that's what I think. Let us all be happy. Happiness is a state of mind. Think happy thoughts, for when one is happy, regardless what happens in his or her life, she or he will be able to make it with a better disposition, hence better outcomes..
