Wedding Give -aways Imported From Australia

Glenn and Tabitha had been married in Australia for four years now. Actually, they will be celebrating their fifth in December. They had a simple celebration with only their church / prayer community that witnessed their union. Tabitha's dad had been sickly lately and her mom requested that both Glenn and she, should come home and be wed again on their fifth anniversary. And this time, her dad would give her away. Of course, she and Glenn would very much like to see both families in another wedding banquet so they agreed.

The couple decided to buy wedding give - aways imported from Australia since the wedding will take place here in the Philippines. So judging from what could come out of their discussions, I am anticipating that the wedding give aways would be
souvenirs from Australia. Hmm... I am thinking of boomerangs, plush toys, key chains, clip on koalas, clip on kangaroos, stuffed koalas, koala bears, Aboriginal handmade Australian souvenirs, or anything that showcases aboriginal art, aboriginal symbols, or simply, aboriginal souvenirs that make Australia known for...

Ah.. The list could go on and on... But only Glenn and Tabitha would know what to give away on their 5th Anniversary Wedding Celebration...

This reminds me of a site I have visited a few months back. I think it was during the time my cousin Aileen came home for a visit from Australia and celebrated the dedication of her daughter here. In fact, I was one of the godmothers, lol.. Anyway, we went online the week before they arrived, her mom, Auntie Irma and me. And we came upon www.australiasouvenir.com and played around the site a bit... I remember Auntie Juliet even commented on how nice most items we found at the site. We even joked that maybe Aileen will be bringing some stuff bought from them.. Yeah, the site was totally amazing.. I love all the original designs and the affordability they offer their customers... You should try and visit the site to see for yourself..

FOR SALE ICE CANDY

The photo above shows a vendor selling ice candy, the Filipino version of the ice drop, only it is placed inside plastic wrappers and not on a stick. I was fascinated by how customers of this vendor reacted to his marketing tool.

ICE CANDY LONG (TAAS), HUGE (DAKU), YUMMY (LAMI) P 5.00

If you are thinking what I am thinking, you would surely smile...

Hehehe...

CHARTER ON DEMAND

Ondemand
Lili and I would always argue about the movies to watch. And most often, I end up watching her shows especially when she would tell me facts like I promised her that at this specific hour is her turn and that I have forfeited mine when I watched something using her time. The argument could go on and on. How I wish I could get Charter, the On Demand channel. I read that with Charter, there are over 6,000 movies and shows to watch anytime. We need not wait as there are no schedules. If we missed one of our favorite shows like Without A Trace, Heroes, The Amazing Race and many others, they can be seen the day after they air on TV for Free!

To be certain about this information, I have visited their website and surely all of us can learn more at charter.net/ondemand. We can also get updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page.

Wouldn’t you agree that if we start using Charter, our relationship with all of the people in our house can improve drastically? I mean, let’s face it, most arguments start with simple television shows that not everyone would agree to watch. Good if you have two or more television sets. But then, that would be too expensive to maintain.

And of course, if we are so busy and we miss our favorite primetime show, it would really be a loss on our part. Good if they will show the previous scenes, if not, then we would be thinking about what happened earlier… Well, that’s just me when I watch a primetime show. I need to be updated with every bit of the story…

Remembering the Departed...

We came home from the Cagayan de Oro Gardens today. We usually camp out at this beautiful and clean cemetery during All Saints and All Souls day (November 1 & 2)... It's sort of a reunion and gathering for us Ergina-Aguilar Clan. In this cemetery we have our grandparents, Felipe "Lolo Peping" Aguilar and Victoria "Lola Viating" AbrogueƱa Ergina Aguilar... beside them is Leonel "Tatay Leonel" Caballero... and of course at the farthest ends are some friends and friend's relatives who have passed away...

Remembering our dearly departed is one of the best traditions we Filipinos have. And hopefully it will not be changed in the years to come...

Zenni Glasses for the Holidays...

Hey guys, remember the $8 Prescription Zenni Glasses that I featured here a few months back? Well, I visited their site today and I discovered that they have Holiday Fun Eyeglasses available as well as New Arrivals that were added to their line of elegant, trendy and affordable eye wear.

The eye wear above is what I like among the New Arrivals. But since Christmas is fast approaching, I think I will choose the eye wear below. The color truly fits the coming season.

Well, what do you think? At Zenni, any personality will have its matching eye wear...

A STAR..

A star means so many things for a child in preschool. Whatever its meaning, it only show one thing. That the child has done something good in school. It could be in reading, writing, coloring, spelling or even in dancing or singing.

And sometimes, out of the blue, without any hint of expectation, a child gets a star for simply being helpful...

Is It Good For Mommies To Play Casino Games?

I have a friend who always love to go to the casino to play rounds on the slot machines. Sometimes she wins, sometimes she doesn't. Then she discovered the best online casinos so she can be online most days playing at online casinos. But her husband and kids approve of this new found hobby of hers. I wondered why. Then one day, Jim, her husband, and I were able to chat and Jim mentioned that Lizzie has lost all her passion for her old hobbies and was dying to find out something new about herself. Jim said that she may have gone through post partum depression and the only way for her to go up on her feet again is a dose of casino game. It was quite odd for me to hear these words. Could it be that Jim is just in denial? But then, Lucy, their 19 year old daughter confirmed this to be true. She told me that ever since her mom started playing the Casino games, she was more alert and attentive to them than when she was having the blues. Ah.. So it must be true.. Anyway, at the back of my mind, I was able to formulate a question which needs some answers. Is it good for mommies to play casino games? With Lizzie's experience, I think it made her better after her condition, but i just hope she wont get addicted to it.. After all, there is still so much to being a mom than playing the casino..

How To Use Globe Tattoo More Effectively

Many Globe Tattoo users have been complaining about how they are not able to enjoy Globe Tattoo compared to those who say that it is by far, the best. If you are one of those users who have complaints, may I ask you if you know how to use Globe Tattoo more effectively? The answer lies in the fact that you may not have done something that the happy users have done. Well, technically, I am in the process of finding out for myself too. I have always wanted to get a Globe Tattoo but due to some not so good feedbacks, I have not. Until recently, I read a few tricks to using the Globe Tattoo broadband more effectively. Thanks to Earthlingorgeous for giving me the valuable information.

First is to set Globe Tattoo Broadband to search for 3G or WCDMA preferred network. This information can actually be found at the Globe Tattoo Connections Menu . We simply have to go to the Tools Tab then click Options then Network and choose 3G only. (Tools > Options > Network).

Next, set browsing preference to time-based charging rather than kb-based. I found out that time-based charge is Php5 every 15 minutes, on the other hand, KB-based charge Php 0.05 cents per kb. And taking Earth's clearer example, using Facebook. I am sure many will be interested because there are lots of Facebook users round here. hehehe... So, when we are loading Facebook, that is 18.45 a page. We will be charged almost Php 1 per page viewed in contrast with Php 5 every 15 minutes browsing via time-based charging. So happy users use time based whenever they browse using Globe Tattoo. It’s not only trendy and hip, it is actually more economical.

And that's not all. For all of us who are creative, Globe has this on-going opportunity for anyone and everyone to design their own Globe Tattoo Broadband USB skins. It's as easy as designing your own skins, have them uploaded at the Globe Tattoo Broadband Gallery and get a chance to win Php5,000. What's more, you will be able to see your work produced as actual Globe Tattoo USB skins. Now, if you do not want to make your own skin, there are four Globe Tattoo Broadband New Skins that would really fit anyone's personality.

I think the Cyber Clover is cute. It is so me...

Now that I have learned all these things, I am no longer in doubt. I will get my Globe Tattoo after I post this.

Some Kind of Political...

The photo above was taken during our midterm examinations, where my students were tasked to do a role play of their given topic. This group struck me a lot because they are the group who are all working students who were never able to practice, much less, prepare for the said role play due to time and financial constraints, but have done quite an outstanding performance.

Well, it's about determination, I should say...

The Palace

My cousin Blue's friend from UK arrived yesterday and he handed us a box from Blue. There were some adorable stuff and some edibles too. And of course, pictures. I saw this really beautiful building in one of my cousin's pictures. He wrote at the back of the photo that it's The Palace on his background. Hmmm.. I wanted to blog about it but I couldn't get the scanner working. Instead, I searched for some photo online and the one above is what I found. Also, I learned a few information about this magnificent landmark.

I was awed at the sight of The Palace Hotel as it looked different from any other hotels. According to my readings, this fabulous site is a grade 2 listed building which sits in the heart of Manchester's fashionable theater and entertainment district. So I guess it will really be a fun and exciting adventure when you traverse through teh district and go home to the splendid accommodation. And it is just opposite Oxford Road mainline train station. With its striking Victorian architecture, it makes it look more like a great piece of art. Dedicated conference staff and technical capability makes it a great venue for whatever event you have in mind... The Palace hosts many high profile events, and its center piece is The Grand Room which seats up to 1,000 delegates. Hmm.. I must say, if it's a benefit show you will have, it's gonna be a blast.

And of course, when in UK, do not forget to visit The Palace Hotel Manchester, for it is truly a great hotel. That's what my cousin said...

JOIN THE SHARE REVOLUTION

Have you heard about The Share Revolution? It's happening on November 4, 2009 at the Hampton Room, 2/F Astoria Plaza. It's actually in line with the culmination of the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards. The Institute of Transformative Marketing Communications brings you THE SHARE REVOLUTION: New Marketing Strategies in Building Brand Communities. It's actually a seminar/workshop on how to tap the power of community, how to go about with dialogue and partnership from the insights and key learning of six (6) speakers representing well-loved brands who have effectively integrated social marketing strategies into their marketing mix. In this seminar/workshop, we will be able to discover how new communication techniques can optimize promotions with a simple concept called sharing. So anyone who has something to promote would likely benefit from this opportunity.

I have just joined the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit last Saturday, and I could say that it has transformed me to become a better blogger. And with this Share Revolution, I am sure, by joining, more insights will be most beneficial. Miss Janette Toral gave us a glimpse of how we can be able to share our blogs through our social networks such as Facebook and Multiply. I am sure there will be more input during The Share Revolution that we bloggers can be able to use to promote our blogs.

The Share Revolution initiative is through the partnership of Geiser Maclang Marketing Communications and the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards Board.

3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2009

Last October 24, 2009 I was at the Pearlmont Inn attending the 3rd Mindanao Bloggers Summit 2009 organized by CDO Bloggers Inc.

At the left is a photo taken with Atty Adel Tamano, the lawyer of Vikki Belo. And at the right is a photo with fellow Butuanon, Congressman Ompong Plaza of Butuan City.

Below is the pictorials after the summit... I am so happy I have met new friends, with new blogs to add to my bloglist and of course, new learnings and discoveries from fellow bloggers from Mindanao...

I have learned so much from this summit. And although it is my first time, I am proud to say that it has provided me with so much inputs and challenges in the blogging arena. My purpose in blogging is more defined now. It is not only my bread and butter now, it is a vehicle for change. So people will see clearly how beautiful Mindanao is.

Before I end this post, I would like to borrow what Blogie Robillo have said.

"Mindanao is too beautiful to be kept a secret"

Where will I stay in Australia?

My Aunt Jennifer works in Australia. Her husband also works as a consultant for one of the leading companies there. When she first came home, she brought with her lots of souvenirs and pictures from her travels all over Australia. As the wife of a consultant, she gets to enjoy these said travels. Most of her pictures also shows the wonderful sceneries and fun activities that they have done. Not to mention, in the background are the great amenities of the hotels they have stayed in.

I guess for business or leisure, the hotels they have stayed in are really what Australia can be proud to have her tourists stay in. Take the Sheraton Hotels for example. With all its majesty and glory, one can be proud to say that he or she has stayed there, even for a night. Other hotels and accommodations include, the Rydges Hotels, or the Travelodge, or even the Radisson Hotels...

Ah... I can almost feel it. The confusion as to where I should stay in when I get there... Well, plans may push through or I may be rerouted to China..

Keeping my fingers crossed for now.. You'll hear about it very soon...

LSC FUN DAY DANCE # 1

Smoking, as we all know, is bad for our health. There's the second hand smoke that is twice as bad, as well as the third and fourth hand smoking saga that affects most people, even when they are not around smokers simply because they get affected through airborne nicotine particles and such. Why can't people simply quit smoking? I guess it's simply a challenge. A self test or determination to succeed at it. Quiting is never easy, especially when it is already rooted and embedded in one's being... Now, let me just share with you guys what i have discovered online today. It's the site, www.myquitsmokingdiary.com where in smokers who would like to end smoking habits can be helped in a variety of methods.

Quiting the habit starts when one chooses a method that works, followed by getting the quit smoking plan together, next is learning how to handle the cravings and temptations of a nicotine fix, and lastly, by simply reading about our other smokers experiences on the road or journey to quiting smoking.

With regards to the method of stopping the smoking habit, there are many that can be employed. There's Stopping Smoking using Medications. There is also the Natural and Herbal Smoking Cessation and lastly, Nicotine Replacement Therapy.

I think each method works well for specific individuals. If you wanna read more about these matters, do visit the site....

HEALTH: A PRAYERFUL JOURNEY

Last night, Lili and I prayed the rosary. We also started the Novena for all the Souls in Purgatory. And as I was enumerating the souls of our dearly departed, I can't help but think about how they each died. It seems to me that the major cause of the deaths of our dead relatives is poor Health. Some were stricken by some unknown Disease at that at that time and of course, a few died of Cancer... whew...

As I was praying and looking at the child beside me, I couldn't help but worry. Ha! My father is right. It's all in the genes. Even diseases or illnesses. And taking into consideration my family health history and her dad's, I am even more worried..

But as we prayed, I am also hopeful that with the technologies and scientific discoveries, Lili's time will not be so bad as how I worry it to be...

Lili's Insulated Lunch Tote

My friend V is really very creative. She has made Lili her very own creation of insulated lunch tote for Lili's "baon"(packed food) to school. Hmmm.. I wonder if she will make Lili a toddler backpack... hehehe Just thinking these things as I stare at Lili's nap mat that's drying under the sun. I washed it yesterday and now it is still up there since I have not taken it yet. Just have to let the air and the sun dry it some more..

V's creation reminds me of the wonderful creations at Posylane.com, my favorite gifts ideas shop online. I think V should open her own shop and share to the world her creativity. On another level, I think I am going to explore my creativity too. And be inspired to create something also… Haa… It’s been so long. My creative juices are still oozing yet I find that I do not have the time to let them flow… Well, maybe later..

Wanna buy Mobile Phones in UK?

King and I had this great chat. Oh my goodness, my baby cousin is no longer a baby. I learned that they will not be able to come home in December because King has an exam to finish. Hmmm.. That's quite sad. We were hoping that they would come as we will have our reunion again.

Anyway, prior to our conversation last night, a friend of mine told me that cellphones are cheaper in UK. So I asked King to verify from the many mobile phone shops if that is indeed true. Unfortunately, King told me that from where they are staying, he has not seen a uk phone shop. Hmm.. I believe him because that is what my other cousin said. When I asked Blue about it, he told me that he has not been inside any of the phone shops in UK...

Well, when I told my friend, he said that I should check out for myself the UK phones shops… I kind of dinged him a few times because I am not in UK now. How am I supposed to be doing that? He laughed and gave me the link to the site he was referring to. He told me to visit www.phone-shops.co.uk check out the latest and the trendy cellular phones I can find. Hmmm.. He got me on that one, lol… And that is just what I did. I checked the site and ended up telling my two cutie cousins who live in UK, hahaha.. Now they know where to go in case they would need to go to a mobile phone shop in UK.. Thanks Jared…

Anyway, the site that Jared told me about is really wonderful. One can get a lot of information about cellular phones and clients can get good deals when buying mobile phones. From Nokia to Samsung, even Vodafone. Plus, there are links that will take you to other site or pages that will give more and more information other than cellular phone needs. It’s kind of like the Google of cellular phone and other gadgets, lol… Well, you know what I mean…

PRC School Supplies Drive

100_4320

I was lucky to have experienced proctoring for the April 2009 Licensure Examinations for Professional Teachers, and I am happy to be part of this drive also.

Actually this post has long been overdue. I just saw the photos today and glad that I did so I can finally share this with you.

Anyway, the PRC along with the DepEd in Region 10 have organized it. All examinees were requested to help out by donating the pencils, rulers, plastic envelopes, ball pens and all others that they have used during the examinations for the benefit of the students in the hinterlands and the far flung barangays of the region. I believe this is a good cause. And I salute PRC and DepEd for this...

thinking of buying a yahoo domain

I am thinking of buying a yahoo domain... do you think that's a good idea? My friends are trying to convince me that it will be worth my money to use Yahoo as my domain name registrar. I had to some research and found out that Yahoo! provides domain names for as little as $1.99 per year for new customers, and $9.95 for existing customers, with no set up fees. That means I get to save a lot. Other, domain providers charge as much as $35 per year but they do not provide as many features/functionality as Yahoo! which provides 24/7 toll free phone and email support.
Come to think of it, it really is a good idea. And the best part of it all is if you have a business and register your business' website on Yahoo!, where Yahoo! Small Business provides a suite of online services that helps you get online, advertise online, and sell online. Yahoo! Domains, Yahoo! Web Hosting, and Yahoo! Merchant Solutions are all a part of Yahoo! Small Business. Hence, with it, profits are clearly spelled...

Now, wouldn't you agree that it is convincingly economical and worth every dime? Well, I don't know with you. But me, I am convinced.

KARAOKE NIGHTS: BLUE MOON

I love Ella Fitzgerald... Love this song...

A NEW LESSON FOR ME

Have you ever used a hosted pbx before? Well, I am not sure if I have or I have not.. So when Allan T. asked me that question early this morning, I smiled and said that I really am not sure if I have. I mean, I have worked with so many companies already, and usually, there are gadgets or office facility that I may have used but know not what they are called. So I searched using the keywords Allan T. used, which is "hosted pbx" and I couldn't help but laugh... So Allan T. was referring to this kind of phone system.. A business phone system... Anyway, I am really not ashamed about this as this is truly a new lesson learned... Vocabulary 101? hahaha...

I learned in my readings that the biggest problem with installing a traditional business phone system is that there are many requirements. Perhaps even a closet-full of equipment that somehow the company needs to lease, install and maintain. Hmm.. If I should recall working with all the contact centers I have worked for, I can say that I have actually experienced pbx... hosted or not, I am certain now that I have.. wait till I tell Allan T. tomorrow...

So to continue with what I learned, with a hosted pbx, (what was cited in the site was the Vocalocity PBX) companies won’t need any equipment. And with this in consideration, the company now will have a phone system that’s advanced, reliable, flexible, simple, cost effective and ready to go in about 15 minutes or so. Hmm.. to be honest, I am having a difficulty absorbing this input as they are way too technical... But I am glad that I have come across these informations now than risk continued ignorance, right?

With a hosted pbx system, the company don’t need any other equipment, hence, the company will just have to deal with only one company, instead of two or three. A flat rate shall be paid if we talk about fees per user, regardless of time on the phone.

What's more, if it's a Vocalocity Hosted PBX, it will be the best option as it is known as the total business phone service. It uses VOIP so the phone service is delivered over the internet. Vocalocity maintains the equipment, host the software and make the upgrades. And the user or the client simply uses the phones normally as how they would... whether they’re talking to the main office, leaving a voice mail, being transferred across the country, or speaking to someone working from home...

Wait a minute.. Now I am positive! Hosted pbx is how the contact centers I worked for have managed to survive... I have definitely used hosted pbx...

Got that Allan T.? hehehe... just so you'll know, I have blogged about this...

MAILBOX AND MORE

A lot of people venture into online business. It is safe and more productive. Profit wise, it is more compensating than those businesses off line... When you create a business off line, you must have a specific mailing address. That is why sometimes, people simply rent Commercial Mailboxes from a specific source. This in itself is a very good business. A Commercial Mailbox allows for a more solid foundation in the business. A business which has a residential address is most likely to fail. But of course, it all depends on what kind of business, and its location. Take Honeysweet Learning Center for instance, we used to rent this commercial space by the highway. And of course, it was easier to find us, as well as our mail. Now that we have moved in the residential area, we are less popular, lol.. Kidding aside, Commercial Mail boxes really is the trick. So we are renting this mail box at a specific business address in the city proper to take all our snail mails. But of course, most of our clients contact us through our phones.

This is a different case from that of the mall or offices, or even hotels, or condominiums, where they have to cater to different individuals, having the same general address. They need to provide the mail boxes for the said persons as part of their marketing strategy and hopeful influence with their loyal patrons.

But like what I said, providing business people or organizations a business address by renting to them commercial mail boxes, is a good business in itself.. That's just what i realized today as I got all our mails...

By the way, since we are talking about mailboxes, I would like to tell you guys that www.mailboxixchange.com has this affiliate program where you get $20 for simply signing up with them. And of course, every time you are able to send other people (your friends and family perhaps) by linking to their site using text links and banners, and if, after visiting their retail site, the customer makes a purchase within 30 days, you will receive credit for the sale, earning between 10-12% commission no matter how large or small the order is. Isn't that amazing? Looks like this is another good business for you...

At the beginning of each month they will send out checks for all commissions earned once the balance exceeds $50. If you are interested, copy the url below to your address bar:

ON CREDIT & LIFE

People say that having a bad credit is way too bad for the person's financial standing. That's the reason why some would really make a big fuss about credit repair. Credit repair can help a person a lot, especially if he or she is struggling in this financially motivated world.. And of course, credit repair entails a lot of challenges too. To fix credit is like pulling all your strings together so you can be whole again.

My friend Gabrielle told me about this really good company, OVATION, for credit report repair. She said that she has been studying the site www.ovationcredit.com for more than a week now as she is badly battered by credit. She is opting for a loan and credit reports are the best guarantee for her to be able to avail them.. Ah..

Guess what? I visited the site too. And what struck me are the other things that OVATION is doing aside from helping people repair their credits as they repair their lives. When one becomes a client, you and Ovation joins hands in forging a greener planet and a brighter tomorrow as Ovation has undertaken proactive company policies to help reduce the carbon footprint of the work they do, by choosing responsible companies committed to a healthy environment. Aside from that, a portion of their annual revenue are donated to their charitable foundation. The foundation routinely contributes to numerous charitable organizations worldwide, providing for Pediatric Aids, World Hunger, Wildlife Preservation, Darfur Relief, and Returning Vet Care.. And this is done simply by improving your credit!

I am impressed! Thumbs up Ovation...

CDO Bloggers Group Hosts Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3

The Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) group is set to play host to the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, which will be held on October 24, 2009. With the theme, “Mindanao: Bag-Uhon Ang Panan-aw,” the MBS 3 aims to uphold the beauty and strength of the island and to expunge the negative notions the world has about it.

(Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines – October 21, 2009) – It’s all systems go for the Cagayan de Oro Bloggers (CDO Bloggers) as they play host to the much-awaited Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, an annual gathering of Mindanao-based bloggers, IT industry experts, community leaders and new media advocates, on October 24, 2009 at Pearlmont Inn, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City. Roughly 300 bloggers are expected to attend this year’s summit.

With the theme, “Mindanao: Bag-Uhon Ang Panan-aw,” (Changing The Way People See Mindanao) the event aims to uphold the beauty and strength of Mindanao, to highlight the diverse cultures and fascinating tourist spots that are uniquely Mindanao and to provide a platform where bloggers and other new media practitioners can discuss concerns related to Mindanao – all with the help of new and emerging technologies.

“Mindanao is the home of everything fascinating or in bloggers’ lingo – bloggable. Through the Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3, it is the hope of the CDO Bloggers, along with our partners and generous sponsors, that we listen to knowledgeable resource persons, meet other Mindanaoan bloggers, share and maximize all of our skills and resources and adopt tried and tested practices that can help us to fully promote Mindanao and for us to become better bloggers as well,” emphasized Chiq Montes, president of CDO Bloggers.

“Of course, we also want all of the participants to have a good time and experience the sights and sounds of Cagayan de Oro,” Montes added.

Montes said that apart from Mindanaoan bloggers, the summit will also see the participation of some bloggers from Luzon and Visayas.

Expected to grace the summit is United States Embassy’s new Deputy Chief of Mission Leslie Bassett, Atty. Adel Tamano, Agusan Lone District Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza and Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula.

Considered unprecedented in the Philippine blogosphere, a top ranking United States Embassy dignitary is set to deliver the keynote address. Bassett’s trip to CDO will be her first trip to Mindanao since assuming office in June. She previously served as DCM in Mexico.

“We are deeply honored. We’re certain that the summit participants will be delighted to meet her and we can’t wait for her to see our beautiful city,” Montes said.

Other speakers during the whole-day affair include Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Tinnex Jaraula, Agusan Lone District Rep. Rodolfo “Ompong” Plaza and Atty. Adel Tamano.

Google’s Philippine representative Aileen Apolo, whose talk will focus on beginners, Digital Filipino’s Janette Toral, who will discuss blog advertising and Lyle Santos, who will talk about making money online will also be present. Representatives of other blogger groups including those in Davao City, General Santos City and Zamboanga will also give updates.

After the summit proper, participants have the choice of joining either the city tour (Xavier University Museum, Cathedral, Divine Mercy Shrine, Opol Aviary, Limketkai Mall) or the whitewater rafting adventure.

Also happening on October 24, right after the MBS 3, is the Philippine Blog Awards – Mindanao awarding ceremonies.
