Last week, while I waited for Lili to finish her session at her violin school, I saw a little kid waiting for his turn for some guitar lessons. Of course, tiny as he was, you can not expect him on a les paul guitar at Guitar Center now, but some more years or so, the kid will surely fit the picture. Just the same with Lili's violin, which is a standard. I knew perfectly that the said size will fit her well at this age already. So I didn't have to spend extra for smaller ones..

Stretch...

It's the third day of our training. I love the fact that we are given speakers who can fully deliver the mission for which the training is intended. I especially like our boss, she is a great speaker who can capture her audience, as much as fully explain the needed data, that sitting for hours may seem to be bearable. But of course, there are times that I wish for yoga mats with matching loose outfit for some yoga stretching. I guess with this thought, I need to find yoga sandals too.

Anyway, I am waiting for the talk to start, so I have the time for this post..

Date with Aamir Khan...

I have seen two of his movies previously, 3 Idiots and Every Child is Special, and I fell in love with Indian films. And when I saw these three other films with him in it, I didn't hesitate to get hold of them and watch all three.. Aamir Khan is truly a good actor in Bollywood. One of India's great treasures.

So yeah, it's quite a while as each movie is more than two hours to watch..at least I have Aamir Khan in all three... Hero or villain, he proves to be very good, and although I read subtitles, I do not mind..

Summer Project

Where can I get air pumps that are of good quality but comes with a very affordable price? Anyone???? You must be thinking hard right now of what I will be doing with air pumps, huh? Hehehe.. I have this project to finish and it includes two air pumps. No, I am not into something really masculine as of the moment, but you could say it will be beneficial for teh house.. And stop guessing because you will read about it here on this blog when it is done anyway..

One thing I like about summer is that, it gives us time to do what we want, how we want and enjoy the fruits of our artistic endeavor, or whatever skill is applied. So what's your summer project?

Unreachable

A couple of friends have told me that they could not reach me today. Well, I was one of the proctors in the Civil Service Career Professional examinations this morning. As a rule, cellular phones need to be turned off by the examinees so we also have to abide by such rule, as examiners and proctors.

When I reached home, I was sleepy so I slept without turning all my gadgets to normal, that I could not hear when someone called me in either phones. But that is actually a good thing for me, as it allowed me to sleep so soundly, without any interruption. I have not had a good sleep in ages.. hehehe

Anyway, now that I am awake, I can already be reached. You can start calling me now, okies..

Energy Saver Stickers

Biometrics Enrollment

Sometime the other week, we had one day allotted for enrollment into the biometrics system that we shall be using starting June of next school year. It is truly a great step so that we can fully move forward That's not me.

New Uniforms by June 2013

We're going to have two new uniforms by June, and I am excited about it. The designs are truly nice. However, I am having doubts about wearing it in classrooms where there are no electric fans. Nevertheless, I think they both look just right to exude that professionalism that teachers hold.

It's a Holiday!

It's a holiday here in our country, although not all Filipinos are Catholics or Christian, majority of the population are, so that makes this week a religious holiday for all. Well, I am glad we have this time to recharge and enjoy with the family, for the non-Catholics and non-Christians, but for them who will use this time to reflect, this is a great spiritual break to recharge the body and the soul.

Regardless of religious affiliation and belief, may we all have a peaceful week ahead of us..

Today..

I prepared these with my own personal funds for my adopted advisory class...  of course the certificates prepared by the school are the ones with very colorful print.. the one I prepared were just simple... I bought two medals only because there were only two left at the store I went to. I was glad to find ribbons in lieu of medals.. 

They may not be expensive looking rewards but I know they have made my adopted class happy. I saw their smiles during our awarding this morning.. Simple joys to make them happy and proud of themselves for their accomplishments...

 

I am happy because I have made them happy today..

In The Olden Days...

I saw a man this morning and he was piping a cigar. I do not know for sure if it was an avo cigar or any of those branded kinds. But one thing is for sure, he is piping a cigar. I have not seen anyone in this part of the city where a man would pipe a cigar. It seemed strange at first, but really, it also astonished me at some point. Back in the olden days, it is only the well to do or the learned who could afford to use the pipe. But some centuries ago, a pipe is not necessary for tribal folks to enjoy tobacco...

Men's Choices

If women can be very specific about beauty products, men can also be as choosy as women. This I have understood when my friend talked about the I coloniali sampler pack he received, and how much he wanted to buy some more because the product is just right for him. Then he talked about the clothes that fit perfectly on him, as well as the food and exercises that he does. Don't get me wrong, my friend is straight and has a girlfriend for quite some time, but he does take care of himself. I guess I have not been able to observe this from other men because some of them are just not into self-love. Men who give more time and attention to themselves are most often regarded as metrosexuals. They are the men who choose to keep themselves well dressed and presentable at all times.

Summer---

Oh yeah. It's the beginning of summer... Is it really? For most teachers, yes, but for some of us, no.. er.. not yet. I still have to report on Monday because we are not yet done with the clearances and I have to give my students class awards. They also have to clean the classroom and fix as well as clean their chairs.. Oh and our clearances-- teachers have to be cleared in order to be paid for summer.. 

Anyhow, I am still happy because I do not have to wake up early or do so many other stuff.. I can give more time to my online gigs now, as I have left them untouched due to my busy schedule..

I used to see men wear tungsten rings only for fashion or for simply looking good in casual settings, but gone are the days when tungsten was treated that way. Lovely Kiddie Rooms

Lili wants a room separate from mine. I think at this time, she is already becoming more and more independent and wants to have her own identity, even in the choice of design, color and decorating her own space. We found two images shared on Facebook, and she just loves these two.  

 She told me earlier that she would really be very happy if she will have a room with a combination of these two..

The Recollection On Saturday

On Saturday, we shall be having our recollection for non-Catholics, and unlike the previous recollections, we shall be having it at Blessed Hope Church in Nazareth, this City. We shall have at least two hundred third year students in lieu of the fourth year students that the fourth year level teachers could not send due to some unexplained circumstances. I wonder if we could have more students though. We saw the church and I guess the pew chairs can accommodate two hundred or more. But we'll have to see how many students will really be going. We have sent for the parents' permits as well as all communications, and tomorrow we will know..

Much Ado About Guitars

The lead guitarist of our school band wants to buy ESP at guitar center. But unfortunately for him, there was no stock available. Now, because the upcoming closing program is near, he needs to practice. We saw him and the band practice once, and they are quite good. Well, they are still young so they still have so much to do to attain an expert level. 

Anyway, I know there are also other students here who are good with instruments, especially the guitar, and they all have a long way to go yet, if they really want to become professional guitarists..

YAY! We Wont 2nd Place!

We only had three days to practice, and we were emotionally, physically as well as financially spent--- good thing we won 2nd place in the recent teachers' dance showdown which happened last Thursday, during the 103rd High School Days of our school.

Going Out Of Here..

Our city is cramped on work and school days. On weekends, the streets also become very busy with all the cars going to and fro, east or west, it just doesn't make any difference. Sometimes, with all the traffic and the noise, I dream of living, at least for a while at any of the cabins found at brokenbowlakecabins.com where nature is all in its simple yet glorious state. At least with the abundance of greens, and the rugged yet none intimidating location, I could move away from the noise or the traffic or the smokers who kill you inch by inch with their bad habits. 

Ah, but we have so much of that same scenery here in the country. Places far from the city, they are actually many of them which have been developed for that purpose-- to preserve mother nature's beauty, and make its visitors appreciate life more. In fact, I am planning to go to this place in Bukidnon, sometime in the summer, I hope. And not just in Bukidnon, but other parts of the country too. Though it's quite sad that some places here in the country have been stricken by floods and all other natural calamities, I hope the ones left will still be able to showcase nature's glory for the years to come.  

Anyway, I know there will be more and more places to be discovered. I hope I can be able to see them all when I get out of here. I mean, when my feet will lead me to someplace else in the future. I know for a fact that I can not stay long here. I will go somewhere, because I know it is what living is about. Moving forward, and onward, including moving places and meeting new people. I may stay here longer, but sooner or later, I shall move away, move back, and move away again. Yes this place is home, but maybe in the future, another place will be home too.

The Bag

Treasures can be found in all the most odd places. My friend found a very nice looking northface backpack not at the mall or online, but at the Night Cafe, where ukay bags are sold at very cheap prices. Well, that was ages ago. It was also not that expensive as most ukay sold there. I think the seller didn't know how much the bags costs. Some brands come expensive already, but not that one..

I have found a few treasures there too, but they do not last long. But my friend's bag, even after three years, is still at its very best shape.
