We signed up for Pantene's 14 day hair challenge and after a few months, they were finally delivered. We were expecting that they will be delivered before the Shampoo and Conditioner was unveiled. As we were looking at all our gym equipment, I can not help but think that it has been useless keeping them. I mean, no one is using them except my brother but that is quite seldom. My father uses the treadmill for cardiovascular exercise but still it is not also often. I guess, if one is to use equipment like ours, he or she has to use the best muscle building supplement for a boost. But then, the equipment must be used often to achieve that six pack dream and more.. Agree??

Love this Fruit

I love Mangosteen fruits. I always like its taste. I have always loved its flavor as well as its scent. Then late last year, I discovered that Mangosteen is also a very good base for so many herbal weight loss products, as well as food supplements to cure so many different kinds of ailments.

Christmas Decors and More

The mall is now busily decorated with Halloween stuff. Halloween decors everywhere. But come November, after the great feat on Halloween comes Christmas decors and goodies to come bursting in every corner, be it in the mall or in the offices, and most especially in the homes. I love seeing a christmas garland or two, as well as a mistle-toe. I love to kiss underneath it too. hahaha

And of course, comes parading winter clothing in the west as well as clothes for the rainy and cold seasons here in the east. Typical Christmas scenes like Puto Bumbong cooking on an open stove.   And families all together for a good cheer. Ahh.. I could almost see it now..

Happy Birthday Lara..

Actually, it's a belated birthday already, since it was just a few days ago. But I can not help but look at that yummy cake. It looks so yummy and creamy, I could almost taste it. Are You On A Diet?

Well, I am not really on a diet. I am just using UNO's diet capsules and so far, I find it to be the safest fat burners for me. Although some people may not agree, still It suits me fine so I am happy with it.Anyway, I do plan to exercise again, but I am just too busy these days. I need to get so many things together before I could act out on my own. 

My father;s fat burners have crazy side effects for him, and with that in mind, I get to thank UNO for what I am using currently. At least I do not feel the heavy head feel after taking the medication as well as the growling tummy. whew.. If Tatay didn't have a serious heart condition, I could easily invite him to try it out..

What's You Halloween Costume?

A few days to go, and we will be having a great Halloween costume party. Well, as how it should be, Halloween parties are usually about the scary costumes as well as the fairy costumes that people usually wear. But later on, it has evolved to include cute and sexy costumes. Anything goes. After all, it's a Halloween costumes parade of some sort. 

I will be dressed as ghost. In their fun day on October 26, Lili will be a pink fairy this year and River wants to be a pirate.  Oh well, even kids get to decide who they want to be during Halloween.. How about you? What costume would you be wearing?

Going To Canada..

My classmate and "Kumare" as what we call each other being that I am the godmother of her son, is now in Canada as a Caregiver. Well, actually, when she entered there, she was just a waitress, then moved from one job to another until she was advised to get herself a health care career by her cousin who lives there.A health care career there sums up bigger allowances and benefits, apart from the salary which she sends her family here in the Philippines. And she had been inviting our other friends and classmates to join her there.

Well, going to Canada was once my dream. But not  just to work but  to relocate. In fact, I had myself undergo the checklist procedures and stuff, but when I had Lili, I didn't want it anymore. Or I didn't think about it anymore as I wanted Lili to have her basic education here in the Philippines. I am assured of a great educational foundation for my daughter since I have enrolled her in one of the best schools in the city. Maybe when Lili is old enough, I'll consider Canada again.

Christmas is just two months away. And since it is almost Christmas, I think it is best to buy presents early to avoid the rush and confusion that the season will bring. At this early, you should have your list already. Like, I know for a fact that one of my god sons want an accessory for his xbox 360, and another wants a new pair of shoes for her Barbie, and the list could go on.Well, you may want to give them what they want or you also can give them what you can afford.

Excited..

As Lili and River are excited to wear Halloween costumes for their fun day, my other cousin is also excited to wear prom dresses for their prom in February. Not that it's a new experience for  all of them, NO.. As they have already done so last school year, but perhaps it's the event that is associated to the garments they shall be wearing, as well as the contest as to who wears them the best.. .

I too was excited when I had my chance, back in the good ole days, lol.. I guess, all of us have that degree of excitement burning within all of us..  River, despite the fact that he has already bought a costume for this year, has asked my mom to buy him another one.. And Lili can not decide which costume for us to buy-- She wants everything in the catalog..

Want To Visit The Place..

As I shall be starting my journey in a foreign land in the next few days,I am excited and thrilled and at the same time scared and know that I will be missing my Lili in the process. Nevertheless, I try to convince myself, as early as now, that all the sacrifices I will have to endure for her sake as well. In my head and in my heart I shout out that she will never be a doctor, as how she says she wants to be when she grows up if I will not embark on this journey as I am her sole provider. It doesn't really matter how far, for as long as we communicate day in and day out.. Besides, I am sure she will be thrilled as I will be to explore the different experiences that I shall be having.

One time we were browsing blogs together and came upon a post about the Modern Toilet, and she was ecstatic when she saw that people were eating on toilets, toilet seats and drinking from them too.I was amazed that she simply said, "Mommy, you try this one out and if you like it there, take me there when I get there too".. Such wise words.. Meaning, all of the things that I shall be experiencing, if I like it, she will want to experience them as well.

Happy Teacher's Day..

I thank DepEd for NOT hiring me the previous school year, and hiring someone else despite the fact that it was I who ranked first in the teacher's ranking.. Anyway, previous to that, when I first had myself ranked and landed on the 3rd rank, the experience as a substitute teacher made me realize that PUBLIC School teaching is NOT for me.. Salamat sa "Wrongking", I am still the same old me, dedicated and a happy teacher who do not make money out of my student's pockets, who do not just go to school because I need to earn a living to survive, who is still eager to share what I feel is best shared...In other words, February 2, to April 2 stint was not able to change me as it had others who have long been longing to be with the Dep Ed..  I guess it's not my place in the greater scheme of things--  In other words, I am made for some greater purpose.. but still in the same vocation.. I love to teach..

Right now, as a College Instructor, I am more fulfilled and happier because of the fact that I am getting through my students who are mostly working students, in all the positivity that I try to share. With a bit of maturity and some determination to survive, I feel they are all ears when we talk about life matters, unlike high school students. Of course, the developmental tasks of each level is different, and with that I am more satisfied. See, if we want the world to become a better place, I think it's best to influence those who are young enough to eagerly learn from you, and old enough to decide to follow the good that you imbibe to them. Of course I am not perfect, and in matters of improvement, I am open to learning from them too.

All I am sure of is that, when these students of mine marry, and raise kids, I am so sure they will remember me and our subject discussions.. hehehe

Got Hungry Waiting.. So We Ate..

We went to SM Cagayan de Oro City last Thursday to claim our Tough Jobs gift packs and those for my winners too. After claiming our gift packs we went to have a simple pasta and pizza meal at Pizza Hut for we got hungry waiting for some of my winners to arrive. 

Here is Tatay and Lili.. This was while we were waiting for our order..

It was raining outside so we opted to have soup..

And of course some garlic bread to go with our pasta..

Over all, Lili was happy, Tatay was too.. Me and Sweet, well, more than happy.. hahaha.. 

Dining with Tatay saves us twenty percent of the tab.. hahaha, Thank God for his Senior Citizen ID..

Was About To Print Them..

I was about to print personal cards, but then I got an invitation for a very inviting job somewhere out of the country. Don't Tell Mom..

My mom likes cashmere sweaters so I am thinking of buying her a new one days before the Simbang Gabi will start. The midnight mass starts on the sixteenth so I would probably have it prepared by the fourteenth of December. That way, she will be wearing a new sweater for the Simbang Gabi.Hmm. Now I am confused as to what color to get her. I saw this really nice light brown cashmere that would best match most of her outfits for Simbang Gabi. But I also wanted to choose something bold and lively, like RED.. Oh I dunno.. Anyway, I still have two months to go.. I will decide when I will finally buy one for her..

Shhh.. It's gonna be a secret, so don't tell my mom.. hahaha

Tough Jobs Awards..

 

I met with one of  the winners for my blog contest during the Search for the Toughest Jobs in July, and I am so happy she met with me at Watson's at SM after work, to get her Alaxan Package, and where I have also awarded her the package sent by Tough Jobs Philippines for the awarding.

Auntie Irma's Maja Blanca

This is perhaps, the best Maja Blanca I have ever tasted. It's creamy and just right. Not too sweet and definitely not bland. You can taste real sweet corn as well as the cheese cubes in it and on top of it..
Soo yummy..And she only makes them on special occasions..

My cousin is a Lady Gaga fan. He would listen to all her CDs the whole day, and watch her videos the whole time. My golly. I wonder if he is also looking for lady gaga tickets for her undying concerts.If my cousin is only bold enough, and gay enough, I swear, he'd be wearing the Lady Gaga fashion too. hahaha..

I am not exaggerating, it's just that too much Lady Gaga makes one gaga already.. Whew. For now, he has all her albums, her posters and clothes with Lady Gaga's face---- I wonder what more he'd collect...

For Kids Only..

When I was in high school, it had become a habit for me and my best friend, and fellow Citizens Army Training officer, to hike from our school campus at RER to the gate of RER phase 2, from where we catch a ride in going home. Along the way, we would stop by the playground of RER and would take a snack and sit by the swing which was attached to a steel frame. On one occasion, however, that said swing was replaced by a wooden swing set, and a sign was placed that said: "For Kids Only".. To that we laughed and instead of taking our snack from there, we sat by the see-saw.

Remember those days is quite fun, just thinking about it. We were fourth year then, yet we were like graders when we stayed at the playground.

Crying over Fantine's Goodbye

I saw this video on you tube today and I was really crying while watching this. It is after all too difficult for a mother to leave behind the child she loves very much. I wonder how many more Jean Val Jean will have to take care of how many Cossettes in this world. 

Anyway, I couldn't help but think about Fantine and her death scene in Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. We are actually on our way to the car shop to see my father's technician as the car exhaust is acting crazy again. But I am still in a state of mourning for Fantine, lol.. Seriously, that is how I deal with what I see. It pains me a lot to see scenarios like that. I can not imagine any parent to be stone hearted to be unfeeling and insensitive. Well, perhaps ONLY responsible parents would feel like this. Irresponsible parents will do anything and everything to rid themselves of responsibility towards their children. Monsters who would undeniably leave behind a great responsibility in order to satisfy personal wonderment and pleasure. 

Having watched the video makes me want to stay and be wit Lili till she finishes school, but then again, being the sole provider, I must do anything and everything to make her achieve what she wants to achieve in life. My parents have done that for me, and now that I am a parent, it's time I do it for my daughter. After all, she is my responsibility and I love her very much. When you are a mom, you will really look at the best interest of your child. It's not that I will leave my child to be with a man who is in hiding from authorities or something like that, as I know of someone who is, lol.. Kidding aside, I will leave her with good responsible people who loves her too.. I know she will be protected from all the monsters that want to plague our lives with their selfishness and ill intentions. And she will achieve greater heights because of all our support and my sacrifices.. So yay! I see a bright future ahead for Lili.. And no goodbyes actually, as she will be visiting me there from time to time..

Home Projects

My father wants me to give up the Orange house. And I guess I have no choice but to agree with him. Why? Because I have spent so much in repairs and the house itself is not anymore practical to maintain. There is no more point in getting the bathroom suites fixed as I am leaving soon anyway. 

I wanted to keep it even when I have already left for my out of the country teaching stint, but  again, it would not be a practical move. I guess my next home project is the home itself. My mom told me that I should just buy a brand new house through PAGIBIG fund rather than keep renting the Orange House which is all worn and needy for repairs. And I see their point as much as I see what lies ahead. I just can't sacrifice my money just to help the owner of the house go through life.. On second thought, I love it there. I like the privacy and the open space as well as the trees and the independence. But then again, I wouldn't be living in it anyway, as I would be out of the country. Whew.. I am still confused. Although a part of me has already done with deciding whether to give it up or not.. Oh well, I have to decide fast as I will be out by October..

My friend Joy invited me to go withthem at the Mantianak Botanical Garden and Zoological Park in Sugbong Cogon, Misamis Oriental. They have the tigers shown in photo. I am also excited to let Lili and River see them as well as all the other animals.

Swimming..

We had a fun slumber party at the Middleton Apartelle. Well, actually, it's a family bonding with the Aguilar family. My cousins and I, with our parents and kids had fun swimming. I guess it's better than a night out with friends who go to a casino, gambling or a night with drinking buddies. We had fun last night and in the morning, we continued swimming.. Lili and River loved the water and didn't want to come up, even as we were about to leave.

When we reached home, they still wanted to swim, and swim they did in the bathroom.. hehehe
