Water Crisis, Another Typhoon Needed?

This is a video I found at You Tube, of Angat Dam, a concrete water reservoir embankment hydroelectric dam, and the foremost supplier of water in the Manila metropolitan area. It was a part of the Angat-Ipo-La Mesa water system.. It also irrigates about 27,000 hectares of rice land in the Bulacan areas, and provides a flood control function that benefit several municipalities in Bulacan. (wiki Pilipinas and wikipedia)

These days, there had been a water crisis in Manila as the water level of the Angat Dam has not reached its normal level to fully supply Manila. As a matter of fact, people in affected areas have become violent just to get ahead in the line to get water as they have not had water for 3-4 days. And water is very much important. People would rather lose electricity, but not water. We use it for preparing and cooking food, washing ourselves and our clothes, and many others. However, according to PAGASA people interviewed for the news, 2-3 typhoons are needed to fill it up and reach the normal level to be able to give the Metro its needed water supply. Another typhoon like Ondoy which devastated the country previously. Gosh, that must be a shocker! But, if it's all that it needs, then there's really nothing we can do but be prepared for it..

I just hope there is a much better alternative...

Saved by The Light

On Monday, a student of mine went home soaked in the rain. Apparently, classes didn't push through because the classrooms at the second year building were flooded. So with the cancellation of classes, students went home earlier. But because of the heavy rain, the place where my student lives was so dark and when she was about to walk past the Banana Trees, she said she heard male voices following her. Good thing there was a car which turned on its head lights. What a marvelous job the car's hid kits have done. It has protected my student from almost getting in danger.. Praise God and this student's faith in Him.. 

So today, she told me all about the experience and said that she never felt God's hand protect her more than that very cold and rainy night.. How about you? How did Monday go? If you ask me, I was just here at home as I couldn't go out due to the flooded street.. Anyway, I am glad she is all better now. I am sure it will be one of her most unforgettable experiences in life..

Anything to be beautiful..

A lot of people tend to judge others by looks, and by whatever physical asset that can be seen, heard or touched that may somehow compliment ones looks. I guess that is also the reason why most people, even if they do not have money anymore, would still splurge on the unnecessary stuff. Well, they may be unimportant for some of us, but for them, they are important. Like, a guy or gal who has not finished college but has lots of money, no skill, no talent, not good looking and no star quality appeal, would always opt to buy expensive stuff for himself or herself. Fill his or her body with expensive jewelries and wear signature items. That is because the said expensive stuff would make him feel better about herself, or himself. Some would even opt for plastic surgery plano services to remove or enhance whatever is necessary. All in the name of beauty.. Everything to be beautiful.. But then, if some people are like that, I think others also do other ways to be beautiful. Exercise, diet, and all others. Whatever may work, that shall be done. But still, there are others, who need not do anything because they feel that life is enough and they are contented and happy as they are, as their lives are lived... 

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. No matter how you work to make someone like your physical asset, if they are not into you, they will never be into you. Just as people will never appreciate whatever asset you have if you do not mean anything to them. Still, there are others who will appreciate and stand by you when they have something that they can get from you. But once they no longer find you useful, they will disappear like smoke.. That is quite sad, but it happens to so many people.. 

I believe that when one is happy, he or she will look and feel beautiful.. That's the kind of beauty that transcends and is never expensive.. for  happiness is not found in material wealth, nor in the physical. It is within each one of us.. And when one is happy, it shows.. It makes people do more good things that all the more makes people more beautiful..

He was taken away by a woman who pretended to be an aunt. The yaya said the said 'aunt' befriended her and told her that she is the sister of her amo. Where have all the Vachevals gone???..

Have you ever seen an extraordinary creature that is quite rare, no history could even track down its existence?

The video above is of a Vacheval, a mix between a horse and a cow, which was shot in 1963. Previously, this was an unseen report footage from Belgique Television, and it speaks about the story of the strange animal you see on video. Although it was reared on a farm just outside Leuven in Belgium, and was reared as a new form of CO2 reducing transportation. Hmm.. I wonder if we can still have it these days. No one really knows whether they actually exist today. Rumors has it, that they all now live on a special retreat in the Alps. Other people report that they all fled Europe in search of jobs. With little or no known record of their existence, no one knows what actually happened to the Vacheval..

Well, maybe one day, if they do really exist or if they really have existed, some real records would surface to guide as as to how or what happened to the Vacheval.. I guess if someone out there can make the truth surface, it will be supported by evidence and not just a simple video..
