RENT A CAR

When my aunt visited my uncle and his family in London, she had herself rent a car. It was the most economical thing to do for her to explore the city and the countryside without spending so much. Not to mention the fact that it was just a click away. With my cousin's help, she was led to www.easycar.com, where she was able to make a transaction online. According to her, car hire Luton is very much handy. What she liked was the fact that there was an option for her to return her rented car to a different location. Take the case for example, if your point of sales is at Barcelona, with car hire barcelona and you wish to return it in Glasgow through car hire Glasgow, or at Leeds, through car hire Leeds, then you won't have much of a problem. You don't have to turn back and have your rented car returned from where you got them. That's a value for your time and money.

My aunt said she was having fun the whole time and she never worried about the car she rented. She even had my cousin return the car she rented instead of her doing it herself when she left for the Philippines.

Here in Cagayan de Oro, we also have our rent a car services. In fact most hotels and restaurants have contacts when their customers require one. The difference is that, these rent a car services that we have do not have a website yet for easy and fast online transactions, and worst, once you rent a car from a specific branch, the one who rented the car should personally see to it that the rented car is returned to the right branch...

Anyway, if you guys are interested with the services I mentioned, simply visit the website of easycar.com, and find out how you can enjoy fully a wide array of experience from all points of the United Kingdom by simply driving through each city....Oh, by the way, their service is available all over the world, you simply have to visit their website for a quote or two... You simply have to type in where you are going and all other details of your trip, and VOILA! You are all set for a very cost effective and environment friendly ride...

BIRTH & THE CHILD'S RIGHTS

This is a repost from my other blog, EMPOWERED MOM... Just thought I should share this here...

I actually got this photo from a friend's friendster account. A picture of her first time to assist in another woman's giving birth... It is always an amazing event, the actual experience of witnessing BIRTH... Amazing how a vagina spreads out to let out a new life that has waited months for his or her first day on the outside world... As a mother, it was really amazing how a new life comes out from your very own body... All the pain and the cramps and the nine months of having the baby inside you can not compare to that very moment the baby comes out... A miracle indeed... I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful, intelligent and beautiful daughter... What more can I ask for...

Eve Ensler, the author of the world's most controversial, provocative (and I should say women's spiritual rediscovery of the world of womanhood...) book, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, have written a very wonderful monologue about the Vagina and Giving Birth... It is called, "I WAS THERE"...

A new life that comes out in this world deserves all good that we can give... Love, Security, Peace, A Name, Education, A future--- everything that is stipulated in THE RIGHTS OF A CHILD... I hope all parents will stand up for their children and give them the life that they deserve...

Thanks PEPPERMAYO of IN MY PSYCHE for being the first to comment on this post... THanks deary...

CATHOLIC CHAT

In this season of Lent, my friends at the Catholic Chat City are also busy with all the necessary activities to commemorate the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. From Monday's to today's activities, everyone is busy. But of course, since the Internet has always been a part of our lives, be it during busy days and idle times, we still get in touch. What I specifically like is that online, I still have people to share with me God's words and wisdom that uplift my soul and keeps me afloat amidst adversities and tribulations that come.

It is indeed a very good idea to have signed up for the site. I am thankful and I am blessed for the friends that I have met there.

If I am to compare it with the other chat sites I have joined and signed up to, I find it more personal and spiritually beneficial for me. It's like having my own spiritual back up online, lol...

If you wish to join too, visit the site today... Click on www.catholicchatcity.com, and sign up is FREE...

I LOVE MERYL STREEP...

I love Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia... I love the way she sung this song... You can really feel the soul of the song through her interpretation and rendition of this song.... I can actually feel the pain in the song... shhh... Makes me want to shout... HAHAHA....

Anyway, about the lyrics... I could relate about the not wanting to talk and the hurt and stuff about pain and losing, but I always believe that no matter how much it hurts, if we lose, we also win in the process... God has all the reasons why He allows for us to lose. In this process we build ourselves by simply picking ourselves from where we have fallen.... Coming out stronger and far better than who you used to be... Never mind the winner, for sooner or later, you will also realize that it was better off.... That you have not lost after all.... And that, sometimes, people are not worth all that we want to give them... And it's NOT you who have lost, but them... For they do not see your worth as a person...

Enjoy the video:

See the lyrics below:

THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL...

I don't wanna talk
About the things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me
Now it's history
I've played all my cards
And that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play

The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
That's her destiny

I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules

The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
It's simple and it's plain
Why should I complain?

But tell me does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed

The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all

I don't wanna talk
Cos it makes me feel sad
And I understand
You've come to shake my hand
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all

The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all

The winner takes it all

FIRST COMMENT from Trixie of IT'S A GIRL THING... Thanks Deary...

For Your Love by Ed Townsend.

I am watching Ally Mcbeal now and this song was repeatedly played/sung in the background... Just wanna share with you this song... Don't you think it's nice? Sorry I can't find the video to match, just the lyrics...enjoy...

For Your Love

For your love, oh, I would do anything
I would do anything, for your love.

For your kiss (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh),
Oh, I would go anywhere (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
I would go (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh),
Anywhere, for your kiss.

More foolish I grow with each heartbeat,
But we all get foolish, that's why I repeat.
For your love (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh),
Oh, I would do anything (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh)
I would do anything, for your kiss.

I would do anything, for your love (anything, anything, anything)
For your love (ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ooh).

Also, sharing with you here a survey from Dneero...

VALUES EDUCATION DEPT. MEETING

I would have wanted to post this weeks ago, but I was not able to create my slideshow... Now that it's here, sharing it with you now. We were at the Bacolod Chicken Inasal and had our luncheon meeting. It was supposedly the last for the school year. We had a complete attendance, without Mrs. Valdez of course since I am substituting for her... It was fun... Well, since most of the slide show are the food we had during the luncheon meeting, then I am making this post my entry for YUMMY SUNDAY... The food we had were really yummy...

Thanks SARAH of Bacolod and Beyond for being the first to comment on this post...

A SPECIAL GIFT...

My father came by the orange house hours ago and dropped off a large box containing his favorite exercise machine. Oh boy, another box to open and put away.... He and my mother had been trying to talk me into exercising using the exercise gadgets and machines we have at home but I simply brush the idea aside because I do not have the time. Or so I tell them... Now that I am staying here at the orange house, my father made it a point to deliver the machine for my use...what an idea! lol... At least now I can not say NO to them, hehehe...

My father's doctor advised him to do a 30 minute walk using his treadmill, every day and surprisingly, he did lost the pounds. That's why my father is a believer that his treadmill will work wonders for me also. Looking at the box now make me wonder if it will ever be effective for me. Hmmm... I guess if I have the will and determination, I will. Just like before. I lost weight because I was determined to shed the pounds. But on the contrary, losing weight was never an option for me. It was not even an idea that came to my mind. I just went with the flow.. Imagine walking towards the office for a kilometer because we were forced to walk, and of course, walking from the office for another kilometer mainly because there was no transportation that is allowed to enter the area where our office was located. It was dreadful at first, but with my lady boss's convincing powers at eating healthy meals during lunch, I was transformed into the body that everyone wanted me to have...hahaha... at least for a short while... hahaha...

And now, with the gift from my father, I am thinking about It real hard... It's about time!!! And I don't mind transforming myself again... It's never too late to live a healthy life.... Well, what do you think?

THE GIVING TREE

I shared this with my DANIEL kids during our farewell chitchat, and they seemed touched with the comparison with their parents and their roles as parents someday...

I hope they will turn out well when they reach the age of maturity...

HEALTH INSURANCE

All of us should be concerned with having a good health insurance. At least now that we are still healthy and able to pay up for one. Some people think it unwise to get one but I say it should be a priority for we never really know what happens in our lives. No matter how much we try to live a healthy life, things come up unexpectedly... Don't you agree? So here I am looking into health insurances online and I found a lot. Here's one particular insurance that caught my attention.

Have you heard of Kaiser Health Insurance? I read online that it is a "business-to-consumer" insurance agency delivering Web-based insurance information to all individuals, families and small businesses who may need insurance information. It's integrated suite of online services help in facilitating a comprehensive search and review of all leading insurance plans. It also provides objective information to all consumers and small business owners, thereby helping them in making informed decisions about their insurance needs. Anyway, if you wish to avail of said insurance, better get in touch with anyone from
Kaiser Permanente, which is America's largest non-profit health maintenance organization, that currently serves 8.4 million members in 9 states and the District of Columbia. Their service is available to all California, Colorado & Georgia residents. When in California, that's Kaiser Permanente California to get in touch with... Kaiser Permanente Colorado in Colorado and Kaiser Permanente Georgia in Georgia...

If you wish to know more better visit their website at
www.ekaiserinsurance.com and find out for yourself...

LET PROCTOR FOR THE DAY...

I had everything typed yesterday but was not able to publish them so I guess I am gonna be editing them today... Just had my Internet transferred from the old address of Honeysweet to this new one-- The Orange House...

So yesterday, I wrote...

"I just arrived from proctoring the LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS, and I am so so tired... whew... what a long day for me... but it was a good day. I met new friends and the experience has given me another dimension in the face of teaching...and Education in general...

Although I must tell you, there are good and bad sides in this realizations. But most importantly, the good and the bad made me think harder and deeper as to the role I play as a teacher. The vocation I have chosen is rather a very serious one. I am responsible whether a child makes it or breaks it... although, I always think it as a shared effort with the parents and guardians of the said child."

To continue....

This vocation starts the day a teacher chooses to be a teacher. But I hope one decides to become a teacher when teaching has chosen him/her... That way, the person is really cut for the job...By far, during the LET, I have seen that not all of those who are taking the board exams are fit to become teachers. Some of them, NO, most of them, do not know how to follow instructions... let alone READ the instructions... so what do you expect will happen to kids who will be under their supervision???

I just can't imagine the future with teachers like that... What kind of teachers will they become if they do not know how to follow simple instructions??? And what kind of students will they be breeding??? Get my point???

Anyway, as for my Zarelle, for as long as Mommy Darling is alive and kicking, then, she is assured of an extra hand at education... after all, we, mothers are the best teachers for our kids...

As for proctoring for LET next time, whew... I don't know... maybe I will, maybe I won't proctor again... I'll cross the bridge when I get there... ahahaha... It was just a fun and tiring day all in one...

Oh before I end, let me tell you something that's good during the LET. PRC and DEPED had this partnership of soliciting from the examinees and donating used pencils, erasers, rulers and everything that the LET Examinee used during the exam that he or she wishes to donate for the children in the far flung barangays of Misamis Oriental. And guess what all 22 examinees in our room donated their used materials...Isn't that sweet???

Well, maybe they are kindhearted teachers to be... I just hope they do not become too kind in giving the grades...pictures to follow....gotta end here now as I still have boxes to unload...

"The things that people in love do to each other, they remember, and if they stay together, it's not because they forget, it's because they forgive."

3 DAY SALE @ SM CAGAYAN DE ORO

I read from other blogger's blogs that there is a mall-wide 3 day sale at SM Cagayan de Oro City from April 3-5 and it will be extended until April 6, from 10 am-10 pm. Avail of discounts up to 50 % off!

Hmm... I am the SALE person, but the place is not so attractive for me now... As much as possible, I do not wish to step inside SM... I think most of you know the reason... but not quite! Hehehe.. I am not hiding from anyone...

I am simply busy now with moving out of the old address of Honeysweet... Before April 8, we should be done... and I just finished the documents yesterday at MOGCHS so it means, it is only today that I can breathe... tomorrow I am proctoring for the Licensure Examination for Teachers to be held at MOGCHS, so in short...

Falling in Love... by Pedro Arrupe, SJ

I got this really nice inspiring poem from THE HAPPY GIRL, and I am sharing it here now...

Falling in Love
Pedro Arrupe, SJ

Nothing is more practical than finding God,
that is, than falling in love
in a quite absolute, final way.

What you are in love with,
what seizes your imagination,
will affect everything.
It will decide what will get you
out of bed in the morning,
what you will do with your evenings,
how you spend your weekends,
what you read, who you know,
what breaks your heart,
and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in love; stay in love,
and it will decide everything.

I am simply touched and inspired by such simple yet truthful words and the meaning they conveyed...

CAR INSURANCE

Funny how people can get so worried about not having enough money these days. Take for example our friend and neighbor, Stanley, who keeps complaining about his car insurance. I sometimes get tired hearing his complaints. But of course, a good friend will always listen regardless whether you still want to hear more, or shove something up your friend's mouth if you simply want him or her to shut up...lol... But, I choose the former..wink..wink...

Anyway, in terms of insurances, before we ever sign up for any, we have to make sure that we are signing up to a good and reliable company. Because, when the need arises, we will always be certain that a good and reliable company will never falter, let alone, fail us in our need.

Online, if you wish to save more money, simply visit www.carinsuranceqt.com, and see for yourself. It is always a good idea to have insurance quotes first prior to signing up for an insurance. And the site provides that service apart from car loans and all other deals pertaining to cars and vehicles. The best thing is, it's just a click away. So guys, visit the site today.

the miracle...

I got this from my friend Dada Mirandilla through email today...made me cry.. There are so many Miracles in our lives... we just have to acknowledge them...

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on  the floor and counted it carefully. Three times, even. The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in  the jar and twisting on the cap, she
slipped  out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to  Rexall's Drug Store with the big red Indian  Chief sign above the door.

She waited  patiently for the pharmacist to give her  some attention, but he was too busy at this moment.
Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat with the most disgusting sound she could  muster. No good Finally she took a quarter  from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of voice. I'm talking to my brother fromChicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he said without waiting for a reply to his  question.

'Well, I want to talk to  you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's really, really sick ... and I want to
buy a miracle.'

'I  beg your pardon?' said the pharmacist.

'His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now So how much does a miracle cost?'

'We don't  sell miracles here, little girl.  I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.

'Listen, I have  the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I  will get the rest. Just tell me how much it costs..'

The pharmacist's brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a miracle does your brother need?'

'I  don't know,' Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my  money.'

'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago

'One dollar and eleven cents,' Tess
answered barely audibly.

'And it's all the money I have, but I can get some more if I need to.'

'Well, what a coincidence,' smiled  the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact  price of a miracle for little brothers. '

He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want to  see your brother and meet your parents. Let's  see if I have the miracle you need.'

That well dressed man was Dr. Carlton  Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.

Mom and  Dad were happily talking about the chain of  events that had led them to this place.

'That surgery,' her Mom whispered.  'was a real miracle. I wonder how
much it would have cost?'

Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost..one dollar and eleven cents....plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.

I know you'll keep the ball moving!

Being goth is just an expression. That's what I found out. As a matter of fact, while I was chatting Sally and her friends, they are all like any other people. Oh well, we may be one and the same on this Earth, so why discriminate right?

With Sally and her pals, I feel a very good connection of intellect and wisdom and soul. I like chatting with them. So if you wIsh to join us, visit the site.
Goth Singles are not the only ones welcome there. Every one is, as a matter of fact... lol..

So, see you all there guys...

LAST DAY...

My last day at MOGCHS was yesterday. Today, I feel so tired since today I am bombarded with a lot of students drowning me with clearance forms plus the deadline of the forms to be submitted.

I also feel that I will be missing my kids.. My very makulit and noisy kids of the 3rd year Daniel... I will be missing them so much...

Anyway, tired as I am today, I still had to face them with a cheerful disposition. I may be with them again next year or not, I know I have done something for them...

May the good Lord bless them and enlighten them...And lastly, I pray that their path be lit with wisdom always...

No sad goodbyes, just, see you again next school year???...hopefully...

BULALO...

This is Bulalo. A stew made with a beef shank bone.

When we were in college, we used to drink, my friends and I.. Well, not heavy drinkers really... but when we feel we have had too much drinks, we simply go someplace else to order this soup...

And mind you, this soup really is something... what with the hot soup and the conversations we've had while devouring the meat on the bone, ahahaha...

I miss those days...

But hey, who says Bulalo is limited to that purpose only? We can have Bulalo anytime, as there lots of restaurants here that serve good Bulalo... It's the company that I miss... mainly because, some of them are no longer with us...

So guys, cheers to you, and a bowl of Bulalo to go...

FIRST COMMENT from Kcatwoman of FILIPINA WRITES and KCATWOMAN... Thanks Deary...

SEXY LINGERIE

Are you wearing a sexy lingerie right now? I am... lol... I just got myself a pair of orange sexy lingerie from my Aunt Irma's catalogue... Well, technically, I bought them last week and Aunt Irma gave me a discount... whoopee... I am wearing them now because I would have been wearing my very lovely dress for the graduation of our fourth year students at the Atrium right now. But unfortunately, I am here in school finishing my documents...I am just online now for a breather... break time is good... blogging is a good break, lol...

Anyway, why do we have to have at least one sexy lingerie in our wardrobe? Well, here's a tip that I would very much like to share with you guys and gals... Having a sexy lingerie as part of your wardrobe is a good source of confidence booster. Wearing one exudes confidence and beauty. Trust and believe me when I say that whenever I feel down and blue, I buy myself a pair of sexy lingerie or two.. hahahaha... it's like shopping for a new dress or a new set of make up, you know... But with sexy lingerie, it's comfort and beauty underneath... well, technically...

Whenever I am to face important people or whenever I attend important functions, I wear one... underneath my power attire... hahaha... whether it's a business suit for a business meeting or an evening wear for a formal function, or any clothing I feel most comfortable with...

Anyway, online, I have a favorite website to see sexy lingerie. Styles and comfort and even romantic pieces to enhance love life....with just a click, voila! All exciting pieces are before your very eyes... do visit www.flirtylingerie.com, and see them for yourself.

What I specifically like is that they have everything there, whether you are skinny or voluptuous like me... So all sexy ladies, visit their site now...

FIRST COMMENT from Chubskulit of ETCETERA ETCETERA and ROSE'S OBSTACLES & GLORIES... Thanks Deary....

WEBSITE HOSTING

I am still in need of more information about website hosting. Mommy Ruby of Pinay Mommy Online have been very helpful about these matters and recommended that I visit webhostinggeeks.com to know more about website hosting.

At webhostinggeeks.com, one can find independent reviews of the best web hosting providers all over the world. We can also find cheap professional web hosting services for under $10 monthly, including all webhosting plans that includes at least one free domain name registration. What's more, we can also find sites that give a 30 day money back guarantee. Pretty amazing huh???

We can also review our web host and let other webmasters know the best and the worst...and of course, we get information as to reviews provided by others.

I am so happy to have visited the site. Now I know where to get such important information... Thank God for webhostinggeeks.com, indeed a blessing...

ON PAPER WORKS...

I have not finished my documents yet. Need to revise so many things...ugh!!! I need to do additional paper works since there are reports that I did not know needed to be added to my reports..UGH!!!!

Whew...

My students helping me with the checking said they had been helping their teachers since their second year and they all said that a teacher's job is really difficult... Well, it wouldn't be this difficult if the papers were done monthly... I needed to finish those that I have not even touched...But hey, I am not complaining okay... It's just that, if all teacher's motto is "Do what you can do while they can be done.." Well, sure enough, the job could have been done on time...

Anyway, I will be done soon...

Praise God as he is good all the time...

NOT FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS...

A lot of my students have been going back and forth with their requirements for the signing of clearances. In my subject alone, a single student will be seeing me five to six times, however, whenever I return the required to be accomplished and completed, not a single mistake is corrected. It seems  that these kids are thinking that I do not check their work. Contrary to what is expected, I do. And that is why I return their work for them to correct.

It is very sad to know that most of these kids are thinking that a mediocre output is OKAY... for the sake of passing, for the sake of the clearances signed, for the sake of getting a passing mark...

If all students are like that, what will happen to the future??? Hmmm...

PHONE 007

Have you ever experienced being harassed by people and feel no way of knowing who these people are? Don't you ever wish you have a detective to do the searching for you? Or, would you rather have a special gadget to help you with the search?

If you ask me, I choose to have my own gadget. At least I get to control the flow of the searching process, or better yet, the "bugging" process, ahehehe, the legal way, that is,  lol...That way too, I would feel like I am the detective searching for clues and getting the raw information for my own consumption and analysis. Hahaha... Whether it's Catching a cheating husband, or Catching a cheating wife or, for Teenager parental control  and even Long distance baby monitoring, it's possible with this gadget. And hey, I did not just dream it, it actually exists. I just saw it at www.purplegoods.com, and mind you, it really is a good idea.

So how does it work?

Well, it starts with a very special telephone with built-in recording functions, that allows any user to record phone conversations, including ambient sound in Phone-007 system.

The phone looks and works like an ordinary phone, but it has the capability to record every call made on the phone without the user user knowing it. It can also record ambient sound such as funny noise or conversations near the phone, so amazingly enough, you can be given more clues as to who or what is around the environment of the person harassing you. The recording will start when ambient sound volume is above the threshold level set by user. The ambient sound can be recorded even when the phone is in use or not in use. And once the recording starts, the user will get notified immediately by email, text message, or phone call based on user’s setting. And take note, while the recording is going on, the user can listen in by either picking up the notification phone call and eavesdropping right away, or calling the local access number from any phone. In addition to eavesdropping in real time, the user can log in to hear all the prior recording sessions through browser. Amazing huh? The service uses state of the art technologies to keep user’s recordings and personal information safe. The said calls and recordings are encrypted before it is transmitted over the Internet, and is monitored 24x7 to make sure the service is always up and running and user’s data is secure at all time.

Woohoo... I really love this gadget... I think this is very useful in my case right now...lol... Thank God for PHONE 007....

EARTH HOUR @ CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY

Last Saturday, we attended the pinning ceremony of my cousin Lara at Liceo de Cagayan University. It was done at a quarter past seven. We hurriedly went someplace where we could have dinner, even with candle light, as the scheduled Earth Hour was at 8:30 to end at 9:30 pm. We decided to go to Cusina de Oro. We had the house specialty and had fun. Unfortunately, Earth Hour was not observed in the place.

SM Cagayan de Oro pledged to join, and according to my friends, they really did observed Earth Hour. So with Robinsons and of course, our very own Honeysweet Learning Center, lol... Well, I told Yencylen to close shop early for that...

Anyway, we had a text brigade inviting some friends to join Earth Hour in their homes, and gladly, most of them did observe Earth Hour. And with that, I am happy...

Go Go Go Mother Earth.... we are one with you...

By the way, below is a photo of Mangee, me and Lara... after the Pinning Ceremony...

JEWISH CHAT

I have just visited a site that enjoins any willing applicant for a Jewish Chat. Whether you are Jewish or not, you are most welcome to join, as sign up is free.

I like the first four people I met there. Kisha, Allana and Frida all proved to me that Jewish people are really worth knowing. Oh, and Kisha introduced me to her sisters and brother. As a matter of fact, I have communicated with her family like I am part of their family. See, I have now added new friends and a new family in my online network... And I have added new insights and learning. A new culture and tradition discovered.

Thanks so much www.jewishchatcity.com, I really appreciate everything...

MORE THAN JUST A GRADUATE...

The other day I have witnessed the graduation of my cousin Lara, B.S. Nursing, and my kumare, Lili's godmother Honey Balase, College of Law, as Liceo de Cagayan University had their 34th commencement exercises. It was a grand event for the school as it was the first time they had given an honorary degree to one of the country's top entrepreneur and politician, Manny Villar. But more than that, I feel for the parents who were sitting with us on the bleachers as they witness the graduation of their children, and themselves, graduating from financial constraints... hopefully...
I was once a graduate once, twice, many times...lol... I have had my share of graduations and every time I join the ceremonies, I am filled with awe and determination of what comes next. The ceremony is more than just a ceremony. It is but the turning point of each graduate's life... marking the end, and a new beginning.
I could not help but imagine myself being one of the parents and Lili, being one of the students graduating... whew.. that will be the day... but of course, it will still be a long wait... Like all mothers or any parent, who hopes for the best for their children, I am convinced that each graduate there is more than just a graduate, but each, a future awaiting to unfold...
