Lifetime Study Center K 1 PTA MEETING...

I almost forgot that this morning was Lili's and River's PTA meeting. Good thing that Bisa reminded me. I came in late, but the guard said they have just started so I didn't really miss anything. When I came up the room, Teacher Marissa asked me to introduce myself.. so that was what I missed.. hahaha.. Then we started with our meeting. The school rules and policies were discussed, activities per meeting, lessons, the school calendar and all others. When everything was discussed already we then proceeded to the election of PTA Officers. Only the President and the Vice President positions were voted on. And guess what? I was elected president, and Mrs. Agnes Briones as the Vice President. Hmmm... That means I should be more active in my daughter's school life... as I already am.. hahaha... wink.. wink..

Over Tea...

Margie arrived from the US three months ago but she went straight to Cotabato where her family resides. She is now in CDO to bond with the five of us, her barkadas (cliques) before she leaves for the US again. We have learned from her that when she was there, she has developed a taste for tea. And that she has already collected lots of blomus stainless steel teaset for the winter tea sessions with her friends there. That's actually how they fight the cold apart from the indoor heating system at her place. She also loves the blomus stainless steel fireplace set and the blomus stainless steel firepit that also helps during cold winter nights. All those winter talks make me feel cold, lol.. But of course, nothing is far better than sharing good memories during this time. Here in the Philippines, we have our own version of sitting by a campfire on a cold night drinking coffee or hot chocolate. But what we did is crazy. We had tea at her hotel room, the cold balcony witnessed and heard all our "catching up talk".. all the oohhhs and the ahhaas.. and the aaahhs... hehehe..

Catching up over tea is better than catching up over beer or hard liquor. At least we were sober all the time...lol... I miss those days when we simply sit by the canteen and munch a shared junk food, while we talked endlessly about anything and everything... Then those pajama nights at Kimmy's, Faye's or May's... Or the tutorials at our old house... The five of us really were crazy.. Then Faye went so far away... hmmm... Then we did not see each other for quite a long while... Next week, Margie is scheduled to visit her Aunts and Uncles in Cebu and from there, she will return to the US.. whew.. But of course, the Internet will connect us online for as long as we allow it..
