BIRTH & THE CHILD'S RIGHTS

This is a repost from my other blog, EMPOWERED MOM... Just thought I should share this here...

I actually got this photo from a friend's friendster account. A picture of her first time to assist in another woman's giving birth... It is always an amazing event, the actual experience of witnessing BIRTH... Amazing how a vagina spreads out to let out a new life that has waited months for his or her first day on the outside world... As a mother, it was really amazing how a new life comes out from your very own body... All the pain and the cramps and the nine months of having the baby inside you can not compare to that very moment the baby comes out... A miracle indeed... I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful, intelligent and beautiful daughter... What more can I ask for...

Eve Ensler, the author of the world's most controversial, provocative (and I should say women's spiritual rediscovery of the world of womanhood...) book, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, have written a very wonderful monologue about the Vagina and Giving Birth... It is called, "I WAS THERE"...

A new life that comes out in this world deserves all good that we can give... Love, Security, Peace, A Name, Education, A future--- everything that is stipulated in THE RIGHTS OF A CHILD... I hope all parents will stand up for their children and give them the life that they deserve...

Thanks PEPPERMAYO of IN MY PSYCHE for being the first to comment on this post... THanks deary...

CATHOLIC CHAT

In this season of Lent, my friends at the Catholic Chat City are also busy with all the necessary activities to commemorate the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. From Monday's to today's activities, everyone is busy. But of course, since the Internet has always been a part of our lives, be it during busy days and idle times, we still get in touch. What I specifically like is that online, I still have people to share with me God's words and wisdom that uplift my soul and keeps me afloat amidst adversities and tribulations that come.

It is indeed a very good idea to have signed up for the site. I am thankful and I am blessed for the friends that I have met there.

If I am to compare it with the other chat sites I have joined and signed up to, I find it more personal and spiritually beneficial for me. It's like having my own spiritual back up online, lol...

If you wish to join too, visit the site today... Click on www.catholicchatcity.com, and sign up is FREE...
