SALAMAT PO...

Congressman Klarex Uy had been very helpful to the members of the indigenous communities here in Region 10. My mother, who is in charge of the educational scholarship program for students/scholars belonging to the different tribal groups in the region along with her colleagues had a meeting with the congressman and the checks for the dependents and scholars were also given during the same day.

I remember, from the time my mother started getting busy with the educational scholarship projects in their office, NCIP, my sisters, Sweet and Honey and I would always help our mom with encoding reports and all other documents for documentation and reporting. There were also other congressmen in the region that supports educational projects and believe me, typing names of scholars is not a fun job since there were really many of them. So much entry to do. On the contrary, it makes me happy to know that the said entries are students who deserve a chance at life by being given the chance to go to school. So to Congressman Klarex Uy and all the others, on behalf of the tribal youth, MY HEART FELT THANKS...

I am not a scholar under this program, but I am a PROUD member of the MANOBO TRIBE. In fact I am 50% Manobo only, but still, I believe that my roots deserve recognition in the totality of my being... I hope one day I will learn all the Manobo Tribal ways and practices so I can teach the world and share the culture... One day that will be a reality...

THE PROMISES...

Moving further, one of the problems mentioned by my III-PSALMS is the problem of drug addiction and dependency, an example of which is cocaine addiction, and the most common among the street children, the use and abuse of "RUGBY"...

Hmmm, if only there is a solution to that problem here in the Philippines. If only we have treatment centers like the Promises Treatment Centers, which treats addiction to a variety of drugs and substances, which include Alcohol, Cocaine, Codeine, Heroin, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Oxycodone, and many others. It remained firmly rooted in the 12-Steps of treatment, and uses a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including psychiatry, counseling and psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, stress management strategies, holistic therapy and medically- monitored detox.

Although we have temporary shelters and treatments, but evidently, they are not as good as that of the Promises Treatment Centers. Do visit their website at www.addictioncocaine.info, and get to know more about the center.
