The Doggie's Share

We went to eat in a restaurant one time and my aunt asked the waiter for a plastic bag. I thought it was for the food that we were not able to finish, she smiled and told me she already told the waiter to have the unfinished foodies wrapped for take out. So I asked her what the plastic is for. She smiled again and told me that it is for the doggie's foodies. I smiled back.. and nodded my head.. yeah, the doggie's share.. lol...

Blame It On The Rain

When we moved here at the orange house, the ceiling at what used to be the music room (old set up by the house owner), has already been damaged. Totally damaged! It has something to do with the roof. The former tenants had made it worsen because they did not do anything about it. Well, they even left me with two months water and electric bills that I needed to pay for fear that they will be disconnected and we, as the new tenants, will be the ones to suffer. Hmm, I will perhaps blog about that some other time... Anyway, about the roof, I had it fixed. I couldn't help but worry about what a damaged ceiling from a damaged roof can do. Not to mention that most of the things here at the orange house are electronic and operate in electricity. So imagine if there is leak and the leak may point at a gadget or two... That will definitely be a disaster. The roofer that worked on the roof was telling me that I should check on the roof during the rainy season, and if there is leak during rainy days, I should inform him or his assistant for a back job. Many rainy days and nights later, I found out that there is indeed a portion that leaks. Unfortunately, the roofer and the assistant are unreachable now. I am not a happy client. They are so different from a Miami Roofer that I read online. They are complete opposites. See, most of the clients of the latter, are happy about their great jobs... Affordable and quality rolled into one.. The roofer that I hired? Expensive and very bad!!! Ugh!

HULA HOOP ANYONE?

When I was Lili's age, as my mom recounts, I was so good at playing the hula hoop. So one time, when Micah was yet at the Kumon (She has Math at KUMON, while she has English with me-- that's my forte, Conversational English for all levels), I had a chance to buy hula hoops for me and Zarelle. Well, technically, I was not supposed to be at Golden Bell to buy the hoops. I was supposed to drop by Ninin's law office while I wait for Micah to arrive but when I was near, Ninin and his mom were on his car and they were about to drive off somewhere. His mom said they are coming back so I should wait at the office for it won't be much longer till they return. I was in front of Golden Bell then so I just went inside before going to Ninin's office. And there, at the toy section I found the hoops. Immediately I bought two. I have been looking for hoops of this kind. Just like the one I had when I was Lili's age. And today, Lili and Bisa are playing the hoops... I just love looking at my little girl learn new things... and she's a fast learner... just like mommy... wink.. wink.. Would you like to try it too?

Thanks Mommy Phoebie of Love's Haven, for being the first to comment...

SHE WANTS A NEW FLOOR

My friend Marie, after the flash flood in CDO hit their home, have not been able to fix their flooring. Yeah, they cleaned the floor but the woodtiles are totally damaged. Hmmm. I wish she can benefit from the best services of Chicago Flooring, that would surely solve her problem. I know how bad it would feel to live in a house with damaged flooring. Not to mention the molds and mildew that has formed after it was submerged in water for quite a while. I know that no matter how much washing, the floor wont be the same as before it was damaged by the flood waters. See, we have relatives who have had the same experience. The floor is equally important as the roof of the house. Thus, we really need to take care of it also. If our floors are damaged, we should change them. Otherwise, it would be like walking on dirt and mud, no matter how much you try to clean them.

SOMEBODY...

I just love this song. This has been my favorite since high school... Depeche Mode has really been our favorite when this song came out. Very unlike of them to have a very slow love song at that. But we did, my classmates and I, enjoyed this very song. So here it is, the lyrics of "Somebody"

Somebody lyrics

I want somebody to share
Share the rest of my life
Share my innermost thoughts
Know my intimate details
Someone who'll stand by my side
And give me support
And in return
She'll get my support
She will listen to me
When I want to speak
About the world we live in
And life in general
Though my views may be wrong
They may even be perverted
She'll hear me out
And won't easily be converted
To my way of thinking
In fact she'll often disagree
But at the end of it all
She will understand me

I want somebody who cares
For me passionately
With every thought and with every breath
Someone who'll help me see things
In a different light
All the things I detest
I will almost like
I don't want to be tied
To anyone's strings
I'm carefully trying to steer clear
Of those things
But when I'm asleep
I want somebody
Who will put their arms around me
And kiss me tenderly
Though things like this
Make me sick
In a case like this
I'll get away with it.

SPAIN IN THE EYES OF CHASE: PART 1

My former student is now living in Spain for almost two years now. I chanced upon him on chat today and I am so happy that he is happy with his life. Well, who wouldn't? If you live in one of the grandest places on earth, you should. He said that every chance he gets, he explores Barcelona, and with such explorations, have found many more Filipinos in Spain. Gosh. We Filipinos really are survivors. We thrive almost anymore. We are able to adapt and live the life of the environment we live in. So anyway, I asked him about his life in Spain and he told me so many positive stories. I think the only not-so-good tale is the cost of living in Spain, which is quite high. But, culture wise, you will get your heart's desire in terms of beautiful places to visit, sites to see, heritage centers to go to and many others. So for you to be able to roam the city or the country, it is best to have your own car to do your rounds. Chase said that if one wants to see the sights, he or she will need a car. If you are in the Costa del Sol area, you will need car hire costa del sol to go around. There is also another way. It's cheaper and more affordable compared to other car hires. It has long been proven that car hire spain is more convenient for travelling within the region. What I specifically like is the fact that you can pick up your car at your starting point, then leave it in another city or country. Amazing isn't it?

Chase and I are not yet done chatting. We'll chat again about the wonderful places in Spain...

GHOST OR NOT?

Can you tell me what is that white thing on this pic? Some friends said it's a ghost having a photo shoot with Lili... But that's no ghost! That's Bisa Saldo, our house help... lol... She graduated from the Reflexology Workshop and enjoyed time posing with Lili and some classmates...

How did her image turn ghostlike? Do you know?

Well, my theory is that she moved so fast that's why it is what was captured by the cam...

Halloween Express is READY FOR HALLOWEEN...

I can't believe it. My gay friend, Gregory(Gregoria, lol...), sent me a slide show of pictures of him in different Halloween costumes. He said he got them from Halloween Express within Ventura County, California. Well, that's where he lived for almost a decade now. Oops! I didn't quite spill your age there, did I? lol... Anyway, I was really wondering why as early as now he is already preparing for the Halloween. When he was here, he would dress up often even in a simple gathering. And when he would join Miss Gay contests, he would usually win over the other contestants because of the fascinating costumes he has prepared to wear. So it is confirmed, he is preparing himself for the coming Halloween contests. He said he can get the costumes cheaper this season compared to the actual date. Yeah, that is really a wise decision. He said he has been shopping at Halloween Express because of the trendy lines of costumes that are quite unique. Plus, there are outfits for anyone, including pets... Yippee... From slim to plus size ladies and gents, kids and adults alike can avail of the summer offerings. Halloween Express have other branches aside from that at the Ventura County. They are located at Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Well, if you guys wanna join my friend in his shopping spree, do visit the website at www.halloweenexpress.com and get to know the latest finds...

By the way, Gregory has been insistent on inviting me to go and visit him. And with all the great things he has said about Ventura County, I sure would love to go... then I shall be able to witness his glorious reign again... Go GREGORY....

THE HAIR CUT...

My sister Sweet always teased me that I am just making Zarelle my Guinea pig while I practice on my cosmetology skills. Well, that is partly true. But the reason why I had to cut her hair personally is because it saves me a lot of money. I did mention that in a previous post about this new haircut, right?

I mean, I have the skill, why not use it? I don't get paid for it since my customer is my own daughter, but the praise and satisfaction of a little girl [who seems to agree with everybody who said that she looks like Gretchen Barretto with her new hair] is something.

Now, as to the hair, you be the judge if I did it right or not.

CAR TITLE LOANS

One of the things the sportsdad and I discussed earlier was about the Car Title Loans that one with a car is able to get. We were discussing how to earn extra now that we are facing a financial need as the new school year is about to start. Who gave him an idea? Well he has friends who did just that. Had their cars on loan with only their car titles as guarantee. No hassle, no problems, no extra strains... Tim, his friend in the US told him also about Car Title Loans Hayward and Car Title Loans Sacramento. Which are both very helpful.
That just makes loans very easy to get and easy to pay up.

HEALTHY MORNING

I had orange juice this morning. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Squeezed by my bare hands...

Well, I do not have a juicer here at the orange house so I had to improvise. One orange is all I needed anyway. After squeezing right into the glass, I took the liberty of drinking a cold orange juice. yum..yum.. Cold because the orange came right from the fridge. No sugar, no ice. All natural... Wowowee...

Anyway, I am looking forward to having a glass OF ALL NATURAL ORANGE JUICE everyday. I felt better after having just a glass. My daughter would have loved it too but she is at the yellow house. She does not eat much fruits, but she likes drinking juice.

Cars, Cars, Cars

Hanson loved the BMW videos that we saw online. He also loved the Jaguar videosas well as the Honda videos. My friend can't seem to live without seeing a car or driving one, lol..

No wonder women flock over him because they simply could not resist him with his cars. The hot red Honda is what he likes to use to cruise around town these days, but the yellow racer always gives him the kick.

Hanson is even planning to buy a new one. Orange and screaming gorgeous for the girls.. hahaha

ME AND MARYJEAN... AFTER ALL THESE YEARS...

I was looking at the pictures from the recent graduation of Reflexology, Nursing and Caregiving Workshops of the Lady of Fatima Foundation Clinic, and I saw this picture of me and Mary Jean. My groupmate, classmate (...and drinking buddy during group studies in college, shhh... don't tell my mom... ) and barkada (peer)...

Our smiles are still the same... We may have aged a bit, but that is a reality for all, but looking at our smile, I could definitely say that me and my friend have triumphed over the obstacles of each of our lives.

Oh, and we're still pretty...the two of us... Hahaha...

LET'S KEEP OUR HOMES SAFE...

Have you heard of the latest craze? I read somewhere that a wireless security system is now ready to test the Philippine Market. Believe it or not, most "Balikbayans" (Filipinos who are returning in the Philippines for a period of time) are now anxious to set up security systems in their newly bought homes at the posh villages and subdivisions in the city.

Why is this? Well, as you all know, it has become the trend of robbers to go inside houses and take whatever they can take -money, jewelries, cellular phones, and many others. So why wait when that would happen to you when you can almost immediately get a system for your home's protection?

I remember, before we had plenty of dogs that shoo unwanted guests. We even had our house set in a manner that is difficult for robbers to drop by. But, as I said earlier, it is difficult to trust your ordinary protection set up. Robbers are robbers and they will not stop until they get what they want... YOUR POSSESSIONS! Your hard earned personal belongings...

Anyway, in the site, I saw many kinds of gadgets and many different packages that would really help you get protection depending on your budget. I went through the site as if I know everything. lol... But technically, I was able to understand "protection" better...

And if you ask me what package I am going to get? My answer is the Platinum Package which is really the best package so far. You can actually contact them at tole free number:877-470-2751 and if you call this specific number, you get 2 key chain remotes with your order.

THANK YOU LORD...

FOR HEARING MY PRAYERS...
FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE....
FOR COMFORTING ME WHEN I NEEDED YOU....

It is a humbling experience to fall down. If it changed your life, and you feel, it has made your life miserable, simply trust GOD... He knows what HE is doing.... Rising from the fall may sometimes be difficult, but, the price you have to pay to rise again will be worth it. At least, with you risen from your downfall, you have learned the great lesson imbibed in the experience.

Always TRUST...
Trust your heart..
Trust your instinct...

Trust GOD...

FIND MUSIC SCORES AT 1001sheets.com

From the time I was conceived, up until this very hour, my life has always been reflected in music. Seems like in every event, good or bad, there is a song that fits my mood or that a very song is there to recount what just happened in my life. Whew...
So that explains why ever since I was a kid, I just love music. I love to sing and make music. The only problem is, I did not focus on it much. After college, music became simply a vehicle for me to reach out for my self.. The person who is inside the shell... The person who is not who everyone thinks she is... Then, when my best buddy, Glen Borra died, the XU College Glee Club sort of had a reunion of some sort, so with the preparations we had for his interment, we faced music scores and music sheets again, with Odie SeƱeres taking the place of Prof. Lino Abrio. We were good during that time... but then again, after Glen was buried, we all had to go back to each of our lives, living the selves we have become.

FAST FORWARD:

With the Internet, we, Glee Club Members of Xavier University, are again connected with each other. OMG! We are scattered all over the globe. Odie was inviting me to work in Dubai, as Roy, another glee club alumnus is there already. HE said he is planning to organize a chorale group in Dubai, with all the XU Glee Club Alumni as its founding members. So we searched for the others. There are about eight people already, enough to form a group. The next problem now is where to get the music score and music sheets. I was so sure that I have copies, so I searched but found none. Goodness, I had those music sheets when we were still in college. But mind you, I consider them a treasure because they are the original pieces Prof. Abrio and Father Cuna have arranged from the pieces created by Philippine Music greats. I tried so hard but I really couldn't find any. Must be in the boxes. Without knowing where they have gone, I asked help from Mr. Google and found a site where we can actually get music scores and music pieces that we can use. The website 1001sheets.com offers a wide variety of music information that anyone could use. Membership is free, and joining the forums will surely be a very big help... I think it will be an advantage should Odie push through with the plan... wink..wink...

MDO'S GREEN PARTY

I saw this on every corner of CDO... I guess they have really planned it BIG ei? Well, we'll know that on the 30th...

Looking forward to the said soft reunion...

Distance Learning

My sister is in Manila right now to get a course on Theater or Drama or Acting, whichever comes first. She is a very good actress and a definite thespian: heart, mind and body. She breathes theater like it's the only thing that she can live for. Whew.. Well, she has the talent, so let her be. She is not only good in the craft, she is also a very good trainer with a passion to transform the world of theater and educate the new generation, helping them develop a taste for culture and the arts through theater.

Before she left, I always asked her if she could simply enrol in a distance learning course. That way she stays here in Cagayan de Oro and still be able to get a degree in it. As I already checked available schools offering online classes for their distance learning program. That is easier because we have the Internet connection. But of course, there is the traditional distance learning process where learning materials are sent to the learner's address so with examination papers and all other necessary documents. The learner learns on his or her own pace without ever leaving home.

But then again, on my sister's part, she was given an opportunity to work also in the same setting, which could help her very much when she leaves for Singapore for her TTRP scholarship to start... Oh well, it's all up to the learner. wink..wink...

RANK 1! PRAISE THE LORD...

I am not supposed to blog about this yet, but I am really very happy about the news "The Insider" has sent me just tonight. I received the best news at a time when I am feeling low and experiencing one of life's great jokes...But the news is not a joke, that I should know. My source is indeed very reliable. It said that I ranked 1 on the recent teachers' ranking which I participated this summer.. OMG! My prayer is answered. That means a better life ahead. A better future for Zarelle... well, technically, that is... But like what I said, I have a good GOD who will set everything right as they should... I am hoping for more Good things to come in the next few days... I have given the wheel to God. I am simply driving in autopilot now... Everything for HIS greater glory...AMEN....

Goodnight all..

P.S. The hearing is set on June 5... I pray it will be positive also...

AND THE LIGHT WAS GOOD...

I love chandeliers. That for me is the best home lighting accessory ever made. In choosing lighting fixtures, we should be aware that they have to be functional rather than focusing only on the aesthetic. Take for instance, installing bathroom light fixtures. They should be as they should be. Not too bright, not dimmed as they serve the purpose of lighting an important part of our life. I can not imagine going inside a bathroom with soft pink lights. How am I able to see what I am doing if that is the case? Oh, and what about when you are in a kitchen where kitchen light fixtures are in soft blue tones? How are you able to cook your regular meals that way? lol...

See, our ceiling light fixtures add beauty in our homes. Where they are placed, how they look at the right angle, and how much light they give affects the home environment. Maybe, if you wish to use soft tones, they can be placed in the living room or the bedroom. It is in this very way that light fixtures should be used, in order to add life and not just life to the home. If you know where they should be placed, what colors they should go, then you are good to go.

DANGER AT THE NEW BRIDGE...

I was on a multi cab bound for Balulang two days ago, and this yellow one was parked side by side the one I was on. Being seated at the front, I was able to hear, and join in the conversation between him and the driver of that multi cab I was on... The driver of this yellow cab said that at exactly 10 o'clock in the morning, two days ago, three young men rode his multicab and took all his earnings and the belongings of his passengers. HOLD UP??? AT 10 IN THE MORNING??? UGH!!!
They were picked up outside the building of the Bigby's corporate Office, and when the multi can turned the curve of the new Ysalina Bridge, that was when the crime happened...

They went down unnoticed as there were no other vehicles that passed nor any one in authority that monitored the said incident...

Poor driver.. poor passengers.. Everything taken from them without a fight... Then, after lunch it was on the news... whew... what a news... It was late for two hours... Anyway, I just want to say that we should all be very careful, even in broad daylight. With the current financial crisis, anything could happen. Specially because not everybody can think positively in a negative situation... And worst, there are really some people who just wants an easy way out of poverty...

Certification Boot Camps

Have you ever tried enrolling in an IT certification boot camp program? I heard that programs like this give the opportunity to learn from certified instructors who are experts in the IT industry. And I also gathered that if one is in dire need of becoming certified in the field, but is in a hurry due to work regulations or a job interview a certain company offers bootcamp classes that will help anyone get certified in a week's time. Amazing! I sure would want one. However, I see that it is not yet applicable for me. So I will just have to put that aside for my consumption. But blogging about this may help those who has concerns over this good news.

Since the boot camp courses are only a week, the curriculum is often fast paced and very rigorous. Those that cannot survive such an intense IT certification boot camp are encouraged not to enroll. Yeah, in the first place, that would be a waste of money if you will not be able to finish it right? However, the benefits are tremendous when taking one of the many boot camp classes. There are several certification titles that this company offers their IT boot camp courses and are sure everyone will find what they are looking for.

Here in the Philippines, IT companies are on the rise so perhaps these certification boot camps could help improve IT professionals meet the challenges in their profession. And at a short period of time. Wanna try it? Visit the website.

ON BREAST MILK... and MOTHERS...

Breast milk is indeed still the best for babies. But nowadays, there are just a few moms who can afford to give their babies 100% of this mammary treat. Blame it on the surging economy or the lack of financial freedom, or the fact that moms these days are only given a month of maternity leave (paid), so after that, they have to go back to work...

I still think that babies whose mothers are working, should not be deprived of this natural wonder. It is but proven that when a child is breast fed, he or she is far from diseases and illnesses.

So I am encouraging each and everyone to love breast milk. Love the woman who is the bearer of this gift. And most importantly, show her how important she is and her milk, for the new generation's sake...

GET K ALLIANCE...

I was browsing through google and I came upon a site that tackles online computer training and certification. The company is called k alliance. What is K alliance all about? Well, for those who do not know yet, K Alliance is one great company that offers one of the most comprehensive online computer training on the market with extensive list of video training courses focused on IT certification, IT training, and soft skills. They use a unique training delivery model that is multi-modal. What is multi-modal, by the way? Well, by that it means that they are offering a variety of learning models to choose from including CBTs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, online training, and training delivered over the corporate intranet. Hehehe.. I didn't quite get that at first...

To continue, K Alliance have the e-learning system, which teaches by using training materials developed by world class instructors with years of relevant experience, who are working professionals who bring their real-world experience to the course and offer their insight freely. This come in training videos that are easy to comprehend and are very organized and detailed. One will really be amazed at how easy learning could be. Once training is completed,(we're talking about a K Alliance training CBT here) students can use the K Alliance Master Reviews as a study aid before taking their certification exams. Imagine that? That just makes it all so easy. So if you are interested, please drop by their site for more information.

A PUPPET SHOW WITH A TWIST

Yesterday, I went to Camaman-an again and when I was to go home, I passed by the Basketball court (again). There I saw that Greggy's Goodies have set up a puppet show at the stage for the kids in the area. It was a wonderful show that the kids enjoyed. Unknown to them, having such a show would actually cost a fortune, and they were given the privilege to see it for free.

What I specifically like is that, the puppet show comes with a good message and a moral lesson. What better way to educate the kids and build on values formation...

VENDING MACHINES

When I lived in Manila for almost two years, my life was dependent on the Vending Machines that surrounded me. Sure, I often go to the mall, I do my groceries, and yes Seven Eleven is in every corner, but the thing is, I find it convenient to simply go downstairs and buy my favorite Cola and chips from the vending machines available. I can even buy tissue or sanitary pads in a vending machine without going anywhere else. Oh, and we even have a sandwich and coffee vending machines in the area. No need to walk towards any of the convenient stores which are on every corner of our block. Well, the area I lived in is a commercial area mixed with residential and industrial set ups. So I guess the Vending Machine Business is really very feasible there because of the many patrons of the vending machines. No hassle, no worries, no extra effort. A Vending Machine is truly lifesaving, if you ask me.

Blogging Incentives and Lili

Yesterday I cashed in my paypal earnings and got them thru EON at the Union Bank. My daughter asked me to buy her favorite cake, Choco Buttercreme and Egg Pie from Goldilocks so I did... She really knows that whenever earnings would come from blogging, mommy buys her what she likes... lol... hmmm, I'd like to think that giving that as an incentive for Lili is a good deal. See, whenever she is cross or would act naughtily, I would reprimand her saying that mommy will not blog anymore.
No more income, no more places to visit or food to eat to take pictures... bwahahaha... Then she will behave...(of course the luggage thing is still useful but only if she is really really becoming unpredictable) But hey, I would still continue to blog no matter what... For as long as I have the Internet connection and the PC, no problem... besides, it's an added source for a single mom to survive, not only financially, but psychologically and emotionally. My blog, like its subtitle is indeed my form of therapy...

LOANS

I did mention in a previous post that I was looking fro some information about Small Business Loans for the mother of my student here at Honeysweet, right? Well I kinda have an idea as to where to look, but I also consulted the banks. I came from BDO this afternoon and I inquired. Turned out that Business Loans require a whole lot of paperwork. Plus the fact that the borrower or the client should have sufficient collateral for the said loans to be granted. I wish there are agents here who offer Unsecured Loans for N to apply. That way, she will really be able to get what she can from the said loan. So, in my attempt to bridge all these, I sought the help of Mr. Google, and he lead me to a site that you can trust... EZUnsecured.com, well, they really know the needs of their clients, and by that, know exactly what they are doing. The people working there are very experienced and they take their work very seriously. So expect what is best. Now, if you have Bad Personal Credit and need Unsecured Business Financing, you have to Check out BusinessCreditMagic.com that offers up to $250,000 in Unsecured Business Credit with NO Personal Guarantees. What's more, they don't even need your Social Security Number... Woohoo!! Imagine that.

So, my friends, if you are looking to build your Business Credit for you to obtain the most Financing possible for your Business, BusinessCreditMagic.com is the best option to be found.

So what do you think???

LOVE A MUSTANG! WANNA HAVE ONE?

My friend Lucas has a passion for cars. His first car was an assembled one. Assembled? Yes, assembled. His dad is a mechanic and his knowledge in anything mechanical have grown on him by the mere sight of his dad's humble job. So both he and his dad assembled his first car on weekends until it was done. The style is rather unique so everybody wanted to know how to get one. Of course, Lucas, now earning a bigger salary, looks forward to having another great masterpiece for everyone to behold. Only this time, he wants something really BIG to hit his garage. He has always wanted a Mustang, but found it too difficult to acquire. He resorted to buying an old one to restore, with the desire to make it look better. So he started buying the many different parts starting with Mustang Headlights, then he bought next the Mustang Tail Lights, until he was able to buy a few more parts including the Mustang Grilles. Technically, the restoration has not started yet, but he is hoping it will soon start. He just needs some more of the missing parts. For Lucas, buying the parts is cheaper rather than buying the whole. Buying a new one is quite impossible also.

Way to go, Lucas....

THE PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY IN JORDAN

Anyone interested to enroll in a university would know how much it costs these days. And usually, because of stiff competition, universities draw their own campaigns with the help of crowds of fans and alumni to generate more students to enroll. However, if the university we are talking about have already their names on a pedestal with their pool of successful graduates, like the Philadelphia University in Jordan, for instance, it is no longer a necessity to compete. Because students will be coming anyway. Just like here in Cagayan de Oro City, many universities have sprouted, but not one of them can outlast, out perform and out number the successful graduates of my alma matter, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan. The quality of the school is in the quality of its graduates. Am sure, graduates of Philadelphia University-Jordan would agree with me on that.
Anyway, my Jordanian friend, Amillah, told me that they have a very good cs(College of Science) there. That surely is good to know. In fact, my friend says she is going to study there in the coming school year. The school boasts of the best facilities for their students, and the best Professors in the land. Oh and the panoramic view of the school is indeed something to look forward to. I love the view even if I am only seeing them in pictures at their website, I can already imagine how beautiful the place looks... Having a good view is helpful in learning.

CELL PHONE ANYONE?

Are you looking for a place to buy a phone? Have you tried the malls? Hmm.. Well, there are many phone shops in the city. Have you tried asdas? I heard they have a wide array of cheap cell phones that do not compromise quality.

Looking for a place to buy affordable yet quality phones may be tasking sometimes. If you can't be careful enough, you will lose your hard earned money. I have heard of so many grim tales about being ripped off after buying a unit that does not work after a few days. Surely that could be very frustrating. Right? But of course, if you have all the money in the world and would not care where they are going, it wont matter much to you. But if you ask me, money, just like alcohol, would evaporate, whether you like it or not. So you should spend it wisely.

If you need affordable phones, do not sacrifice quality. Visit cellsphone.com for more information about cell phones...

THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET

After attending the Blogging 101 Workshop conducted by our group, CDO Bloggers, I am now able to identify what an seo blog is and how it is different from a business blog. Since the topics discussed centered on how to create a blog, how to maintain a blog and how to make money with the blog created, I am now more confident to make money and get paid for my hard work.

It is truly a very big help knowing the SEO part of the workshop. Imagine, I kept wondering and praying for PRs to get high, but I am not hitting it right. Now, I can do more than that. I can calculate, I can put the correct keywords that could help for my blog to raise traffic, I can set up a good package for the blog and make it look better. And best thing is, I can now think clearly as to how to make it a better blog. I understand now that I have to find a niche, and build on that. I can even make a business out of it by promoting a business or two. Amazing huh? Gosh. And I thought it is limited to just enrolling in third party companies. Hmm..

Well, a single mom just have to do anything and everything to survive... And thank you LORD for the Internet. It surely is helpful.

A NURSE ON A SCOOTER?

I have posted an earlier entry about the online magazine for nurse,Scrubs, which is in itself a very good source of information and inspiration, not only for those in the Nursing profession but I guess it is applicable for all. Well, we can all be nurses right? For as long as we have the willingness and determination to help others heal and walk towards a better life through good health practices. My aunts, cousins and even my sister are in the Nursing profession. When one is sick in our clan, we do not worry because we are assured of a nurse to take care of us. However, my mom, who is not a nurse, but, a teacher by profession, also gives the best care as a nurse should. Well, regardless of the profession, if the heart is willing, then anyone can be a nurse...

Nursing, by profession is humbling and life saving. But to a nurse, I am pretty sure, it is life changing. When we deal with death or a near death situation affecting others, and when we do not know what to do about it, we end up on our knees to pray. Helping others realize the inevitable, at the same time helping others move on and heal psychologically, emotionally, even spiritually. Chances are, if tragedy strikes others, a nurse is the willing companion. She or he is there for the patient. But what happens when the tragedy will strike and hit the nurse herself. Let's say for example, not being able to hear anymore, or not being able to walk anymore... Should the nurse simply give up nursing? How can the rest of the nursing community help a fellow nurse in need of healing? When disability strikes, it is not only the physical aspect of a person that is in question parallel to the nursing profession. But mostly, the psychological and emotional as well. However, if a nurse with disability will be given a chance to go back to work as a nurse despite the disability, I am pretty sure that it will make the nurse feel better about the world and about herself. Nothing is ever more frustrating than not being able to do the things that you are used to do, especially when you know you do it well. In the US, this problem is not so much of a problem because of the disability act that supports nurse with disability. They can still function with the help of gadgets and the cooperation of the people in her/his environment. So I wouldn't be surprised that a nurse in a hospital will do her rounds on a scooter. I read that in Scrubs... if you wish to do the same follow this link:

http://www.scrubsmag.com/articles/money/money-heart/would-you-accept-rn-scooter/?utm_source=b

Inspiring right? As an advocate for Special Education, I do believe that students with disability should be allowed to take up nursing. They should not be treated differently because in one way or another, they can still be able to function as equally as that person without any disability.

PHOTO TAKEN BY A THREE YEAR OLD...

My daughter is a certified blogista's daughter (blogger's daughter). See, whenever we go out to eat or go somewhere to enjoy a scenery or watch anything and everything within sight, she would be the one to remind me to take a picture or two, for my blog/s... lol.. And like the photo above, sometimes, she would take the picture herself and tell me to blog about it... lol.... Why? Well, she knows that every $$$ sent to my paypal account is eventually for her to enjoy... Oh, she enjoys looking at herself in my blogs, she loves her "work" (like the photo above) featured in my blog/s... I think it gives her satisfaction... Well, like what I told you in my previous posts, my three year is like a forty year old trapped in a three year old's body... lol...

Thanks to my cousin Abby of DASH IN BETWEEN to be the first to comment on this post.. Welcome to the world of Bloggers dear...

SMALL BUSINESS LOANS...

Do you know where one could get Small Business Loans here in Cagayan de Oro City? I am thinking, if the mother of the three boys I am teaching for free can get one, she will be able to finance a small sari-sari store that could help her and the kids by next school year. She is a hard working woman, but the husband still has no stable job, and sometimes, they do not have food to eat... Such a pitiful sight. Hey, this is just me and my loud thoughts... But just in case you know where she can get the said loan, do leave a comment here. Okay? Thanks much...

My Brother, The Cowboy... The Bullrider...

My brother has always been sporty. He started out with basketball, then wall climbing, then the cowboy games such as bull riding, bull wrestling, bulldogging and all others. In whatever sport he seems to excel. In the house he has trophies and all other proofs of his sporty nature. The latest I saw are the ones below. I have not seen them before mainly because he has kept them unseen, and locked up in his room. Now, my mother placed them with the rest of the other family members' trophies and plaques of appreciation...

He's gone to many places just to compete. Not only here in Mindanao, but also in Luzon and the Visayas... and when he comes home, he brought with him the said goodies..

I'm proud of you "Play-Agz"... (a.k.a elden jomari)

CDO BLOGGERS BLOGGING 101 WORKSHOP...

The above posters were seen, which led us all to get the ticket below at P 200.00 per head, with meals and certificates afterward:

Earlier this afternoon I attended my first ever meeting with CDO Bloggers. Quite informally though. I wore my CDO Bloggers Tee shirt and I brought in a guest. Well, there were supposedly 2 but my cousin stood me up and went to Midway with another cousin. Hmmm.. It's okay. She missed a lot from the workshop, and I learned something more about the blogging business... Oh, and I met the rest of the guys who I am only able to communicate with through plurk...

Anyway, I will blog more about this when I am done uploading the pictures.. okay?

SCRUBS

My sister, Sweet, is a licensed teacher who was supposed to be teaching in the Public school last school year, but have decided to go back to Nursing School and pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse. Now on her third year, she has become so busy with all the requirements that we seldom see each other. One time when she came here at the orange house to go online, and while she was browsing many clinical sites for her project, she showed me a site, Scrubs, that is unique. It talks about the lifestyle of nurses, a very inspiring site indeed. It is uplifting, positive, fun, warm, direct, timely and gives nurses a whole new dimension in the career they have chosen. I like the tips and the "Nurse of the Week" part of the online magazine. Funny, I could have been a nurse too if I did not stop. The site reminded me of the humble profession, Nursing. And there's also the part of the online magazine, "The Scrubbies" that is really good in boosting morale for Nurses. Here's why...

The Scrubbies allows you to give out an award or two for a particular Nurse or Nursing Student who deserves the said award/s. Like my sister, Sweet, I am giving her the award because I know she will be one of the best in the said profession. She has already proven that many times by the way she cares for my parents at home. Monitoring their blood pressure, and all the vital signs when necessary, reminding my parents when to take their medication and all others. It's like having our personal nurse at home. You too can give an award to your favorite nurse. If you wish to give the award below, go to this link:

http://www.scrubsmag.com/awards-for-nurses/?utm_source=b

Aside from that, you can also participate in POLLS. That's also a fun thing to do at the site. Just go to this link:

http://www.scrubsmag.com/content/what-your-favorite-fictional-portrayal-nurse-0/?utm_source=b

And like what I mentioned earlier, TIPS or The Tip Jar gives out so much information about health and wellness that we could actually use in daily life. Follow this link:

Congratulations...

Before Lili got sick, she attended our graduation rites at Our Lady of Fatima Therapeutic Foundation Clinic. I think it was the food that she ate at the venue, The Lighthouse, that caused her sickness. Not that the food was bad, it's just that she may not have chewed on them before she swallowed.. You know what I mean? Dyspepsia...That's one angle, Dr. Garay told me...

Anyway, that is our house help, Bissa Saldo during her graduation... She graduated with Honors.. 4th Place.. Congratulations Bissa... we are proud of you...
